the story's ok and what you expect. don't look for character development or complex characterization. the heroine falls in love within hours of meeting the hero. i understand we need to accelerate the relationship so we can get right to the whoopie, but c'mon. could they at least have 3 separate conversations before we're thrust into undying, jealous love? so far, i think Ral's Woman is the best of this series because Ariel was the least annoying of the women. Shanna starts off ok - street tough chick who knows how to fight and doesn't take any crap from anyone. she quickly gets annoying when she a) refuses to shut up long enough to let Berrr explain the differences in Zorn society, but has the nerve to get pissed off at him when the results of her cluelessness come back to bite her in the ass and b) gets all insecure and emotional for no reason when Berrr has to send her to his son's house temporarily to protect her from his bitch wife. him and the wife are separated and she basically refuses to let him out of the relationship out of spite. Shanna knows this but her insane, irrational, and insecure brain has her immediately jumping to the conclusion that he must be taking her to his son's home so he can get back with his wife - the woman he has made clear he cannot stand. i wanted to jump into my kindle and slap the stupid out of her. thankfully, it only lasted about a chapter.

5 Berrr’s Vow Stars Yes, yes, yes! I am soooo glad we got Hyvin Berrr’s story. He really needed an HEA. After what he has been through he deserved to find someone who wanted to be with him and who makes him happy. I really liked that Shanna isn’t meek, she is a strong-willed human who fights for what she wants. I think she is perfect for the leader of the Zorn people. There are other warriors I would like to see books from. I am sad that there only seems to be one more novella left of this series 5 Berrr’s Vow Stars Yes, yes, yes! I thought this book was good, though I really liked the first two books better. I did like the fact that Shanna is a kick-ass woman even if she is a human. And Berrr is great - an alpha male (THE alpha male of their planet), but is also sensitive and a bit sad because of his circumstance with his current bound. The thing is if he is such a great ruler then how in the HELL did his bound bitch get him to bound to her again. I mean, that is just a dumbass move. I guess after all the grief that he gave his sons about their human mates it is only fitting he has fate bite him in the ass.

I haven't been too impressed with the last two books from this series but decided to finally read it based on the high ratings on a lot of listopia polls. I really wasn't expecting much as Hyvin Berrr, the hero in this book, wasn't a fav character of mine in previous books. Cons in wanting to read this book including he was the father of the previous book characters and staid rigid leader of the Zorn warriors with an intense dislike of Earth women mating with his sons. Pros once I did read this book: he was the father/leader of the planet who didn't like or understand Earth women. I love it when the silent strong alpha guy gets his butt handed back to him by us weak fragile human girls. Go Shanna!!! Having read the previous books of the series I was up to speed on the customs and differences in the Zorn culture but a reader who hasn't read book 1, 2, or 3 may be get confused so reading the previous books is advised. But if you have read the previous books and were put off on this one like I was. Man oh man, this was really good and you won't regret reading it. My big problem now is I want the author to give Vinlotti, a secondary character in this book, his own story so very much but see that it's not in the works right now. Please Laurann Dohner write another installment in this series featuring Vinlotti. He shouldn't be made to live in book character limbo. He is deserving in my eyes!!!

Laurann tells amazing stories full of characters that are so vivid and wonderful. The love scenes are always smoking hot so there is never any more to ask for. I truely hope this isn't the last of the Zorn Warriors. I fell in love with a secondary character, Vinlotti, and I am overly hopeful that he will receive a book of his own soon.

Meh. Once again, we see the native females both portrayed in a negative light, and forced out of their home by a human woman. First off, the h, after finding him in bed with all 6, yes; 6, of his house helpers, says she's not going to let him touch her. He then proceeds to tie her up. The helpers threaten her. He makes all sorts of promises he's not in position to keep, she then LETS him and... He's surprised that his house helpers attack her. So is she, for that matter. Am puzzled at the paradox that is the female physician. Females have no rights, no freedom, so how is she a Dr?

Very pleasantly surprised after I really disliked the 3rd in the series. If I hadn't already purchased this I might not have gone back to this series and that would have been a shame. The conflict of misunderstandings caused by their two different cultures was pretty well done and the ultimate conflict was true to the culture and the personalities set up over the series. I hope there will be more books in the series.

Felt a little better about the beginning of this book than the rest of them, but by the end it was just as bad... worse actually. The dichotomy of the respect for personhood between the Zorn women and human women was hideous. Nothing got better by the end of the series either.

