This was actually a very good collection of Irish folktales, plain, unadorned, and straightforward but with the usual Irish dialectical "flourishes", for lack of a better word. Each tale was gathered firsthand by the author from one of five living sources; what's more, all of these sources lived in the vicinity of the author's own hometown in Ireland. I enjoyed this a lot more than Yeats' collection, for some reason. Definitely recommended.
