Nothing better to make your day than a well-written sexy book, full of demons! Fast-paced and with very interesting characters, this book is definitely worth-reading! Fatal, is half-demon, half-human Navajo healer and all her life she thought that all demons are bad. Soon, she meets Orobus and her life changes. She has to accept the truth about her origin and her fate. I have to be honest and say that, although, I liked Fatal, it wasn’t that wasn’t the case from the beginning. At first, I found her kind of reckless and naïve, but soon I changed my mind. She was mad with her parents and with the whole demonic world because she never was loved until then and she was hurting. But she gave them a second chance and saw the truth. It wasn’t easy for her to be in a relationship and she did many mistakes but she admitted it and that is something that I admire. She’s a survivor and passionate and it was a pleasure to see the development of her character through the story. Orobus is the poster boy of the sexy demons! I loved him because he was determined not only to make Fatal his but to teach her everything she needs to know and he wasn’t going easy on her. He wants her to understand how a relationship works because he knows that she found herself in a whole different world and it’s not easy to accept this new reality. This story has a very interesting world-building and it’s definitely a book that I recommend to all the fans of this genre! My only complaint is that in the beginning and in the end some things happened quickly and I wanted more details. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much!

Review: When I first picked up this book I didn't really know how much I would get into it. The book looked dark and different and I didn't realize until half way through that I was addicted. At first it was a little bit of a drag especially with the character development. I am use to my heroines to be independent, strong and calculated. That wasn't the case with Fatal. In the beginning I thought she was very childish with serious mommy and daddy issues. I know that sounds harsh but hear me out. The author did a great job in changing that idea. Fatal did evolve and by the end of this novel she had transformed into a character that I could relate to in ways. She in a way has the redeeming quality that isn't found to many times in books. On the other side of interesting characters is Orubus. I still believe I mispronounced his name the entire book but it didn't change the fact that I had a new book boyfriend for the past three days. The cover did not convey his image like I had thought it in my mind, which was a shame. He's very swoon worthy ladies. He is to me the ultimate alpha male (demon category) that I have found. If you enjoy dominant, pushy male characters than he is the one for you. Readers will definitely appreciate the author's development of this hunk. But I hope they know that not all actions are what they seem. You can have a male that acts tough and hard but in the end, the reasons behind his actions were completely different. Add both of these characters together and you get some steam that I don't know if a fire extinguisher could contain. Both these characters act and are written like they are not only destined but fated to be together in the face of a literal hell like dimension lingering over them or should I say around them. The author, Mahalia Levey, did a very fine job in writing this novel. There were not a ton of grammatical errors that I saw and trust me that can definitely take away from any good story-line. The details were fantastic and she really made scenes come alive in the details she gave. All in all I'd say she definitely captivated this reader. So I have given her novel 4.5 stars out of 5. I left off the other 0.5 only because like I said at the beginning I was half tempted to put it down and also the cover needs a little sprucing up. Great job though.

REVIEW: Fatal, who was born half demon from a Navajo Mother, struggles to learn about the other half of her heritage. Seperated from her parents at birth, shunned and made to leave the only life she has ever known, Fatal goes out on her own only to be plagued with demon attacks. She will do anything to survive. Orobus, a prince of Hell, comands his legions and his private club "Demonic Persuasion". He waits for the day that his mate will come back to him, little does he know that she will walk into his club, right under his nose and be put under her spell. Then she walks right back out of his life. Will he ever find her again? Soon Fatal is forced to face the man she left months ago. Once Orobus finds Fatal he won't let her get away again. All Fatal wants is to be left alone to the only life she knows but Orobus is determined to make her let go of the past and let him in. But will someone's betrayle ruin all they have worked for??? This is a story of hardship, love, happiness and understanding. I LOVED this book. It has action, love, betrail and best of all hot adult scenes. Once you start the book you can't put it down. It pulls you in from the beginning and you don't want it to end. I would love to see this book made into a series or a full length novel. There is sooo much to take in that the story keeps you hoppin'. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance with a very erotic twist. This is the first book I have read from Mahalia Levey but I can guarantee you that it won't be the last!!! -Brandy