Well im so glad Berr's ganna find true love in this book! he deserves better than his wife. We learned in this book that Berr and his bond mate broke up in a way and she went to her true love, but when her mate wanted to kill him he had to protect himself and kill her mate, thus making her mad and she demanded him to bond to her again as punishment for the rest of his life. Ral and Ariel have their first child, its a girl and they named her Destiny. i love the part in this book where Shanna challenges Berr's bound to the death, and she ends up kicking the Vorn lady's ass. well, she did take boxing lessons and all so that was a bonus for her, and at the end she didnt kill the lady but just made her uncoiuncess for a few minutes. So now Berr accepts her as his bound mate and everyones happy....well most anyway. i love love love Vinlotti in this book. he is one of berr's closest friends and makes this book more funnier. in the end everyones happy and Shanna and Berr even plan to have their own little minion kids :)

This was another great addition to the Zorn Warriors series. I absolutely loved it! Berrr was an amazing hero. I loved that he constantly did what was necessary to keep Shanna feeling secure and safe. I loved how tough she was and how she did not back down from a fight. He was appropriately strong and He-man tough but so beautifully sweet and tender. They were a perfect match for each other. Lots of "awww" moments to swoon at. And plenty of Grrrreat warrior lovin too. I got a feeling there could be some new stories about these wonderful warriors. However, the main family seems to be all dialed in now. So I'm curious if the author is ending this or if she will continue to write more delicious stories in the series. I truly hope so because they are wonderful and we aren't ready to say goodbye to them quite yet!

I absolutely LOVED this series. I started reading it two days ago and went on a marathon of reading all books available. I checked the author's site and there looks to be more books to be added! I hope the next book is on Vhon, the youngest brother, and the following is on Coto, Rever's bestie and almost-adopted like son to Berr. My favorite of the series, would still have to be Book One, "Ral's Woman", though. It was the most interesting and kept me wanting more. My favorite of the series, would still have to be Book One, "Ral's Woman", though. It was the most interesting and kept me wanting more. I think what sold me was the beginning after Ariel was deemed unfit to breed with the alien race that had kidnapped her from Earth and then she is then out off for auction in front of another alien race that was also enslaved. The only catch of course, is that in this "auction," warriors have to battle each other in order to win Ariel. Enter, Ral, whom you find out is the first born son and heir to the kingdom of Zorn. Ral, spots Ariel and enters the competition to win her as his own. He wins her and the story is set. Only, when Ral and his race escape capture and return back to his planet, his father (the ruler of Zorn) isn't too pleased with his choice of bound. SO, MOVING ON.... I also liked "Tempting Rever," as I was curious as to how things would pan out since Rever had already bounded himself to a human woman but later falls in love with another human woman who's warrior had died in a rebellion on the ship that Rever was on. The woman though is already spoken for as her as now she is set to now become the bound of her dead bound's brother! Aish. As for "Kidnapping Casey" and "Berr's Arrow," they were just okay. Enjoyable but rather not as pleasing as books one and three for me. I can't wait for the next installments!!

This is by far my favorite of the Zorn Warrior books. The father of the 3 previous brothers that I’ve read has finally met a human that he wants. I think what I loved most about Berrr falling for a human was his initial reactions to his sons taking a human female as a mate. He has always seen any female as weak, he believes human females are even weaker. He even feels that they will weaken his royal/elite bloodline when his sons start having children. He has always seen any female as weak, he believes human females are even weaker. He even feels that they will weaken his royal/elite bloodline when his sons start having children. Oh yes, karma found Berrr. Shanna has had a rough life. Her life becomes even rougher when she is abducted by aliens to be auctioned off as a sex slave. She has never had anyone to protect her from the sometime cruel life fate can give. This life has made her tough. This life has given her the necessary skills to defend herself and knock Berrr flat on his ass. Berrr has an intense blend of nurturing caring male with his alpha planet ruler persona that all must concede too. He only wants to keep Shanna safe. He has quickly come to see her as much more than a weak human. The biggest problem for Berrr and Shanna is the person who almost see’s to her death. I loved this conflict. At many times it seems impossible for Berrr and Shanna to get to their much desired happily ever after. I don’t want to give too much away with how the conflict works out, but it was perfect. I can’t wait for more books to come out in this series. I love these Zorn males! I just have to decide which one of Laurann’s other series I will be moving onto next. Her Cyborg Seduction or her New species series. If anyone has an opinion on that please feel free to tell me.

