Eric thinks that he can change Greta's mind if given a chance, but will his need to insure the outcome jeopardize the very future he wants? That’s when it hits me that I’ve just intervened in a situation I know nothing about. For all I know, this man is her boyfriend. Or husband. I’m surprised to find I don’t care. I’m taking her home either way. If this prick is her boyfriend, they just broke up. If they’re married, we’ll get those papers signed. I’m not going anywhere without her. And that certainty…is insane. I hear my thoughts and know they’re crazy, completely unlike me, but as soon as I saw her, it was like a shot of adrenaline and possessiveness, all at once. A Molotov cocktail of lust and guardianship. Mine. Fate has whispered in my ear for the first time in my life. I don’t get it, but that’s the end of the story. Character development: This was a typical Jessa Kane story, funny, sweet, hot, all of the above. I loved their basketball playing session at Eric's house. He did a really good job of showing her how fun they could be together. And the surprise that they both enjoyed a little Daddy kink - not surprising for the reader (since it's a JK book), but surprising for the characters! I loved it! Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes

How did I not know this came out? That’s the second time this has happened to me... but anyway, you know I’m about to drop all my other books to read a new one by Jessa Kane. So Greta is 21 and the daughter of a basketball coach. She’s seen some shit with the players over the years so she has a rule: no dating athletes. It’s why she refuses Eric when he tries his hardest to win her over after seeing her in a nightclub. She feels the attraction but she still blows him off at the end of the night. It’s why she refuses Eric when he tries his hardest to win her over after seeing her in a nightclub. She feels the attraction but she still blows him off at the end of the night. Because this right here... “Look…look at you, trying to sleep with me in a nightclub, ten minutes after we met. If that doesn’t prove you’re just another athlete used to getting anything he wants, nothing will.” Hell yeahhhhhh, you go Greta girl! And I’m loving this story at this point, even rooting for Eric and thennnn here he goes, screwing it all up. Eric to his coach, Greta’s dad: “She’s now a condition of the contract.” “It means, if you want me to play for LA, she’s part of the deal. She wears my ring.” “And I get everything that comes with her being my wife,” “You will if you want the banner.” Oooohhhhhh nonono, bad boy Eric!!! What a prick. Still, Greta can’t stop feeling that electricity between them and it is HOT. He calls her little girl, she calls him Daddy. Mmmm, I love that shit in my books so this just got a bit more interesting to me. 🥵 Anyway, Eric hadn’t slept with anyone in 11 years and he kinda grew back on me again even though he made some bad moves in the beginning. I wanna hate him but I just can’t do it. There’s some drama but in the end there’s an HEA. Of course there is. And I finished the book feeling satisfied. Overall I enjoyed it and I thought it was worth pausing my other book downloads to read this. I don’t know what exactly it is but a Jessa Kane book always does it for me. 3.75⭐️ POV: Dual 1st person

He jumps in after she punches the guy, he gets security to take the guy since he had put something in Greta’s drink. He comes back to her and they head to the bar. They introduce themselves and he finds out she’s his new coaches daughter. She tells him she does not date basketball players, but they do kiss. She leaves, the next day Eric manipulates the situation with her dad, he’ll sign if Greta will be his. When she balks he tells her he will sign and she can decide to be with him permanently once she gets to know him. But he cheats by signing his multi million dollar contract as Mr Greta Welding. Greta was jaded on men with money and power because when her parents divorced her father to protect his image paid her mother for her. That didn’t make a lot of sense, there are lots of successful public figures who aren’t in their children’s lives and it doesn’t hurt their image. He is a men’s basketball coach, so it made even less sense. Plus Greta has seen lots of failed relationships and marriages of players on the team so she was protecting herself. Once they spend time together she feels the connection and she gives him her virginity, he has been celibate since college. He had a bad experience with a fraternity, his best friend died in a razing incident where he was to drunk to know his friend was dying. When she finds out he lied she tells him he was just like all the other men. He’s very hurt by this and by the hurt he has caused Greta. She finally forgives him, tipping point is he signed contract Mr Greta Welding. Epilogue ten years later with kids and her having a better relationship with her dad.

