This is a very interesting book written for those who are puzzled about the recent precieved conflict between Islam and the West. It begins with 9/11 and the ordinary Muslim reaction. The next chapters takes us back in time to the birth of Mohammad. From there, Islam's basic believes and tenents are presented and some of its major philosophies are compared to western democracy. It explores the major events that led to the decline of the most advanced civilizationof its time.