I received this book for an honest review. I love my paranormal books; I tend to gravitate toward the vampire and shifter series so I was a little nervous about the demonic world. Mahalia did a great job at the world building. It was never slow I was always captivated and intrigued by the story. It was difficult for me to put the book down. Fatal was sassy, strong willed and definitely kept everyone on their toes. Orobus was a hot alpha male, sexy and dominate. Fatal (Ackchetta) was born half Navajo healer and half high-level princess of Hell. She is forced to return to her mother’s Navajo tribe to learn their ways of healing before being allowed to return to her parents in the demon world. She is treated with disrespect and only used for her healing powers. Fatal depends, trusts, and relies on no one but herself. She is a kick ass woman that can hold her own and take care of herself. She doesn’t need anyone to protect her. This is the kind of character I really like not the “oh poor me, I need a man to help me” out of a situation. OH no not Fatal, she gets herself into tough situations and she fights to get out, may not always be able to do it on her own but she doesn’t sit back and let a man do it for her she is right there in the mix. When Fatal is attacked by demons her grandfather kicks her out of the tribe and she is left on her own. Fatal stumbles upon a club which is owned by none other than the HOT sexy Orobus. When Orobus realizes Fatal is his mate he is on a mission to make her his no matter what. He is determined to break down her walls and show her that some can be trusted to love her and not use her. Orobus even tries to protect her from the devil when she does wrong. He can be dominate and not explain things just expect her to obey which is so not Fatal and ends up getting her into trouble. She is such a strong willed woman she will take on anyone and everyone and I mean EVERYONE she does not care who it is. If she thinks she is being wronged she does not hold back. I have to say the chemistry between Fatal and Orobus was Oh my HOT. When these two are together there is no putting the book down you have to keep reading. I loved the different levels of hell in this series I could imagine walking around in it and going to the different levels and seeing the different places. As I said before, Mahalia did a wonderful job on the world building. The personalities of the different characters were there also not just with Fatal and Orobus but with Fatal’s family too. I want to know more about her brother he was so intriguing to me. Then there was McKayla oh which reminds me about Club Contraband and the fights…oh the fights…They were great. There were so many characters which means there are so many possibilities for the series. I cannot wait to see what Mahalia has in store for the next adventure.

Toss out your preconceived notions of Hell. I’m not saying it’s the greatest place to live, but those evil demons have feelings, too. Welcome to Mahalia Levey’s version of Hell and demons, love and sacrifice with Demonic Persuasion. With a blend of ancient Navajo customs and beliefs and the denizens of Hell, you are about to embark on a raw and gritty trip where explicit and brutal sex runs rampant, tension runs high and it isn’t just in Hell. If you are squeamish about lots of sex or whip lashing, you might want to turn back, if not…settle in. Fatal is half-demon, half Navajo, growing up with her Navajo grandfather, but she is grown and it’s time for her to choose her future, the unknown of life with demons or the many unkindnesses bestowed on her lonely life by the Navajo. She chooses to be as independent as possible as her demon family try to welcome her in their own way. Enter Orobus, a lower level Prince of Hell, cocky, self-assured and determined to win Fatal’s trust and heart, no matter the price he pays for her insolence and lack of knowledge of the demon way. Is Fatal worth the pain Orobus endures? Will her independent stubbornness prove her downfall? They have chemistry, but is it limited to sexual chemistry or will they find something more? Can a lifetime of cruelty be overcome through love? Mahalia Levey does not shy away from “in-your-face” scenes, action and romance in the world of demons she has created. She has, however given their range of emotions a careful remake. They are still brutal and vicious, but do they actually go through life doing many of the same things humans do? As intriguing and fascinating as this take on the demonic realm is, the fast pace and constant action make it even better. I found I didn't need to like the characters all of the time to be invested in their tale. Personally, I could have had a little less graphic violence and sex, but overall, I think this is going to be a series that will captivate! I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest review. The feeling of mistrust runs deep as she struggles to decide which side of the divide she truly belongs. After being cast aside and shown cruelty at the hands of her grandfather's people, Fatal refuses the affection that the demon family she's never known show her, thinking instead that her independence is more important than finding something worth holding on to. Orobus, lower level Prince of Hell, seeks to earn Fatal's trust and lead her away from the misguided ways she's learned at the hands of people who mistreated her. Breaking through the hard shell she's erected around herself proves to be much harder than anticipated and the punishment from lack of experience in her demonic ways will prove to be much more painful than necessary, but Orobus refuses to let Fatal believe she's not worth every lash of the whip he receives. How can you not fall for a guy who willingly throws himself into the line of fire meant for you? Although Orobus comes off cocky, arrogant, and a bit 'jerkish', he also cares deeply and refuses to be pushed away when it's obvious that Fatal needs a hero. Independent, strong willed, and stubborn are possibly Fatal's best attributes but they're also her greatest weaknesses. The chemistry between Orobus and Fatal is unexplainable but definitely evident in the way they possess each other through sex. It's after the physical attraction has been sated that they both realize how much they need one another and so the painful healing process begins. I really appreciated the combination of both the Navajo culture mixed with that of a demon as it made for a unique and interesting storyline. Fast paced and full of interesting characters/creatures, this story sets up an interesting dynamic in the demon realm. In the end, I got the impression that this can't be all there is, when characters from the story start staking their claim in the plotline spotlight. This is my first Mahalia Levey read and I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of her work. Review also posted @ Night Owl Reviews: http://www.nightowlreviews.com/nor/

