I remember reading this book (and at least 1 or maybe 2 others in the series) many years ago when I was in hospital (3 weeks in the bloody place--it was extremely boring). A friend who owned a used bookshop came to see me and dumped off 3 paper grocers bags of books on my bed, along with a pen and some notepaper. She wanted me to label the books as I read them as "keep to sell" or "donate/give away". I did read all of the books, carefully labeling each one. There were all sorts of books in the bags--everything from historical romances (this and it's sister novels) to horror to police procedurals to sci-fi and fantasy. Some of the books were good, some OK and some just plain awful. This was one of the OK ones--at least, that's what I thought of it then. I recently saw the book mentioned in a post somewhere and was able to find a copy of it and ordered it to re-read. I'm afraid that now I'm finding it boring in the extreme. Maybe because I'm not stuck in hospital bored out of my mind. :oP At any rate, I gave it 3 stars for the nostalgia factor.

A sexist dud published by Playboy in 1980, probably written by Arthur Gladstone, with virgins trying to keep virginity in 50s-movie manner while sexist &*&^%^ try to 'conquer' them. Bleak, pointless, depressing--nothing to make it feel like having sex with dudes would even be fun. Huh.
