How to Win Big in the Music Business

Availability: Ready to download

This book that I've written is a collection of proven strategies to maximize your success in the music industry presented to you in a no-BS, matter-of-fact manner. I wanted to create a guide that I wished I had when I was coming up. The good thing for you is that I didn’t, because if I did, I wouldn’t have learned the many lessons and skills that have not only worked for me This book that I've written is a collection of proven strategies to maximize your success in the music industry presented to you in a no-BS, matter-of-fact manner. I wanted to create a guide that I wished I had when I was coming up. The good thing for you is that I didn’t, because if I did, I wouldn’t have learned the many lessons and skills that have not only worked for me, but also for countless others who I have discovered, consulted, advised, or helped. Throughout this book I’ll tell you stories that give you a priceless understanding of strategies that successful artists I’ve worked with, like DJ Snake, used to achieve tremendous success. I will tell you exactly what he did and how it worked. You’ll learn the tricks and traits that others I’ve worked with, from Big Sean, Diddy, to Pitbull, used that catapulted them to continued success. This book will also help you make better decisions and avoid the dumbass mistakes I’ve made over the course of my 20 years in the music business and seen others make and still make over and over again.

Quick and to the point. A lot of books about making it in any business have a lot of filler. Sometimes it's good in the form of real life success stories. Clinton has stories in here, but he leaves out a lot of the other stuff that pads word counts in other business books. I listened to the audiobook. And I expect to listen at least 1-2 more times. It's short enough that going again isn't a big undertaking. There are a few other business/motivation/self-improvement books/audiobooks that fit in t Quick and to the point. There are a few other business/motivation/self-improvement books/audiobooks that fit in this category for me that I continue to go back to: The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield; The Strangest Secret, by Earl Nightingale; and a few others. Time will tell if it stays there for me, but that's the feeling I get for now.

Clinton does a great job with the story flow. I do appreciate how tight he kept the stories and didn’t hold anything back with the straight forward insights. I do like the fact that a lot of greater insights and some of the unsaid strategies he applied were kinda epic. I really wonder if he is going to release any of the content that he did over his moms house in the basement. That’s a real testament to being a go getter and making things happen if you want them bad enough.
