Blue Bloods I really liked this book. Wow I can't believe this how the series started. I skipped this book mostly because I didn't have it yet. I really love the series. These kids are crazy. Too bad Cordelia has to die. I like how the journal entries appear every so often. I like how the author doesn't go too far into girl world leaving vampire world behind. I really like the ideas in the book. It is very different. I like it a lot better than the Twilight series. I like how there isn't any damn Blue Bloods I really liked this book. I like how the journal entries appear every so often. I like how the author doesn't go too far into girl world leaving vampire world behind. I really like the ideas in the book. It is very different. I like it a lot better than the Twilight series. I like how there isn't any damnzals in distress. Bella seemed so helpless. All the women in this series can very well protect herself. I don't like Jack Force. It seems to have too much of a wondering eye. He needs to be slapped. So does Mimi. I'm not too fond of her. Masquerade I really enjoyed reading this book. At first the articles on the side didn't make sense and then I finally understood them. Melissa De la Cruz version of how vampires is interesting and good. I don't like how Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force have these secrets. Mimi Force I don't like so much. I feel kind of skeptical because she lives in this book. Jack Force and Mimi Force are two very different people, but are somehow attracted to each other. I liked how Schuyler's grandfather changed his mind and decided to take care of her. He wants to find the Silver Bloods. The Silver Bloods are not really known until the end. The many points of view is very interesting. It is told by Schuyler, Bliss, and Mimi. Mimi doesn't really appeal to me. Something about her makes me not want to trust her. She is self-centered and only cares about living of life of luxury. Jack wonders too much which test his and Mimi's infidelity. I didn't like how the chapters end in cliff-hangers. The ending ended with a cliffhanger. I couldn't stop reading this book, because it was so good. I don't like many things about Mimi. She just cares about herself and money. I just don't see how she is a blue blood. She seems a lot like a silver blood. She's a very dangerous vampire. She's very rude most of the time. She tries to call silver bloods up to get Schuyler. One thing I don't like about Schuyler is how she keeps trying to take Jack from Mimi. Jack and Mimi belong together. Jack being with her can bring many bad things like what perhaps happened to her mother who is in a coma. There might be more to Bliss than you think. At first she's Mimi follower, but then invites Mimi to her secret party. Mimi also wines and complains about how she wants to go straight to the bonding ceremony already. It seems so strange why the conclave wants Mimi and Jack blue bloods and not just leave them dead. The author through a hint that Jack and Mimi became traitors to them and later joined them and defeated Lucifer which tends to worry me. I would like to know why Allegra Van Alen broke her bond between Charles Force. She seems to screw around a lot, because Bliss finds a picture of her and her father Forysth. Masquerade written by Melissa de La Cruz, in 2007, gives an exciting fantasy adventures that sucks vampire lovers and fantasy lovers in. This novel what was written for young adults and teenagers. This novel about two opposing vampire forces. Many problems our addressed throughout the novel. This book has some dark aspects to it. Schuyler is a half-blood who travels to Italy looking for her grandfather Lawrence. Her grandmother Cordelia was attacked by a Silver Blood. Cordelia tells Schuyler that Lawrence can help her stop the Silver Bloods. Mimi and Jack Force are planning a masquerade where the danger lurks. This book is modern fantasy because the events are outside the realm of possibility. You will never find a vampire. This story can not occur in real life, but even though the events can not happen. I really liked that the novel had a lot of suspense and intrigue. The novel is told from third person. Three vampires give their own account of the their life. Some parts of each character are left out to make it more mysterious. The author hides some aspects of the character to not give away the story. Schuyler, Bliss, and Mimi are the three vampires you hear their point of views. Schuyler is protagonist, Mimi is the antagonist, and Bliss is Schuyler’s best friend or is she? I don’t like Mimi very much, because she is rude, arrogant and selfish. Mimi tends to self- indulge in herself all the time. Mimi cares mostly about fashion and popularity. She loves to spend gobs of money. Schuyler on the other hand, has a great attitude. Schuyler is more plain. She typically wears old clothes, and doesn’t spend a lot of money, of which she has. She is very determined. However, I don’t like how she toys with Jack’s emotion. That is a dangerous relationship. If Schuyler breaks the bond between Jack and Mimi, than that causes serious trouble. Alegra Van Alen, Schuyler’s mother, broke her bond between Charles, which leaves her in coma since Schuyler’s birth. Throughout the novel, the author put articles and accounts on Maggie Stanford. I like the idea that attacked Blue Bloods become corrupted, or if they aren’t drained by Silver Bloods live on to the next cycle without being corrupted. I think it was rude that Mimi didn’t tell who was invited to the masquerade until the Four Hundred Year Ball. I thought that to be so cruel. The relationship between Bliss and Schuyler changes by the end of the novel. Bliss seems a little odd to me, because she does not remember specific events. You don’t get the whole inside to her. I found the novel to be very interesting and fun. I really want to read the prequels and sequels to the novel. I must read the first book in the series to see what happens until Masquerade. I recommend this book to fantasy lovers, vampire lovers, and people just looking for a great novel. Revelations This another great book written by Melissa de la Cruz. This one has more excitement in it. There are many interesting turns in the book that you wouldn't expect. Some of vampires in the book identities are revealed. It becomes a mystery when Charles Forces sword was stolen from his office. For a while you wonder who Maggie Stanford is. You wonder why do they talk about her at the end of the chapters? At the end of the book you understand why Maggie Stanford is even mentioned. You see Mimi change a lot in this book. She doesn't seem quite so much as the crazy girl she is in the previous books. Schuyler starts seeing Jack secretly. I dislike this so much. She should leave him alone, because he belongs to Mimi. Breaking the bond from her would have terrible consequences. Mimi and Jack fight over the bonding issue. At first you think it will be until the death of one. The fight is very brutal. Mimi thinks Jack will kill her, but then he stops, because he realizes he still loves her. Jack explains to Mimi, how sorry he is that he wanted to be bonded with Schuyler. It was cool that the bond wasn't going to be broken. Schuyler realizes that she has fallen in love with her conduit Oliver. In the first book she marked him as her own. He would love her and just her and nobody else. She performed the Sacred Kiss mixing her blood with his. The book has some depressing stuff to it. You find out who betrayed the Blue Bloods and hid the Silver Bloods existence. The Liviathan is free causing my trouble to come. Lawrence dies and the conclave thinks Schuyler killed him. You start to see the ugly side of Bliss. You start knowing her true identity. I never thought she was the Silver Blood. She was corrupted during last cycle as Maggie Stanford. The author hides some of what Bliss wants and thinks so you have no idea who Bliss really is. Until the very end she pretends to be an angel, and then she turns the silver blood she is.

