Cats are betraying their clans every night in their dreams and the battle between the clans and the Place With No Stars is coming closer every day. Ever since the death of the ShadowClan deputy, Ruessetfur, ThunderClan and ShadowClan have been hostile to each other; even to the point of capturing Ivypaw, a ThunderClan apprentice in exchange for life-saving herbs. Ivypaw keeps getting more jealous of her sister Dovepaw so she goes to the Dark Forest in her dreams. Tigerstar tells her that he will train her to be as great as Dovepaw so everyone will notice her and she will help her clan. It's a lie. He just wants her to join the Dark Forest (which is the same as the Place With No Stars) and fight along side them so they can take over the forest. The clans must stand alone now, even though they have relied on each other for as long as the clans have been around. Will Ivypaw still go to the Dark Forest, or can Dovepaw convince her that Tigerstar is just using her? Who will win the final battle between the Dark Forest and the Clans? I thought "Night Whisperers" was really well written and was really upset when it was over. This book had the most betrayal by far, not only between the clans, but within the clans too. There was danger on every page and it wasn't slow to get into.

It took me FOREVER to read this book, but despite that it was still a pretty good read. Most interesting was the moment where Lionblaze called Jayfeather “Jay.” Literally no cat has ever called another by the first part of their name so that was weird and I had to read over it like four times.

It was exciting and Tigerstar was an awesome bad guy. (Note that I say he was an awesome bad guy; now I don't even know what his intentions are.) Pretty much nothing got done for the entire book; all that happened was a bunch of foreshadowing and annoying prophecies. Every time the characters were warned of a big battle, I thought to myself, "Man, this battle better be good." So far, nothing in the Power of Three or Omen of the Stars has impressed me that much, but the only reason I'm still reading it is for the finale at the end. I just hope it isn't like the Breaking Dawn ending (if you read the Twilight series, you'll know what I mean). So, apart from the monotone writing and flat and repetitive plot, this book is also making no sense. The StarClan cats and Dark Forest cats are supposed to be dead... right? Well, now I've leaned that they can die again! What's the point of being dead if you can die? I was beginning to like Flametail, who is the ShadowClan medicine cat apprentice. I hoped that he would be a good character for the rest of the series, but the author killed him off in two pages of description! Oh, and TigerxDove? Enough with the forbidden love, Erin! We've all seen it before, especially in your other books. Well, this book was my least favorite out of all of the Warriors book so far. This final battle had better be good, or else I've wasted a lot of time reading about a bunch of cats who didn't end up doing anything.

This thrid book in the Warriors Omen of the stars, is the most suspensefle of them so far. It makes you question whats going on and what is happening. This is a great book about family bonds, betrayals and death, in wild cats life.

Its nice with Flametail got his own chapter, coming from a different clan. But i though Jafeather and Lionblaze had no personality at all. you can only tell when they at meeting with Dovepaw or when Lionblaze is with Cinderheart.

It feels like the Erins were really struggling to hold it together with this one - the first two thirds felt like a panic to bridge the gap between two major story arcs, and it only really got going nearing page 200 or so. When it's all rounded up though, there are things I just dont understand Spoilers but I was honestly surprised at the first ever inclusion of multi-clan point of view. It never really seemed to fit having this mini Flametail arc - surely using Dovepaws powers to see what was happening in shadow clan would have made more sense? And now hes just dead lol like what was this for,,, erins really struggled to fill this book The only purpose of having Dovepaw and Tigerheart in a relationship was for the herb issue, forbidden romance is OLD and BORING. Let's have some forbidden friendships instead !!!! That's far more high stakes. Forbidden friendships have much more of a future. But what forced me to drop the rating was that Graystripe has been completely disregarded as his own character. He left his CLAN for his firstborns, but when Briarlight is permanently crippled he's barely there ???? Millie is fighting for her alone??? What happened to the charismatic, loyal family man we knew and loved from earlier series? I get that he's to be treated as a background character now, but he barely has anymore presence than like,,, foxleap or mousewhisker. Hes fodder for bulking up patrols and I dont like it. I hope that the enjoyment I got out of the last third of this book continues into the rest of the series.

Im just realizing how good this series could have been if the authors took more time to think things through. It can delve into very controversial topics some times too, and present them in a GOOD manner that doesn't feel out of the blue. And the pain that comes with being a parent of someone who becomes disabled in a tragic accident as well as the questions of faith that come along with it. As for the actual over arching plot... It started off good, and has good moments, but again and again there's either contradictions, inconsistencies in character attitude towards things or other characters, too much one sidedness in some arguments, even when another character has a point*, or plot holes, or it feels like things are being made up on the fly. *I dont mind a character winning an argument, even if I disagree with them, but sometimes a character doesn't win by force of argument but rather just guilt tripping the other character and making them seem like a horrible person/cat. Also, it's unfortunate but I think the OotS series suffers from a lot of 'telling not showing' but then again I get that the authors wouldn't want someone brand new to the series to be confused, but it wouldn't matter anyways because if they picked up a book this late in the series they would already be confused. Also... why is Tigerheart this idealized bad boy? Im more repelled by him than anything.

I love how the warrior books are written. In most books a good first part of the book is a recap on what has happened throughout the rest of the series. That is something that annoys me about the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series. They all start out in recap mode. And those books aren't thick, so it's a sham when all of that space is wasted. I enjoyed this book, for the most part, but I am getting a little bored with the whole sneaking out to visit a different clan cat during the night.... And I also think that Starclan is wrong about their new Prophecy. But, who knows what the authors have in store for the final battle. I can't wait until the next book comes out. She's frustrated that her sister receives so much attention, and for once, wants to be the special one, not just "Dovepaw's sister". Will Ivypaw take the side of the Dark Forest or the Clans when the battle happens? This book was really good! There was a lot of conflict between the Clans, the medicine cats, and within ThunderClan itself. I felt myself being sucked into the world. It was as if I was actually experiencing everything that was going on. The ending left me hanging, and I wanted to read the next book immediately.

Another quick read, I don’t know why but I just can’t stop reading these books even though they not my level, cheesy, and kind of childish. I think that’s what also makes them so good.
