After Lucifer's 3 sons failed to accomplice his missions, it's the turn of his daughters to have a chance at taking over the throne of hell. First is Lucia (by Julie Kenner), an assassin whose task is to kill the father of the man she loves. Will she do it or will she succumb to love like her brothers did? Her story was interesting and I she had a great journey for a short story. Hers is the second best story in the anthology. I liked her a lot and I believed that she fell for Dante. Dante was also a good hero, but Lucia outshined him. (4 out of 5 stars for this story) Next is Jezebel (by Dee Davis). She has the least memorable story which is a shame because Dee Davis's story was the best novella in Seducing sin (the first anthology about the brothers). I was expecting something as exciting as Marcus's story was, but unfortunately, I didn't like it.I wasn't a big fan of the characters. I couldn't fall for them and their story. The will be forgotten as soon as I start another book. (rating 2 out of 5 stars) A tiny spoiler follows. Honestly, if you have read all the stories so far you know how this will end. And the final child of Lucifer is Lola (by Kathleen O'Reilly), a seductress who steals souls from their owners. Her task was supposed to be simple, seduce Crash and take his soul. Crash ain't his real name, but it fits him since he seems to be the center of some very bad situations. Anyways, Lola fell for him, but she did end up completing her task when Crash offers his soul to the devil. The reason why I am giving 5 stars to this story is Lola. She developted the most out of the 6 siblings and she got over her hung ups in order to save Crash and his soul. I have a question though. Since we got the reigns of hell, couldn't she just give Crash his soul back? I did like her sacrifice. She had spent all her life with men admiring her and doing crazy things for her and that fed her ego over the eons. She had to give that all up and something a lot more important to help Crash and this is the reason why she is my favorite. (5 out of 5 stars) The one thing that bothers me is that the siblings have 0 contact with each other (heck some of them don't even like each other) and once each story ended, we never got to see the characters again. I wanted to know what happened to them. Now they are adjusting to the mortal life. I hope the authors plan to release another book or anthology because the end was a cliffhanger and it would be a shame if the stories of this world ended just like that. Someone has to take over Lucifers place.

A test if you will… The Stories Julie Kenner's "Lucia's Story" is the best of the three. Lucia is the Devil's oldest child, and she is tired of this endless life. She's tired of no meaning in her life. I was rather tired of the lack of true passion and no build up. Dee Davis' "Jezebel's Story" is cute. Poor Jezebel is suffering from a broken heart and now she has to work with the man who broke it to find this damned Box. Kathleen O'Reilly's "Lola's Story" is the lamest of the three. Lola is Vanity with the ability to have any man. And by morning, he has no soul while she remains wrinkle-free. And she's tired of never waking up to a soul-full man. I do like the concept of Crash St. Clair. I just wish O'Reilly had given us some idea of why his life was so great…??? The Cover and Title The cover is less promising than the title but more promising than the actual stories. The lower half of a red leather mini-skirted Jezebel leans against a pillar, a knee cocked with one red Manolo-clad foot propped against the pillar's base. I guess that the title refers to the fact that all three ladies are beautiful and the Devil's daughters??? That's about as close to Hell as we really came.