I was a teenager when I read this trilogy. I loved it when I read it, and I would recommend this series for young girls Who are just getting into fantasy. It’s a cute story, that’s fun at times, but also hits somewhat deeper topics. I’ll never read it again, but I did enjoy it when I was younger.

Blue Bloods revolve around fallen angels (again, supernatural). I am infinitely fascinated by angels, they're mysterious supernatural beings, each with their own interesting story that keeps my wanting to know more. When I found out about Blue Bloods, I was so interested I couldn't wait to finish the book I was reading prior to it. When I first began reading, I thought the story wouldn't really interest me much. But then when I started to get the feel of the story plot, I couldn't stop. I read b Blue Bloods revolve around fallen angels (again, supernatural). But then when I started to get the feel of the story plot, I couldn't stop. I read books 1-4 in 3 days (hooked-much eh?!). I love the Schuylar and Jack love story, Mimi's persistence, Blythe's will to push forth with her quest to find her purpose, Gabrielle's heart -as a mother, a sister, and a warrior. I admired Oliver's love for Schuylar as well, he supported Schuylar throughout. Even though Schuylar only thought of him as a friend, he still gave his all to her without asking for anything in return. Jack, bonded to Mimi in every cycle, still he defied his path and chose to follow his heart. He loved Gabrielle, but in this cycle, he fell for Gabrielle's daughter, Schuylar - an anomaly amongst the fallen. Their story has yet to conclude, I'm very much interested to see the outcome. Some areas may seem confusing, if you hit a curb, read Keys to the Repository for some background info. I liked it, very interesting to me. Definitely worth a read.

I bought this trilogy as I have seen it promoted in one of the Filipino cultural event in Amsterdam by another Filipino author, Angelica Hopes. Blue Bloods trilogy has little to do with vampires in its book #1, as the first one hundred pages had no mentions of vampire. May be I was expecting vampire books written by James Malcolm Rymer or Sheridan le Fanu or Rachel Klein when I bought this trilogy. It is like a hybrid of Gossip Girl and vampire series but I don't mind as it kept me entertained.
