Character focused plot and HUGE character development? Thank you light novel gods. Listen, I absolutely adore Harvey's personality, the sheer aloofness he conveys - It really shows that he spent 80+ years walking the planet without actually living per se - he's knowledgeable and resourceful, but also completely socially inept and utterly useless when It comes to basic skills involved with living in an organized society. It's great and concerning and addressed reeeally well. I feel like Kieli matu Character focused plot and HUGE character development? Thank you light novel gods. She's more used to Harvey and doesn't bend to his every little whim, with is a nice balance since he's used to be so set in his ways. It's clear that these charas and this world were built with a lot of thought put into it and It shows in the small details. I look forward to keeping up with the series.

Overall, it was boring! The author had a start and an ending, but the way he connected the two was just bland and uninteresting... with an exception which is the typewriter story. I think this story concludes the first arc, and I really hope the characters grow and develop because this third volume was stretching my patience for idiots too far! Here's hoping that volume 4 is considerably better than this one! Overall, it was boring! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Yukako Kabei you did an amazing job with this book! With a lot of twists and turns and an unexpected ending, I just couldn’t believe it! The art is beautiful well done and right when you open the book you see how splendid fantastic they are in color. ( one question I could not find, how could they have breathed?) I really like Corporal character in this story, I don’t know, maybe I have a thing for possessed radios. Who knows? I love how he is always trying to defend for Kieli to Harvey, maybe evening teasing Harvey a little bit and get’s all pissed off at Harvey when he is unemotional. I was very surprised what that Harvey and Corporeal went all out on each other, almost ruining the apartment building! I liked how the author put tiny details in it to make it stand out more, it was very well done. There was a piece of writing that I liked very much, when he puts and image in my head seeing everything that was happening in black and white until BAM! My least favorite character was Beatrix, she seemed cruel and rather rude but when I read more about her I felt a hint of pity and a little bit of warmth going towards her. I read on this website: http://www.yenpress.com/kieli/ about the next story: It’s been a year and a half since Harvey left Kieli and the Corporal in Beatrix’s care. Though she hasn’t heard a word from him in all that time, Kieli can’t forget the Undying who took her under his wing. When Beatrix receives a cryptic note from Harvey indicating that he’s discovered information about Kieli’s mother, Kieli abandons the Corporal and Beatrix in an effort to track Harvey down, but the passing of time has not been kind to the Undying. Will Harvey and Kieli have a second chance at a life together, or is this the end of their story? Overall amazing plot I can’t wait for the next one!

Prelim Review: This is a direct continuation of the second book, White Wake on Sand, and follows the consequences of the actions of that book. The feel is a little different because in stead of random scenery it is set in one town, filled with infinite mysteries and perhaps even some answers. The ending is...heart wrenching and I'm eager to find out how the two get on once more. I know I've only read three of the books, but this has got to be my all time favorite series, for now at least. It is one of the most creative stories I've ever read and I just so love the characters. And, the plot thickens. 3.5 Felt less episodic, had no traveling, and character growth happened. Nice.
