Rick Joyner says, "We have tended to over-focus on the end of the age-the end times. But this is not just the end, it's the beginning of a new age when Christ will rule over the earth! For the church to reclaim the high ground of hope for the future, we must begin to proclaim the beginning, the coming of the kingdom." In A Prophetic Vision for the 21st Century , Joyner Rick Joyner says, "We have tended to over-focus on the end of the age-the end times. In A Prophetic Vision for the 21st Century , Joyner discusses why revival tarries for America, what it means to be delivered from the Mark of the Beast, the rise and fall of America, the greatest awakening, a famine in the land, and practical ways to serve in the latter days. It includes encouragement for weary church leaders as well as the second part of The Hordes of Hell are Marching, illustrating the unified church rising as an army in the most pivotal battle of all time between the light and darkness.

The ''Prophetic Vision For The 21st Century'' is a vision of the future. It is also a call, a manual, and a strategy for mobilizing the most powerful army that has ever marched upon the earth - THE ARMY OF GOD. The Author, Rick Joyner reveals unto us how we can use the divinely powerful weapons at our disposal as children of God to confront the great darkness that is now sweeping the earth. He also give strategy for how we can begin to demonstrate the power of the Kingdom that is coming. In the book The ''Prophetic Vision For The 21st Century'' is a vision of the future. The Author, Rick Joyner reveals unto us how we can use the divinely powerful weapons at our disposal as children of God to confront the great darkness that is now sweeping the earth. He also give strategy for how we can begin to demonstrate the power of the Kingdom that is coming. In the book you will find sound teaching on: a) How to distinguish the voice of God from other voices in the world. b) How to know God's calling for your life. c) How to defeat the enemy of your soul. d) How you can be a part of the revival that is sweeping the earth. e) How to serve ABBA FATHER effectively in a perilous time we are in. LESSON LEARNT Every great achiever had these five (5) outstanding traits in them: 1) They had a clear vision of their purpose. 2) They stayed focused on their goal(s). 3) They had the wisdom and resolve to gather the vital resources or training to accomplish their purpose. 4) They did not associate with ''problem-oriented people'' but with ''solution-oriented people.'' 5) They refused to let obstacles or opposition stop them; they stayed resolutely on the course to fulfilling their purpose, regardless of setbacks and disappointments. I also learnt that prophets are called to see for the body of Jesus Christ. Because of this the enemy usually concentrates his attack on them through their eyes. Therefore, pornography or other forms of lust are serious traps. If prophets are going to function as the eye of the body, they must be careful in how they use their eyes - Job 31:1 (AMPLIFIED VERSION), ''I DICTATED a covenant (an agreement) to my eyes; how then could I look (lustfully) upon a girl?'' If a prophet's eye is on the LORD, his whole body will be full of light. If a prophet is dominated by lust or other sin, darkness will enter his soul. Same goes to a prophetess. Deception will be the product of the darkness. Some books are to be tested, others to be swallowed, and a few to be chewed and digested. Verily, ''A Prophetic Vision For The 21st Century'' is a book to be tested, chewed, swallowed and digested. Shalom!!!

The most helpful section was the brief address of idealism. “Idealism tries to impose standards on others that are beyond what God has required or has grace for. For example … it may condemn anyone who is not praying two hours a day.” I have been in Christian circles where pseudo-Christian perfection is expressed as either pride or guilt. “The religious spirit seeks to have us serve the Lord to gain His approval, rather than knowing that our approval comes through the cross of Jesus.” Perfectionism The most helpful section was the brief address of idealism. “Idealism tries to impose standards on others that are beyond what God has required or has grace for. This develops into extremes as it requires that everyone and every teaching be judged as either 100% right or 100% wrong. Perfect obedience and understanding should aways be our goals, but they will never be found within ourselves. I'm currently reading this book on my breaks at work. Being in the military and reading a spiritual battle plan is an interesting concept. I'll update when I've finished the book.
