Now that you're all hopped up on pumpkin spice everything, it's time to think about your costume. Oh, sure . . . you can head down to Party City and plop down $39.99 for a Slutty Undecided Voter outfit - (enjoy your 15 minutes, Ken Bone!) OR, you could grab some of this - and let your imagination run wild. Jim & Tim, the Duct Tape Guys, are here with a handy guide featuring over 100 weird and wacky costume ideas. OR, you could grab some of this - and let your imagination run wild. Jim & Tim, the Duct Tape Guys, are here with a handy guide featuring over 100 weird and wacky costume ideas. They do warn that many of the costumes may not be practical - (taping a refrigerator to your back and going as a magnet) - and some may even be painful -(you didn't really need those eyebrows, did you?) - they are there to keep you amused, and inspire your own creativity. So, wrap yourself in duct tape, sticky side out, roll on a freshly mowed lawn, and go as a Chia Pet. Using the same technique on a barbershop floor will net you a nifty werewolf costume. Why not tape several pairs of scissors to your hands and go as that movie guy whose name escapes me at the moment . . . or his half brother, Howard Officesupplyhands? Most of the costumes are not especially elaborate; some take thirty seconds or less to construct. There are no detailed instructions or patterns, so good luck with that dragon costume. I would have preferred fewer costumes and more decorations. There are some spiders, bats, tombstones, and bones, and I'm guessing some of the costumes could be turned into super-cool life-sized lawn ornaments. Even if you don't make any of this stuff, it's a pretty fun book for gawking.

This is a pretty funny book--it had me laughing out loud a few times (fig leaf costumes for Adam and Eve?!) There are some usable ideas although I don't think I'll be making "duct tape cloth" any time soon.
