Earlier in the interview, Ted traced the beginnings of his deviancy to his experiences as a young boy of 12 or 13 with pornography. He claims that the FBI, having done studies on this sort of thing, concluded that a common thread among the vast majority of serial killers is the use of pornography. Bundy had some ominous things to say as the interview closed. Dobson: Do you deserve the punishment the state has inflicted upon you? Bundy: That's a very good question. I don't want to die; I won't kid you. I deserve, certainly, the most extreme punishment society has. And I think society deserves to be protected from me and from others like me. That's for sure. What I hope will come of our discussion is that I think society deserves to be protected from itself. As we have been talking, there are forces at loose in this country, especially this kind of violent pornography, where, on one hand, well-meaning people will condemn the behavior of a Ted Bundy while they're walking past a magazine rack full of the very kinds of things that send young kids down the road to being Ted Bundys. That's the irony. I'm talking about going beyond retribution, which is what people want with me. There is no way in the world that killing me is going to restore those beautiful children to their parents and correct and soothe the pain. But there are lots of other kids playing in the streets around the country today who are going to be dead tomorrow, and the next day, because other young people are reading and seeing the kinds of things that are available in the media today. In the 10 year period beginning when Bundy spoke those words, over 200 people were killed in school shootings. SEX TRAFFICKING Driscoll devotes the appendix to the horrors of sex trafficking. Although his examples are all overseas, it happens right here in our own backyards. If you've ever read one these stories, you know that they are truly heartbreaking. My friend recently sent me an article that describes a young woman's nightmare as she gets caught up in the Northern California Korean sex trafficking ring in an attempt to pay pack massive credit card debt.

This book covers a difficult subject to christian men: the pornography and its consequences. With a clear and direct language, pastor Driscoll urges to act like real men, understanding sexual behaviour in the biblical way.

Discredited former paster Mark Driscoll spreads fear and misinformation about pornography
Michael –
Good book. He is very straightforward and has lots of truths that young men need to know.

Mark Driscoll is not Henri Nouwen. He writes boldly, bluntly, at times abrasively. The "Porn-Again Christian" is a short work dedicated to exposing the sinfulness and dangers of pornography and masturbation among men (to whom Driscoll addresses this to). It is broadly broken down into three parts: Driscoll uses Scripture to demonstrate porn's sinfulness and to bring men to repentance, a transcript of James Dobson's interview with rapist and serial killer Ted Bundy on the eve of his execution whe Mark Driscoll is not Henri Nouwen. He writes boldly, bluntly, at times abrasively. The "Porn-Again Christian" is a short work dedicated to exposing the sinfulness and dangers of pornography and masturbation among men (to whom Driscoll addresses this to). It is broadly broken down into three parts: Driscoll uses Scripture to demonstrate porn's sinfulness and to bring men to repentance, a transcript of James Dobson's interview with rapist and serial killer Ted Bundy on the eve of his execution where the murderer reveals how prevalent pornography was in the formation of his fatal fantasies and crimes and a sobering explanation by Justin Holcomb of sex trafficking and forced prostitution in the world today. Much of what is written here can be found in Driscoll's book on marriage (co-written with his wife). For instance, Driscoll claims that a man's wife is to be the sole standard of beauty for the man (but is this found in the Bible?). He also makes the questionable claim that a spouse who does not have sex with their husband or wife is depriving them and thus sinning (although perhaps one could look for backing from 1 Cor. 7). Positively, while some Christians criticize Driscoll for discussing what sexual activities are permitted in marriage, I think Driscoll is right to do so because he acknowledges that if Christian couples do not seek advice from a pastor they will look to other sources - sources that will be more harmful. If society is asking a question, the Church needs to have a response. This might be the bucket of cold water that some men need but I would look for resources with a more pastoral touch.

I know this book is stated pretty obviously by Mark that is it is written for Males. But, with the events I was facing in my life and my friends. I needed some help on the topic. I did get some good things out of this ebook but Mark's angry approach is being to get to me after a year or two of following his preaching. But hearing angry sermons is nothing new to me growing up in Southern Baptist churches.

This is a short read and it's free online! So even if you're not a Driscoll fan and you're a male who struggles with porn it is worth reading. Driscoll aim is for the reader to catch how serious porn is and how damaging it can be. The case can be made that he attempts to scare you out of looking at porn. If it works great because porn isn't something to be messed with. He also answers common questions and debunks common myths about porn which is very eye opening and heart breaking. I agree with what Driscoll says in the beginning of the book, that it is mainly for males. I would suggest for women reading another book or porn if you struggle or if you have a friend, husband, or family member who struggles.

well, well. The title got me. And I read. More of a pamphlet than a book. Liked the Ted Bundy slippery slope, it is never an event. It is always a process. Was shocked about the Military stories at the end. Thought this was in imaginations of script writers in movies.

Doesn't take much imagination to know how Mark Driscoll will treat this topic. Indeed, he doesn't leave much to the imagination! Blunt, biblical, encouraging, scathing, helpful. Recommended, for blokes. Doesn't take much imagination to know how Mark Driscoll will treat this topic. Indeed, he doesn't leave much to the imagination! In his usual style, Driscoll gets straight to the point in this frank discussion on porn. Porn Again Christian strays from the topic of porn near the end and discusses the sex trade and prostitution in the military. It was free from ReLit and worth the two hours it took to read.
Melissa Mahoney –
Thought provoking, & wise writer!

Convicting and inspiring. Comprehensive review on the effects of porn/masturbation and how to fight it. A good short read
G. Jorge Medina –
The language used was a little too strong for my taste.
Sam –
Great book on purity. He does not mince words. Helpful theologically too.
Nicholas –
A must read for any guy!
Steve Hemmeke –
Pretty good
Emelia –
Read online for free. Was very informative.
Jon –
A little crass at times. And often in your face. I expected it, and it still caught me off guard. For someone in the thicks of an addiction to porn, this would shake them up.
Fred –
I dig books that are free, short, and very helpful! Great treatment of a very big problem in our world today!

Read it cover-to-cover in about an hour. As sincere as Pastor Mark is, I think he comes off a little too prideful. Didn't really see where he explained how a man struggling with porn could escape.