What a fabulously fun and entertaining collection of romances. So, what happens when the Devil, Lucifer, decides to retire? He needs to pass on his kingdom to one of his daughters. Lucia by Julie Kenner: Lucia is strong and confident. She is an expert at her job, assassin, but she is feeling a disconnect with her work. When her dad, Lucifer, offers her a chance to take over his job, she jumps at the chance to take on this last mission. As she is doing reconnaissance, she meets Dante at the bar. What starts out as a one-night, no names, mind blowing sexual encounter turns into wanting to spend as much time as she can with Dante. Will she forget the task at hand? Dante has been summoned by his father but with him not around, is ready to return home then this incredible woman walks into the bar. When his father reveals someone is trying to kill him, he decides to stay and builds a connection with Lucia. What happens when who she is trying to kill is actually Dante’s father? Jezebel by Dee Davis: Jessie is the middle daughter and has a knack for acquiring things. Lucifer sets her on a mission to find ‘the Protector’ but she knows this will mean she has to find David, the man that broke her heart. David has been trying to find the Protector for years after his brother is killed in search of this relic. He is surprised when Jessie seeks him out and even more shocked to learn she wants to find the same item. They agree to work together since he wants revenge on the person who has the relic and she needs the item. As they both try to resist each other, well, their will power fails. I loved the adventure in this story, it gave me an Indiana Jones feel as they went on their quest. Lola by Kathleen O’Reilly: Lola’s story was unexpected for me. Out of all of Satan’s kids, Lola’s skill has a direct connect to her appearance which feeds her vanity. To stay looking beautiful, she has to suck souls which she does through sex. Lucifer sets her task to take a soul from Christopher St. Clair, aka Crash. Now Crash sees his world as cursed. Wherever he goes, whoever he meets, something bad always happens. He is on an island trying to find a way to remove this curse, he can’t handle the pain he feels for all these things. It would seem Lola could be his solution but Lola finds herself captivated with how she feels around Crash. This is something she’s never felt before. This is a very tangled web for both Lola and Crash which made for a very captivating story about their journey. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Tempting Fate is three short works featuring J. Kenner, Dee Davis and Kathleen O'Reilly. The devil wants to retire and he gives each of his immortal daughters a challenge to complete in order to inherit his kingdom. Lucia (by J. Her challenge is to assassinate a casino magnate which should be easy for her, until she realizes that her target is the father of the man who has inexplicably captured her heart. A nameless one night stand between Dante and Lucia turns into much more and I enjoyed how much romancing was put into their relationship. The emotion that Dante shows when he discovers that Lucia is the assassin sent for his father is well done and his struggle through it to realize her love for him makes their connection that much deeper. Jezebel (by Dee Davis) is the middle daughter and is a master at finding things, whether is the location of an object or the password to a security system. Her task is to steal a box, the Protector of Armageddon, the only problem is that one of the only men she has ever felt for in her immortal life, David Bishop, is after the box in order to avenge his brother's death. When they agree to work together a few strings free passionate encounters turn into more. Like many of her siblings Jezebel is worried that David will reject her if he discovers her heritage. They love that creeps back in makes their passion something more. I liked that for Jezebel, David actually sees evidence of her immortality and is able to accept what she is in a different reveal than the other stories. Lola (by Kathleen O'Reilly) is stunningly beautiful, but her power/curse steals the soul of anyone she makes love to. Chris/Crash is a walking disaster but uniquely able to help others. Lola's task is to steal his soul. I liked that Lola had trouble seducing him, every other guy on the beach was all over her, but his worries about the disasters that follow him allow him to be unaffected by her power. In many ways their story was the most real, the sacrifices they each made for each other. Overall Tempting Fate wove three more intriguing and unique stories into the devil's quest to retire and made each story interesting, fun and passionate. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free from in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

What a great follow up to Seducing Sin!!! Co-authored by Julie Kenner, Dee Davis, and Kathleen O'Reilly, we find the Devil frustrated at the failures of his sons in completing the task given them in exchange for taking over his empire. Now, looking to his daughters, Lucia, Jezebel (Jessie) and Lola, to take the reigns so he can retire, he finds it no less disappointing. The Devil starts with Lucia. In her story, written by Julie Kenner, we find her tiring of her job as an assassin for her father. What a great follow up to Seducing Sin!!! In her story, written by Julie Kenner, we find her tiring of her job as an assassin for her father. She's good at it, but she's losing her edge. Missing opportunities to complete the job. She wants out. Her father tells her, if she completes one more job for him, his empire is hers. Determined to do it and leave this life behind her, she sets out to find her target. But, what happens when she finds her attention divided between the task at hand, and the handsome Dante? When his connection to her target is revealed, can she keep her eye on her heart's ultimate goal? Does she even know what that is anymore? In Jezebel's story, written by Dee Davis, we find Jessie bored with the same life day in day out. It's been centuries and she needs a change. Her father gives her the task of locating an artifact that, if opened, could bring about the end of days. Her special talent of being able to visualize the location of items doesn't work with this artifact. There's only one person that can help her - David. But, they have a past. A painful one. Can they work together and focus only on finding the box? When they find their lives in danger and she has to make a choice, what or who will it be? Finally, we have Lola's story, written by Kathleen O'Reilly. Lola has it all. Perfect looks. Men throwing themselves at her feet. Anything her heart desires. But it all comes at a price. The souls of the men she beds. When her father offers her an out, take one last soul and his empire is hers, she jumps at the chance. But trying to seduce Chris "Crash" St. Clair is no easy feat. He's not falling prey to her perfection and her seductive ways. In fact, it seem to be the opposite. He's distant but alluring. Disaster follows him everywhere except when he's with her. But, he can't stay away for long. When emotions override the task at hand, will she be able to do what's been asked of her? Facing a choice will she take what her father has offered her, or give it all up, including herself? I've enjoyed this series! I only hope there is more!!