I don't know how she does it. How she can give you an entire story in 81 pages and make you feel satisfied. The awesomeness this story gives you: 1. Daddy kink done right and not creepy. 2. Mild age gap (21 and 29) where the heroine isn't a twit. 3. Coach's daughter - which you figure that out already, obviously. 4. Smut-fucking-tastic. 5. Virgin heroine. 6. And last but not least extreme insta-love that makes you all happy inside instead of annoyed as fuck. “For all I know, this man is her boyfriend. I don't know how she does it. Welcome them home like a good girl.” Seriously, what is wrong with me that that makes me tingle a little inside. This had good bits. But I kind of felt like this was a mish mash of Kane’s other books. The characters felt inconsistent. I quite dislike the ‘stubborn’ female who had tantrums trope, but was also kind of annoyed when she suddenly seems to lose this trait and it was never mentioned again. This jumble of classic Kane heroine / hero personalities made the book a little less gripping, but it was still a good read overall. I liked this bit: “I’m suddenly so turned on, I can barely form a coherent sentence. “It’s, um…hot. It’s so hot that you listened. What…who are you?” That was indeed hot, but like I said, him being a good listener comes up once again, and then is forgotten in the second half of the book. Of course then it also turns out that he isn’t a great listener. That’s not so annoying because he’s an alpha dude who will stop at nothing to get the woman he wants, that’s all fine, but it should have been brought back in some way. Also, his nickname the ‘silent assassin’ makes me think he’s a repeat offended of the silent, but deadly variety of fart. The only other thing that made me go ‘hmmmm’ is that there’s a conversation that kind of implies that male rape or harassment isn’t a thing. Look, I know that’s not the point that was being made, but it sort of made it out that only men can be aggressors and that made me uncomfortable. Mostly though, this was not a bad book, and was a fun read.

Fuck. Me. That was hot. 4.5 stars! God. I am absolutely fucking obsessed with her short novellas like this one. I just can’t help but find the possessive, over the top, borderline(and not so “borderline”) unhealthily obsessed alphas she writes to be the hottest men imaginable. They’re insatiable. Instantaneously in love with their women by act of fate. Willing to go to any length to make them happy that they’re their’s. And the women are sweet. And sassy. And independent. And yet oh so innocent. Fuck. Me. That was hot. 4.5 stars! God. I am absolutely fucking obsessed with her short novellas like this one. There’s totally filthy sex, a man who is struck down with lust and adoration from the second he spots Greta. A bit of resistance on her part stemming from all the things she’s had to witness being a league coach’s daughter, but Eric does not let her go for a second. Showing up everywhere she is. One, to be close to her, and two, to let her see that he won’t just let her walk away from him. And a sappy ending that also happens to be completely filthy and satisfying. I will just forever be salivating over Jessa Kane’s new releases, from now until eternity. Fucking perfection.

This was a really short novella about a pro basketball player and the coach's daughter ( obviously, it's right there in the title) Anyway, this is a love at first sight thing for the hero Eric. Not even knowing who she is, he approaches with the intention of making her his. Until she turns him down and he finds out who she is. Not even knowing who she is, he approaches with the intention of making her his. Until she turns him down and he finds out who she is. You'd think it would deter him, but nope. Eric wants what he wants, and is willing to play dirty to get the girl. Greta has grown up around basketball all her life, with her father being a famous coach. She has seen first hand how these guys get whatever they want and has made a rule to never get involved with any of them. A rule that she has abided by pretty well until Eric comes along. She can't deny the chemistry between them but still refuses to give in. Will Eric make her change her mind? Although I enjoyed this story and the scenes were hot, everything felt so fast-paced and rushed. I wanted to smack Greta's father for choosing the team over his daughter, and although Eric played dirty to get Greta, I admired his persistence.

This time around we have a more kick-ass heroine; there are further hints at the pleasures and agony of forced chastity; the beauty to serve a woman in charge, and an obsession that borders on insanity. Also, more love-making from the heroine’s point of view. This has become more often and more empathic over the last few books. However, the greatest strength of this writer is love-making from the man’s perspective. No-one can write it like that. Alas, not so much in this book. I am addicted to these books because of the raw, authentic, savage emotion they make me feel. I don’t know how the writer brings it forth so truthfully over and over and over again. In a world where all are so eager to replace primal passion with easily controllable, yet consumable technology and virtual derivatives, this is what I need. This is bravery. This is real.

Eric wasn't a bad guy, he did some stupid shit to get Greta and he felt guilty about it the whole time. Even when he had his little "safety net", he felt bad and it's hard to hate the guy with the name he signed on the contract. That's why this story worked so well for me, he really didn't want to force Greta into anything, even when he could have used the contact against her/them, he knew he would ultimately lose her if he didn't let her go. No real alpha caveman would ever *truly* leave his woman, but he did give her the space she needed while showing that he wasn't giving up on them, not even because of his stupid decision. And I love that Greta wasn't a doormat who has absolutely no control over her own libido. She shuts Eric down a couple of times even though her body is saying yes and it wasn't easy to do. Her decision to forgive him and give him a second chance was truly her decision.

