Lady Catherine is a noblewoman in the 1500s. Though promised to a valiant knight who has loved and served her for years, a chance meeting with a handsome merchant sends her on a whirlwind journey of passion she never knew she could experience. Jonathan makes her feel alive, but it can never be between them, for she has a duty to uphold, and there are those who will do anything to keep them apart. Eryn Rexford is a photographer, married to a wealthy and handsome businessman, and living the life most women want. But something's missing. Eryn lives a life without passion, unsure how to find it when her husband fails to connect on the level she desires. Then the dreams start, hinting at another life, another love, another man. Will the dreams destroy the life she's made, or will they hold the answer to her freedom? Though these two women are connected by their souls and reincarnation, each story is distinctly individual. Every chapter alternates between the timelines, which made it very easy to follow each story, and though they were separated by centuries, each transition felt smooth and connected. I loved the romance between Catherine and Jonathan. I don't tend to read straight romance, but a combination of something else like urban fantasy or suspense; however, I found theirs to be so sweetly developed, like a courtship. It didn't feel slow at all, but kept me going the entire time. In contrast, Eryn's story is less a romance and more about a woman struggling to do what's right for herself versus always sacrificing for other people. Though unhappy, she feels obligated to her husband, which never ends up being healthy for that person. (I could definitely relate.) I enjoyed getting to know her and her situation through the first half, but when her supposedly best friend starts complicating the situation, I began to get frustrated. Brandi and her past counterpart are horrible people. I really hated her/them, and it might be because I know someone just like that. And while I don't typically enjoy having such feelings from a book, you could also say that the fact it creates such a powerful response is a testament to the author's writing. Anyway, I really enjoyed this book. I noticed other reviews called it a "tragic romance," which I suppose is accurate. The HEA is not typical of what you would find, and actually I wouldn't call it an ending at all, but a beginning.

What an epic romance! Captivating, beautifully written, imaginative, seductive, passionate, creative and thought provoking, ‘Again’ is a story of true love. Diana Murdock has the most beautiful writing style which just sucks you into the world of her characters. For most of the story I had a certain amount of empathy for Troy but sadly a final betrayal left me disliking him as much as I do Bryce. The genius of Diana Murdock is her ability to bring a story and characters to life in such a way that it is impossible not to have a strong opinion on the cast. Essentially this story captures the importance of living a life of truth to oneself and to others. Diana has skilfully woven an important message into the thread of this book, a warning to all that to bring happiness to another person’s life, you first have to find your own happiness. I lived every second of this story and loved everything about it. If you are looking for a beautifully written romance story, laced with history and emotion, I really can’t recommend this book enough. Elizabeth Marshall

I found "Again" to be an enjoyable read. It held my interest and with the 2 stories running parallel, made it one where I couldn't put it down. Her 18th summer is coming and she will be required to chose a husband. Although she is expected to wed Galen, her lifelong friend, when she meets Johnathan, she knows that she has met the man for her. She outclasses Johnathan and marriage would be forbidden, but can that stop them? I liked both Catherine and Eryn and adored Johnathan. I found this book to be a great romance with a fascinating twist. **Parental note** Book contains some objectionable language and descriptive sex scenes.

The story is written from a perspective of two characters: Eryn Rexford, a 21st century photographer, and Lady Catherine, a 16th century noble woman. I am looking forward to the next books by this author and wish her a lot of success.

You have two women with stories running side by side, both telling their own story and what they want in life. The author gives this a smooth and even flow between the two stories. Each are not truly happy with the men they have, they want more in life, they feel something is missing. You have so many twist and turns, life, friends, family and people getting in the way. Your heart goes out to so many, you want to help and say NO that isn't true, look deeper. You have love, jealousy and betrayal all that make a truly wonderful read. This book will keep you hanging on the end of your seat, a book you will not want to put down. When you first start reading this book, you wonder is this about reincarnation? The author hints at it. One might ask what is reincarnation, this book said it is souls that it is souls that have unresolved issues.”We all have dominant traits that we need to overcome and if we don’t overcome them, we carry them over to the next life.” The author leaves you hanging wondering if this could be so. What could these two women have that their souls are connect, what unfinished business could there be? You have friends and family so jealous of you they want to hurt you, will the ladies let them or will they stand strong and go for what they want. There are so many wonderful characters, you will love and love to hate. Some you will wish to get your hands on and some you just want to hug. I would recommend this book to my friends. You have a triangle Catherine, Galen and Jonathan both love and want her. She is a lady, Galen is her equal a knight and Jonathan is beneath her standing. Who will she pick the merchant or the childhood friend? It is a love story that will break your heart; she cares for both but can only love one. Eryn is married but feels apart of her is missing, has dreams of the past and they are getting stronger. Who is this man in her dreams, why is she having these feelings? Could he be the man she is looking for, the other half of herself? If this is reincarnation where does the past fit with the future? You have so many wonderful characters you find yourself trying to place the now time people with the past ones. Which ones are which? It will blow you mind trying to work out who could be who. Are you correct you might find you are but you could also find you are wrong. This is a book you will not want to put down, you find yourself wanting to get to the end to see who will get the ladies. Will they be their soul mates? I do wish the book ended more with what happen for both ladies. It would have been nice to see how life went, if they were happy with their choices. How life played out for each of the characters in this book. This is an author I would enjoy reading more of her work.