The problem is she is tired of her life and looking for a way out so when her father comes calling with his offer, she jumps at it. Her task is to take out a business rival. Sounds simple enough but all bets are off when she falls in love with her target’s son. Will she take out her mark or not? Dee Davis is up next with “Jezebel,”who calls herself Jessie, is the middle child with an art for being able to gather information. She is tasked with retrieving an ancient religious artifact, The Protector of Armageddon. In order to accomplish this mission, she enlists the aid of David her one time long lost lover. He is also looking for the item to avenge his brother’s death. In order to speed things up, Jessie’s brother Marcus sends his friend Faust who knows where to locate the item. A plan is hatched to acquire the item but it is fraught with challenges. Can Jessie and David work together to obtain the relic or will their shared past impede their abilities? Kathleen O’Reilly completes the story with “Lola” the youngest daughter. Lola has a need to be the center of attention and has been for many years. However when her father arrives to persuade her to go on a quest for him, she blows him off as she does not want his kingdom. However she does want eternal beauty without the strings so she agrees to his offer of acquiring a soul. Christopher “Crash” St. Clair is Lola’s mark. He has come to the islands to find Mama Leone, a gypsy, who would explain why he and his family have been cursed. When Lola and Crash first encounter one another, she feels as if he can see through her and yet he blows her off. Not one who is prone to rejection Lola resorts to any measure to attract his attention and finally gets it but she is warned away. Throwing caution to the wind they both take a chance and realize something is different. Overall the authors have created three strong women not afraid to go after what they want while showing their vulnerable sides and getting what they truly desire. I volunteered to read an arc for a review.

The sequel to Seducing Sin, the Devil now approaches his three daughters (Lucia, Jezebel, and Lola)each with a quest to gain the keys to his kingdom. Lucia by Julie Kenner - Lucia has more of a special skill set than powers when compared to her siblings. She is the female counter point to Jack, the Devil's right hand woman. Her quest is to take out her father's competition, only she falls in love with her target's son. The flow was great, full of sweet tender moments, steamy sexy times. This was my favorite story in this book. Definitely think Lucia is the Devil's favorite child. Jezebel by Dee Davis - This story involves a supporting character (Faust) cross over from Marcus from Seducing Sin. Marcus and Jezebel (Jessie) seem to have a similar power, but whereas Marcus collects items, Jessie collects information. This was really similar to Marcus's story, Jessie also works with someone from her past and her quest involves going after an item. Once again great flow, steamy scenes, action and adventure. Jessie makes the biggest sacrifice out of all the siblings. The only thing I didn't like was when it came to Faust, we still don't know what makes him immortal. The author deviated from a general theme of when each sibling lost their mother, the Devil came to claim them, but Jessie was different. Lola by Kathleen O'Reilly - Just as in Jack in Seducing Sin, I didn't like the flow of this story. It wasn't choppy like Jack, it felt too rushed and once again there are continuity issues. Lola appears to be Nick's counterpart with a similar power, the ability to steal souls, just in a different way. This author also deviated from a general theme of all the siblings being immortal; yes, Lola is immortal, but she has to steal souls to maintain her youthful appearance. I like the general idea behind the story, I just feel like it could have been executed a little cleaner and smoother.

The follow up to Seducing Sin and another hot and steamy read by three fabulous authors! Lucia and Dante meet while Lucia is waiting for her target to appear and have instant sizzling chemistry and a deep connection. I loved these two and especially loved the scene when Dante took Lucia out to dinner. No spoilers, you'll see why when you read the story! Lucia, like her brothers, fails her task, but gains so much more! My only complaint is I really wanted more of their story! Loved these two and loved that Lucia gained information from her father to help Dante solve his kidnapping case. Jezebel by Dee Davis - Jessie, the middle sister, is great at gathering information and her father's task for her, after Lucia's failure, reunites her with an old flame. David is full of guilt over his brother's death and is determined to find his killer. Jessie and David work together so they both can obtain their goal. This leads them on a suspenseful adventure full of twists and turns and hot and steamy nights together. Absolutely loved the ending to this story and that they were both willing to sacrifice everything for the other. Lola by Kathleen O'Reilly - Lola, the youngest sister, is stunningly beautiful and can have any man she wants. Her father's task is for her to take something from someone and so Lola meets Crash. I have to say I fell in love with Crash. A guy who seems to cause disasters wherever he goes, but does everything he can to fix them. A man with a truly good heart and a desire to help people. Lola and Crash fall hard for each other and both are willing to give up so much for each other. Totally loved these two and the changes falling in love with Crash made to Lola. A great read! Three fantastic stories you will love from the first page to the last!

