I won this book through Goodreads First Reads and couldn't wait to dive into it. Fresh and informative, it provided some great insight to what I want and how to not make the same mistakes. I think this book will interest both women and men. I won this book through Goodreads First Reads and couldn't wait to dive into it. Everyone should read this book before they try the dating scene. Mistakes can be costly. This book explains how to choose a partner who is compatible and helps you to understand why past relationships did not work.

Although I am now married, this book is a good "tool" book for those who want to know why they pick potential mates that they do and why they work or don't work. I found it overly repetitious, quite hard to read at times. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I'm not even sure why I entered as I usually don't read this kind of books. I'm not in a relationship, but I'm not actively searching for a partner so it took me a while to pick up the book and read it. I don't completely agree with the author's theory about Matchlines. I think her idea is good, but the whole system is far more complex. But would I really have wanted to dive further into it? Actually, I think reducing it to a simple sketch is the best way I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I'm not even sure why I entered as I usually don't read this kind of books. Actually, I think reducing it to a simple sketch is the best way to make everybody understand. I've even been thinking about giving the book to a friend because the most important message in it was what I had been trying to tell her for months. Most of the examples are a bit stereotyped. While it would have been nice to read more realistic examples, they don't do any harms and at least they get the point across. I've been thinking about rating this book with two to three stars because I didn't get much out of it for my own life. However, I think that most people will and since I'm still thinking about lending it to my friend in the hopes that she'll understand, I decided to rate it with four stars. If you've always been wondering why your boy-/girlfriend pushes you away no matter how hard you try to love them, this book is for you.
