The first half of the book is great and full of some decent, basic baby-care information. Then the last half assumes you don't want to have any part of your child's life and tells you how to make sure she has a great time at daycare. This work-from-home dad does not approve of that part.

This book was pretty terrible. It was completely biased towards women as the primary care giver and dad as a bystander. My favorite part of the book was in the chapter dedicated to how to 'gently' pass on tips to daddy - 'if you aren't sure what to do In a situation with baby...don't be afraid to ask mom...'. As if I know what I'm doing! That's why I'm reading this book! I will continue to look for books less gender biased. This book was pretty terrible.