Shanna is a wonderful character. She is a woman who has been victimized but refuses to be a victim herself. I liked it! It's been pretty much a while since the last time I touch this series and gosh, I miss it! I miss Laurann Dohner's style of writing and with this book I was like, finally. I love how fierce Shanna is. Even though we all know how everything will end up, especially with Dohner's Alpha Male, it's refreshing to read strong heroine. Another great addition to the Zorn Warrior's series. One thing that I really enjoyed was how kick ass Shanna was. Most of Laurann Dohner's heroines are awesome but tend to be soft, gentle and a bit submissive. Shanna didn't take no shit from anyone especially Berrr and I loved it. You go girl. Hope to get more books in this series...there is still Vhon who is single (hint hint). Another great addition to the Zorn Warrior's series. I love this book! I had been looking forward to Berrr’s story since I found out he was getting one and this book did not disappoint me on that front. I loved him and Shanna together and I could not get enough of their story. I swear I couldn’t turn my Kindle pages fast enough! All I can really say is that I love this world! Each book in the Zorn Warriors series has just drawn me deeper and I am really sad that I am getting close to the end. I just want more of these characters and Laurann’s brill I love this book! Hmmm. It was a fun sci-fi erotica romance to read. And I liked the heroines strength yet I didn't like her because she was just so quick to jump to assumptions and judgments. And the book wasn't long enough for her to truly redeem herself. And I feel the more in depth Zorn culture is just random. Like sharing house helpers. And where is the knowledge or scenes of the men getting ill from lack of sexual activity? No one explained this stuff to our heroine. But a fun read. Hmmm. 4.5 stars. If I pull another re-read I might have to up that. (I adore this series!!!) Burr is the father to the warriors in the previous books. He was the jerk responsible for having Ral & Ariel's sexual encounter monitored (video taped) - which was broadcast on the Zorn version of the internet. This was SO motivating to the Zorn warriors, many of them decided they wanted a human mate. This was SO motivating to the Zorn warriors, many of them decided they wanted a human mate. So in essence, Burr is responsible for human women being so sought after on Zorn, and kidnapped and sold on the black market to Zorn warriors. Shanna is an earthling kidnapped by another race of aliens. She was part of a group being sold at an auction to Zorn warriors. She isn't meek, but instead fought and was saved for last in the auction. Burr and his security forces find the illegal auction, but the slaver aliens & declare it against the law for humans to be slaves on Zorn. By this time, everyone wants a human woman, so even the good guys are fighting over who gets Shanna. She requests Burr's protection even tho he can not "bound" (marry/mate) with her since he is already in an estranged 'Bound' relationship. Shanna & Burr go back to his home, & she accepts that she will be one of his 'House Helpers' but she thinks it is more of a live-in maid/cook position. Burr already has several House Helpers who are not happy to see Burr bring home a human woman. There are several misunderstandings between the two which cause friction & eventually bring them closer. I found the sex scenes between them to be HOOOOOT hot HOT. Burr is a giver. (grin) The initial conflict in the story is Burr's Zorn House Helpers jealousy of the human. Burr is clearly enchanted with Shanna & has declared he will touch no others but her. The five house-helpers begin threatening Shanna when Burr is not around. Shanna doesn't shrink from their threats & eventually ends up fighting all five of them when Burr leaves for work. She holds her own for most of it, but ends up being rescued by Burr's son Rever. Burr is furious at what has happened and kicks all the helpers out while becoming even more protective of Shanna. The main villain is Burr's estranged wife/Bound, Alluwn. It was an arranged 'Bounding' and she clearly detests Burr. She does everything she can to make Burr miserable, including trying to hurt him through his new girl Shanna. Burr is hosting some of the leaders from other parts of Zorn & has stashed Shanna at one of his sons homes so that no one touches her. (House Helpers are considered available for guest 'use' on Zorn) Burr's evil 'Bound' Alluwn tricks Shanna into coming back to Burr's house and of course, all the male guests want a turn, especially the super-hairy mean one. One of the guest leaders protects Shanna until Burr gets back home. (Hope that guy gets his own story!!) Shanna ends up challenging Alluwn in a fight to claim Burr. Alluwn is known as a warrior-woman and a good fighter. Shanna takes her down with a non-lethal wrestling move. Everyone is impressed. Shanna wins the right to Bound with Burr. You see a little of Ral & Ariel in this book as Ariel gives birth. Ral is freaked out over Ariel's health & is causing a scene in the hospital. Burr has to go to calm him and Shanna gets to meet Ariel. HEA. I really enjoyed this book and have re-read it several times. I can not WAIT for the next Zorn warrior book. LD's web site says there are three more Zorn warrior books coming,