I loved this book! It's way different than any other romance type novel I've read, but then again it's not. It still has tons of romance, tons of sex, and a good storyline all woven together in a masterful product that makes you hopeful that these a second book in the works. Fatal steals your heart even though she's a loud mouth and keeps getting herself and the ones she loves in trouble. Orobus grounds you in reality and helps take the edge off of Fatal's sass with his romancing of her. All in I loved this book! When I got this book, I only had the blurb to go by so I wasn't sure what to truly expect. Let me tell you I so need to read book #2. Ackchetta a.k.a. Fatal and Orobus are the main characters in this book. Fatal is half demon/half human (Navajo) and a healer while Orobus is an oracle and has these visions, that when it comes to himself, are not complete. He is also a lower level demon prince who serves his master Azazel. While Fatal is on the run from her father whom, she feels abandoned her at birth, she ends up at the club Demonic Persuasion owned and operated by Orobus. That is when this story starts to kick up into high gear (in more ways than one). Did I mention this book is white HOT!!!! The scenes when Fatal and Orobus get together are always intense and yet you can always see there is more to them then just the heavy sex they have. You see a girl starved for love and acceptance and a man who actually learns to care for someone other than himself. For him it is normal to not feel things, being the demon that he is, but with Fatal all that changes. You would think that this would be enough of a good story but wait Mahalia throws in an underhanded plot devised by someone you wouldn't expect. This book had me captivated as well as blushing....lmao. I have never read a book that centered exclusively on demons and I found it to be an unexpected thrill. Mahalia sure knows how to make a demon sound sexy. On a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 10. If you are 18+ and truly looking for your not so typical demon story were love and trust can make a difference without coming off as corny than you really need to get a copy of Demonic Persuasion. I wasn't sure how I would feel about this story but I am proud to say I really loved it. I can't wait til book #2. Link: http://www.mahalialevey.com/

She had lived believing her parents didn’t care about her and had sent her to Earth from her native Hell, loving her brother more than her because he was allowed to stay behind. The poor woman lived a life feeling inadequate, unloved, and alone. Her demon side started to manifest, and being the strong woman she’d taught herself to be, she fought the demons chasing her in order to survive. She kept her vulnerability inside out of necessity—after all, if she showed weakness, the demons might well kill her. After meeting Orobus, Fatal finds her world turned upside down. Not only is she attracted to him, but he takes her back to Hell, where she discovers her whole life had been orchestrated by forces beyond her control—beyond her parents’ control. She also discovers that someone who she trusted with her whole heart betrays her. That had to hurt. I liked the way Orobus loved her enough to allow Fatal to come to terms with what she learns by herself. He risked her hating him, risked her thinking that he didn’t care, but in order for her to accept the past and understand it and the future, she needed to face up to things alone—quite sad, really, when you think she’d been alone her whole life. He helps her with this too, but ultimately he teaches her to accept so that she becomes a stronger person for it. I loved that about him. I also liked the contrast between the robust, feisty Fatal on the outside and the vulnerable, needy woman on the inside. She hid her feelings out of habit and needed to learn that she could love someone—someone who loved her unconditionally and without expecting anything in return. This is an alien concept for her and something she struggled with. The world created in Demonic Persuasions was the highlight for me, and having the Devil not as evil as we think he is was a nice touch. There are reasons he behaves as he does when being evil, and this mirrors Fatal’s experience—not everything we know is true; just because some say this is how it is, doesn’t mean it’s so. A good lesson in that we shouldn’t believe everything we hear. The world…great with all the demons and various people residing both on Earth and in Hell. The description of Fatal’s eyes near the beginning of the book. I also liked the hidden meaning behind her wearing contacts. She wears them to hide her eyes, hide who she really is, because they give her away, and I felt for her and every single person out there who feels they have to disguise themselves to suit others. Why, oh why can’t we just be us? The theme of acceptance and understanding someone else’s view of the same situation. I enjoyed the demon-ness of Demonic Persuasions. So many different people to imagine that I felt like a kid in a candy shop.

