Here is an honest review based on a copy of this book provided to me by the author. I have little experience in the realms of romantic, sexually graphic and erotic novels. But I have read sufficient stories not to be embarrassed or shocked by such content. As they used to joke about naked actresses in movies it is fundamental to the story and character development. I have little experience in the realms of romantic, sexually graphic and erotic novels. But I have read sufficient stories not to be embarrassed or shocked by such content. As they used to joke about naked actresses in movies it is fundamental to the story and character development. Happily Leah is a fine writer who includes the racy bits not to conceal a lack of ability but to deepen the relationships portrayed within the context of a modern and adult reader’s experience. So at no time do I find her sexual vocabulary strained nor included to titillate. Rather the writing is measured, the sex a natural by-product of appropriate relationships and necessary to tell a serious story. This is the first book it what promises to be a fresh and interesting series into dating and modern relationships. In this account we meet Charlotte; a twenty-six year old single women. Successful but lacking confidence in general. This has a habit into spilling over into her relationships; none of her boyfriends seem to last more than four months. She is used to rejection but cannot see what she is doing wrong. Her best friend, is a gem of a character, she says what’s on her mind and tells it as it is. Miley, suggests using a dating app as a way forward. The idea is too radical for Charlotte initially but she slowly comes round to the idea. Charlotte is a very believable creation and you feel all her uncertainty and self-doubts as she tentatively explores creating her profile and uploading photographs. This is clever writing, appraising the various short-comings and surprising successes of this modern way to meet others and find dates. As she gets further into it and meets a potential date Charlotte is left wondering what does she want from the experience. The momentum of exchanges between her and her potential date takes on a pace of its own and almost an inevitability of the final outcome. Maybe it is possible to find love on a dating app but maybe it’s just an illusion for a new means to break her heart. I enjoyed this tension, the romance and effect it has on Charlotte, she visibly grows and her vulnerability seems to fade. Her date seems too perfect to be true, but he is understanding and supportive of her. The story seems complete, a perfect first date but even if the reader is as content as Charlotte becomes the author has one final twist to set up the rest of this series and perhaps indicate this will become a compelling and enjoyable set of books.

I received a copy of this title in exchange for an honest review. This short story is a very quick read. You get a good introduction to our lead character, Charlotte, and her current plight. Considering it’s a short story, it’s not super deep on character development and the plot moves rather quickly. My only real gripe with it is is how abruptly it ended. Other than that, an easy read that keeps your attention.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A lovely short story that held my attention right from page one. I have a soft spot for Leah Colton as an author and recommend her books. If I give a higher rating I wold - this book deserves a 10.

Interesting This gets a 4 star due to the fact that it ends abruptly!!!! What the heck.... This is a pretty good light read. Something different. I really like this story. I have to know what happens next. Is this story worth a read..... Yup, sure is!!!
