I am not sure where this is headed but I am intrigued enough to continue reading. I dig the representation as well.

A very promising start to this series! A group of teen girls in the 70s are trying to scrounge and hustle enough cash to go the a Janis Joplin concert coming up. They have heard spooky tales about Proctor Road and try to get a few guys at the turn fair to go on a haunted tour of the site at $5 each. Unfortunately, they might be a little too close to the truth of what is it going on down Proctor Road. The art style and inking is gorgeous and I am pumped to see what happens next!

trying to figure out why the white dudes who wrote this fet the need to make the “bad” character say an anti-asian slur, especially when 0 asian people worked on this comic i get the point they were trying to make but like maybe lets prioritize the asian people who want to read comics without having to see racist slurs also there was a weird throwaway line about suicide and another one about fat people that, again, i think i understood where they were coming from but like??? were they necessary?? trying to figure out why the white dudes who wrote this fet the need to make the “bad” character say an anti-asian slur, especially when 0 asian people worked on this comic i get the point they were trying to make but like maybe lets prioritize the asian people who want to read comics without having to see racist slurs also there was a weird throwaway line about suicide and another one about fat people that, again, i think i understood where they were coming from but like??? were they necessary???? no

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. This was nice. A story that feels kind of familiar but entirely new at the same time, if that's possible? It has a lot of similarities with some other horror titles but the premise is different enough that it feels fresh. Also the last page sets up an interesting investigation and perhaps a way out of the girls' predicament. This was nice.