Having never been a fan of novels that jump back and forth in time, I wasn’t too sure what to think about this novel from the synopsis. The characters that grace the pages of this novel are amazing. Each and every one of them is lifelike, even the minor characters. They are all well rounded in a way that allows to reader to connect with them. Many of the characters evoke strong emotions in the reader, be they positive or negative. The astounding imagery that Murdock employs in her writing brings her words to life without the need for long, drawn out descriptions. Both worlds were vividly real and very distinct while remaining true to the intended scenes. At times, I felt like I was walking along the cliffs with one character or jogging on the beach with another. Murdock’s way with words and writing style kept me captivated throughout this very well written novel.

Overall, this book is well worth reading and I would recommend it to anyone- even randomers in the street. This book is an ideal representation of the modern romance, and the struggle between marriage and passion. Great read. I loved the way the author wove two stories together spanning a number of centuries. The characters were stong and well-defined and the story was delightfully unique. This is a love story that paints a picture of jealousy and betrayal with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. A must read for romance readers.

From my perspective, I feel like the author had her own experience with a past life that drove the writing of this book, because she accurately depicted events similar to what I have experienced for myself and others have related to me with past life regression. The characters are developed very well and how the story is laid out for the reader, you can easily see the parallel lives the characters are living (or reliving). I especially liked how the one character simply didn't get how she was recycling her same mistakes over and over again. And finally, the effect this book had on me was profound. I was riveted and addicted to every page. The main character's research into the possibility of a past life and what was revealed to her "hit it on the head" every time. Also, how she was getting bits and pieces of her previous life in dreams and "waking dreams" (or visions) was also how people described (and I personally had experienced) gaining this insight. Very good, Diana. I look forward to your next novel.

Are people drawn to each other over and over again throughout time? I also enjoyed seeing the modern marriage of the heroine – her marriage is falling apart, she is not happy but neither her or her husband wants it to end. The dynamics are interesting to read. Additionally, there is a destructive friendship that the heroine (in the modern day portion of the story) has to work her way through – very interesting stuff. I would recommend this story for readers who enjoy modern day fiction with a dash of something added to it. It was an enjoyable and quick read but surprisingly made me think about what if and possibilities of change across time and lifetimes.

This story seems to be about how a bunch of naive people learn what's really important and who they're really supposed to spend their lives with. But I can't handle a story like that. I became so disgusted with Sara and Catherine that I just gave up on them. I really believe that they'll figure things out in the end. But I have no interest in reading about their struggle to get there because I really can't handle it. However, if you like realistic portrayals of imperfect characters and you can handle reading about their lives and mistakes, this book may be meant for you.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I was probably the wrong person to review this novel because I hate romances. This novel was something I wouldn't recommend. I found the first chapter to be unbearable! It had way too much detail about every little thing, very little dialogue, and at times I just wanted the author to get to the point already. She went on and on in details about everything. I would get lost in the details and forget what the characters were even talking about. I found AGAIN by Diana Murdock to be a wonderful romantic tale of one soul living two lives hundreds of years apart. The author has skillfully woven the story of two women searching for true love and fulfillment. The ending was really cute, but I kind of disliked most of the characters. I understand why Lady Catherine & Eryn acted the way they did, but it was still frustrating! Bryce was a jerk & Brandi was awful, ugh! I feel like that took away from the story. Also Bryce's domineering attitude made me want to gag & the fact that Eryn let him be that way drove me crazy. Of course this is why I generally don't read adult romance, it is generally ridiculous (at least what I have read so far). The ending was really cute, but I kind of disliked most of the characters. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Wonderfully romantic book. It moves from the middle ages to modern times, following a set of lovers in both eras as well as significant peripheral characters. The basic premise is that because of mistakes/choices made in past lives, sometimes a person must resolve those mistakes in a future life. (available on Kindle)

'Again' is the story of a love that transverses a lifetime - and beyond. Told from the dual perspectives of the historical Lady Catherine and the modern-day Eryn, both of whom are unhappy with the partners that society has chosen for them, 'Again' reminds the reader that when it comes to love, nothing is more important than following your heart. This story captured me quickly, and was an engaging read. The back and forth between two times and two lives could have been confusing, but it wasn't. I loved the characters, and am looking forward to reading other books by this author. This story captured me quickly, and was an engaging read. I am always a sucker for a love across time story. This one was entertaining but the characters were not as engaging as some of my favorites from other similarly themed novels.