So. Greta and Eric. She's the college-aged daughter of the coach. He's the highly coveted professional basketball player who knows she's the one for him the moment he lays eyes on her. Obsessive, Possessive Man...Uhh. Yes please I don't remember how I stumbled upon Jessa Kane but I'm so glad I did. My first read by her was "Hefty" and it remains my favorite to this day but I always check out her new releases as she does a fantastic job of creating rapid character build and chemistry. Her books are more like novellas (being under 100 pages), but sometimes I just want something I can sink into quickly and get the instant gratification of well written characters, with the kind of Obsessive, Possessive Man...Uhh. Coach's Daughter is one of the better ones I've read of late. I love an obsessive, possessive guy who straddles the line perfectly between respect of the GMC and possessive dominance. Eric (H) walked that line perfectly in my opinion.

This book overflows with Jessa Kane sexy goodness. It’s exactly what I expect when I pick up a new Jessa book. It’s got a bossy alpha hero who’s completely obsessed with the woman who he falls instantly in love with after a single glance. He does stupid things to make her love him. She’s determined and strong and, of course, a virgin who becomes a sex kitten. And she’s not sure why she wants him so much so soon, but they’re too hot together for her to question it too much. "Coach's Daughter" is the story of Greta and Eric. What is JK doing to me? Angst, smut, drama and romance in one book. Ooof! Obsessed basketball star hero takes one look at the heroine, and falls head over heels in love with the hero. She has a rule not to mess with basketball players, and he decides to take matters in his own hand. How this obsessed man crosses lines of sanity, while respecting the heroine's wishes and genuinely wanting her to be all in forms the story. It was fabulous and I loved "Coach's Daughter" is the story of Greta and Eric. What is JK doing to me? Angst, smut, drama and romance in one book. Ooof! The heroine was bratty but not unlikable. Safe 4/5

In my Defence I was about to read an angst filled book so I needed my JK especial smutty courage. I swear I planned to read that said angst filled book More than Enough by Jay McLean right after finishing this one, but what the heck Jessa released another book on March 22th and that too on Bully Romance 😤 and I- Also if y'all are wondering Eric did a wonderful of giving me some smutty courage 🤭🙈 In my Defence I was about to read an angst filled book so I needed my JK especial smutty courage. 2.5 stars I will start by saying that I had absolutely no expectations going into this book. I expected it to be pure smut, almost fanfiction. If the characters were someone else's, this would be worthy of the depths of Wattpad. There's no real...direction? Except for marrying the girl that you met yesterday at a bar for five minutes. The sex was decently written. It does have a daddy kink that was pretty okay. I don't know what else to say, that's all the mental energy I can spend on this. The silent Assassin Greta and Eric are intense. Eric is more than willing to pull all the stops to get the little girl of his dreams to finally open up to him. This was a fast paced, short novella. With a slight daddy kink. The right amount of insta love from the hero, and sparky temper from our heroine. Greta was just enticing enough to draw Eric out of his self imposed celibacy. And Eric was the soothing calm to Gretas quick temper!

Great and Eric are meant to be!! Greta has made it her life mission to never, ever date a basketball player and even though Eric is tempting she doesn't plan on breaking that rule. Eric has never wanted someone as badly as he wants Greta just seconds after laying eyes on her. He needs her to be in his life forever and he will make her break her rule of not dating basketball players, because he is all she will ever need. This is a great read and I highly recommend it! I really really think I'm literally addicted to these books. I have the link to Jessa Kane's Goodreads books on my bookmarks bar and I check it weekly; a sickening under exaggeration. I mean there was a time she was cranking them out once a week and even THAT was too little. Seriously, I'm worried that I'll never be able to read anything else. All the other books I try to read are just...eh. At this point I don't even care what the story is about...I just like...need them. I really really think I'm literally addicted to these books. Hot off the press!! This right here is hot off the press!! You can never get enough of Jessa Kane ill erotic short stories. The bad part is you read them as fast as she can release it. Greta was definitely a hard cookie to crumble until she stumbles into Eric. You just can't review this without spilling the beans, but just know she know loves the games he play literally. Empowerment Yes! Eric is the prince of this story who promotes and supports women’s rights and being independent. Greta has had to fight forever for respect ✊. Eric can be sexy, supportive and want Greta on her knees. Greta can be independent and still want to be dominated. This book has a healthy balance of respect, love and power. This author is the best, always. Happy reading and wine drinking!

Eric and Greta Great couple. This quiet alpha knows what he wants and does what it takes to get it. Eric is so hot with such a good heart. It may take a minute, but Greta figures out how lucky she is. This story checked all my boxes for a 5 star quick read. The plot is simple yet so engaging and you feel right along with the characters. Well written and so enjoyable, my new favorite Jessa Kane book.💖💖💖

Greta Welding is Eric Bentley's new coach's daughter and the minute he meets her at a club, he wants her. Greta has a policy to not date basketball players but Eric keeps proving to her that he's not like other guys. Yes Eric is an OTT alpha guy but he actually listens to Greta when she says something to him. Greta was a virgin, but she was far from naïve and fought for what she believed was right. I liked this story but it was on the tamer side for a JK book and Greta and Eric got their HEA.
