This book gets only 3 stars because, while it contained a lot of good and interesting information, I felt it was lacking as an illustrated history. Some of the picture choice and quality was quite low... and I read the 2010 version (I believe it said it was a FIFTH edition), and yet found 3-4 spelling mistakes in the book, as well as a picture of the Colorado Avalanche described as the Stars winning the Stanley Cup... Oh, and in the back, it lists Alex Ovechkin as a player for the Pittsburgh Pen This book gets only 3 stars because, while it contained a lot of good and interesting information, I felt it was lacking as an illustrated history. Finally, I felt that each chapter jumped around too much, which made the format of separation by decades seem somewhat silly and occasionally difficult to follow.