Received an ARC for an honest review. Another fun read by these three authors! While I don't know if this one quite appealed to me as much as Seducing Sin did, it was still great to see the Devil and his daughters. Which brings me to Lola... Lola by Kathleen O'Reilly - Another soul that daddy dearest wants gone, but unlike her half-brother, Lola has to sleep with the guy to get his soul. Enter Crash/Chris, who's actually a great guy, just burdened by this pesky curse of terrible things. This one was probably the one that left me the most wanting because we never really find out about the curse. Overall, a fun read where the girls are bad and the guys are trying to catch up.

Sometimes, I’m in the mood for a long and drawn out story and other times, I just to read something that’s quick and easy. This was one of the quick and easy ones. I wanted to read this, mainly because I love J Kenner but it’s also a great way to read other authors. This book is about three daughters of the devil who find out that what they think will make them happy isn’t really what they want in the long term. I liked Lucia’s story even though I had a hard time with her “specialty”, but due to Sometimes, I’m in the mood for a long and drawn out story and other times, I just to read something that’s quick and easy. I enjoyed reading the dialogue between all of the characters.

Tempting Fate will take you on three adventures by devil's hand. Descriptive writing and clever storytelling made this an outstanding read. Julie Kenner, Dee Davis and Kathleen O'Reilly created stories that were captivating and funny. The underlying theme of taking over hell was captured in each story, along with challenging exploits that tempted each of Lucifer's daughters. But will the obstacles to win their father's love and kingdom be too much or too little. A great read. Tempting Fate will take you on three adventures by devil's hand. J. Kenner, Kathleen O’Reilly and Dee Davis have given us an anthology unlike anything you have read before. In these books, the devil has decided to retire and needs one of his daughters to take over since his sons have failed him, but will he have any better luck with his daughters? This book was even more of a pleasure than the first one, these girls are something else and a blast to read! I highly recommend that you get started now!!

I thought this was fun and cleverly written. Satan's daughters have to prove they can take over the family business. Instead, they may find something far better and fall in love. All three stories were great and hooked me in. I thought this was fun and cleverly written. Satan's daughters have to prove they can take over the family business. The Devil doesn't deserve to be associated with this travesty. Repetitive, strong on gender roles, and generally uninspiring...but it did have a few great moments: 1) "Lucia's Story" (Julie Kerner) - Incidentally addresses the topic of how the Devil's daughter swears. Does she take the Lord's name in vain? Her father's? Mostly, our protagonist seems to like Hades! as an expletive, but doesn't discuss whether she's met him. 2) "Jezebel's Story" (Kathleen O'Reilly) - Can an immortal live with her mor The Devil doesn't deserve to be associated with this travesty. This becomes a moot point when she's mortal-ified. Also, no one does that particular theme better than Highlander fans who adore the RoG. 3) "Lola's Story" (Dee Davis) - What can you consider "sex" or "making love"? Vaginal, anal, oral, kissing? Our heroine assumes that "making love" must necessarily include vaginal penetration, and I would've liked to see how she reached this conclusion.

Reading alongside another book which is a bit too bleak at times. Unfortunately this did not really provide the comic relief I was hoping for. It's a sort of anthology - three authors writing about three different daughters of the devil who find love rather than keep their pact with dad. The idea is cute, but with the exception of the last story by Kathleen O'Reilly, I found the stories fairly uninspired to boring, I'm afraid. I had read something by O'Reilly in another collection and remember appreciating her writing then. Unfortunately her contribution doesn't even make up one third of the book as it's one of the shorter stories (or maybe it only felt that way because finally I was engaged). There is a bit of a cliff-hanger at the end, and I confess I wish I knew what the next one would be... but I think not enough to sign up for another ring for it.

I thought it would make sense that the daughters of Lucifer would be evil and relentless. But no, love is on their mind, after hundreds of years Lucifer basically finds them husbands. Ultimately, I like how the book is written and the sex scenes were detailed in a very perceptible way.
