I've read a lot of CBT books during the last eighteen months and honestly, this one has to be the best so far. It's written in an open and friendly manner which makes it feel accessible and less daunting a task to read through it, and packed with useful information and helpful exercises. To me it really did feel like having a professional CBT practitioner in a book. The contents by chapter are as follows: 1. So what's so brilliant about CBT? 2. First principles 3. If you have already experienced the practices the book doesn't make you feel like you've 'heard it all before', as there are plenty of strategies and exercises to complete with a wealth of case study examples to help you tackle your own problems. Brilliant Cognitive Behavioural Therapy really is a book you can judge by it's cover. It's cognitive behavioural therapy that is, simply, brilliant.

"(...) to nastawienie mentalne człowieka determinuje sposób, w jaki doświadcza on świata." CBT is a good way to clear up the way you think about yourself. It is like selecting the background music to a movie - it sets the whole tone of how actions are interpreted.

It was interesting to explore concepts that Id previously only experiences on a surface level. It was insightful along side councelling for me.