4.5 Vowing Stars Berrr’s Vow is book 4 in the Zorn Warriors series. We are taken back to Zorn were Warrior’s want human women to bound with; because they can fulfill all there sexual needs. If you have read the other books in this series then you understand the laws that govern Zorn and the Warrior men as well as the hierarchy structure. I have to say Berrr's Vow is the best book in this series next to Tempting Rever. Laurann Dohner finally found her stride in this world and what she wanted to portray. From the very first page we are pulled into the Zorn World. Shanna has been kidnapped by Collis (aliens) and taken to Zorn to be sold. She has had a very hard life growing up with alcoholic parents then put into foster care where she was bullied then marring a man who abused her. Over the years she has worked hard to build her life and make chooses for herself that she will not let anyone take away her choose. Shanna has a fighters spirt and I loved that about her. From the moment Shanna was introduced I liked her. She has fire and spunk! Hyvin Berrr is leader of the Zorn world and is bounded to a Zorn women (who seams mentally unstable), but do to their weird laws he can not bound with another or unbound with Alluwn. Berrr believes humans are helpless and weak, but still he has a strong attraction to Shanna. He is a loving father and a great leader to his people. He only wants what’s best for everyone and will put their needs before his own. In Berrr’s Vow we get Berrr and Alluwn’s back ground. (Alluwn was intruded in Tempting Rever as the mother of Berrr’s children. What a piece of work she is! ) The why's to their bounding come out, as well as more in-depth information on the laws and how Berrr can bound with his human if she is strong enough to fight for what she wants. We get a birthing of the first human/Zorn child with Ral and his bounded. We see how much Berrr loves his family as well as his heart-ace that he can’t have more children of his own due to his situation. I liked how well Berrr and Shanna complemented each other both in the bedroom and out. The sexual encounters where of the charts HAWT! Shanna’s fire and how she teaches Berrr that humans are not weak and helpless was impowering. I liked meeting Vinlotti one of Berrr’s pack, friend and protector of his own zone on Zorn. Maybe Mrs. Dohner will show us more Zorn love in the future!

Her stories never fail to keep me entertained from beginning to end. The latest installment of her Zorn Warriors series, Berrr’s Vow, is no different. Berrr’s Vow has everything erotic romance fanatics crave. Aside from the obvious heat, there is also a lot of emotion and conflict. After the heroine, Shanna, is abducted from earth and taken to Zorn, she is uncertain of what awaits her. Salvation comes in the form of Hyvin Berrr, the leader of Zorn. He’s as gorgeous as he is intimidating, as strong as he is gentle. After he ensures her safety, Shanna pleads with Berrr to keep her under his care. Berrr agrees to Shanna’s request, but there is a problem. Berrr is bound to another. As I read Berrr’s Vow, I wondered how Shanna and Berrr would find happiness. They share an immediate connection, but they are not free to be together. Although their chemistry is undeniable and leads to a sexual relationship, the past continues to haunt Berrr. His vow to remain with a woman he doesn’t love means he will never be free to be with Shanna as he longs to -- as a lifelong partner who will share his home and have his children. Shanna, on the other hand, isn’t as concerned about her status so long as she can remain with Berrr. She’ a street smart girl who knows how to defend herself, and she’s not willing to let anyone come between her and the man she’s started to love. Unfortunately, when Berrr’s significant other returns, Shanna has to confront the laws of Zorn. If she’s willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, she might be able to claim to the man who has stolen her heart. However, if she fails, she could lose more than Berrr -- she could lose her life. Berrr’s Vow unfolds at a perfect pace, allowing the reader to care about Shanna and Berrr. Their banter is witty and comical, while their romps between the sheets positively sizzle. I absolutely love the world that Ms. Dohner has created. On Zorn, women are treated with the utmost respect and care. However, Zorn warriors are extremely dominant and possessive. Creating heroes you can love despite their tendencies to be possessive create a perfect balance for headstrong heroines. Fans of sci-fi romance will love Berrr’s Vow. If you haven’t met the Zorn warriors yet, now is a perfect time to do so. I can’t wait to read future works by Ms. Dohner. She has become one of my favorite sci-fi erotic romance authors.