I was expecting great things from Demonic Persuasion but I was left confused and mildly irritated. Fatal has been shunned by the community she was raised in because of her half demon heritage. She leaves to strike out on her own and winds up fighting in demonic bars to earn her keep. When Orobus spots her in his bar he is drawn to her presence before he enforces their contract made at her birth and whisks her off to Hell. When Orobus spots her in his bar he is drawn to her presence before he enforces their contract made at her birth and whisks her off to Hell. Fatal really wasn’t a strong character, she was one contradiction after another. She acted tough was tough but then seemed to fall apart about halfway through. She has the training of the Navajo healers, her birth mothers people, and hates her demonic side. She also hates her parents hates Orobus and hates the life she has been forced to lead. But then all of a sudden, she can’t be without Orobus, loves her brother and runs to her mother’s open arms a day after telling them all she hated them. That was the entire tone of Demonic Persuasion, that and trying to confuse the reader to the point of violent frustration. Every third page I was re-reading entire paragraphs just to figure out if Fatal was still in Hell or on Earth. Orobus who apparently has this highly valued contract with Fatal’s father giving him possession of her and the right to mate her against her will didn’t even know who she was even after she stated her true name. Then six chapters later he is telling her how he had been waiting so long for her to come to him. Not to mention the complete character change when Fatal is forced to go to Hell after being knocked unconscious, and waking up in a strange room, does she try to run? Does she put up any sort of a fight against the being she hates most in this world? Of course not, the next course of action is to so clearly jump into bed with a demon prince of Hell and wake up the next day like this is the life you have been living for the last ten years even though you still hate the person you just woke up next to. The real killer for me was when Orobus was beaten to within an inch of his life for covering for Fatal, he told her it would take him two weeks or so to recover from the poison infested wounds and yet he’s up the next morning for another exciting round of I-don’t-like-you-and-there-is-no-logical-reason-for-me-to-be-doing-this sex. Demonic Persuasion was a buffet of absurdity. Levey took a good idea and hacked it to pieces with incoherent writing, jumpy timelines and a very shaky main character that didn’t seem to know who or what she was. I have been known to have masochistic tendencies, but even I will not be sitting down the next instalment of this trainwreck. Find this review at storywings.com

    Sassy Moms Say Read Romance

I want to thank Mahalia Levey for providing me with a copy of this so I could write this review. Now this isn't a genre I would normally read since it's got a dark supernatural aspect to it, but I LOVED IT. I have said this in other reviews for this story (my personal Goodreads and Amazon) but this story is HOTTER THAN HELL pun completely intended. This story is very well written and Mahalia has done a wonderful job of building what Hell would be like and what the demons of the underworld look like (and let me tell you if she is even 1% right about it I wouldn't mind going to tell at all). She also does a fantastic job of helping us see that not everything has to be bad and that there are good things that can happen in the underworld. I know you probably want to know more about Fatal (which for about 40% of the book I pronounced wrong in my head) as well as Orobus, but you know what Im going to be mean and not tell you... I am going to make you go out and get the book for yourself and let you learn all about them on your own. I promise you though that you will love it and enjoy getting to know each of the characters... But as I told Mahalia I want a certain dragon to breath fire at all the time... ;) Happy Reading... Adri

Achchetta, better known as Fatal, is half demon/half human Navajo healer who has been shunned all her life because of her demon side. Her demon father is trying to make contact with her by sending his minions and she wants nothing to do with him. Because of one of these encounters from her fathers demons, she is cast out of her tribe and left to her own devises. One night she comes upon a club, Demonic Persuasion, where she meets the ever so sexy club owner, Orobus. What I love most about this book is that there is a real actual story line that is good and not centered on the sex in the book. If you are looking for a book that is unique and steamy then this is the one for you! I've never read a book in any genre that mixes demonology and Native American culture. Plus there are other supernatural creatures intermingled in. There will definitely be at least another book if not a few more. I look forward to reading them all!

Hot as Hell, Yes my pun is totally intended, but its with good reason. This story is absolutely fantastic and so hot. The world that is created though it is hell it is a world that we really don't know much about so Mahalia has created one that we can all understand. Her characters are strong, sassy, and determined. It is a pleasure to read and look forward to whatever she has for us next. Hot as Hell, Yes my pun is totally intended, but its with good reason. This story is absolutely fantastic and so hot.
