This book is a great overview of super-heroes in British comics. About the only one here that any American might recognize is Marvelman, the replacement for Captain Marvel (Shazam) after Fawcett gave up the super-hero publishing ghost. These are the height of obscure heroes, some appearing in only one weekly comic once. But it gives a person an interesting look at the British comic book industry.
