Poets, Prophets, and Revolutionaries: The Literary Avant-Garde from Rimbaud Through Postmodernism

Ivan Labayne–
Nice supplement to a previous 'obsession' with the postmodern. Nice to learn about the aesthetic orientations and specific works of the likes of Apollinaire and Rimbaud and Mayakovsky. The connection from Brecht to the Postmodern was not clearly shown, though. After the final chapter -- on Postmodernism -- I realize how a lot of new things and movements have come and gone already. Though POMO is very much still in place and lioning it way here, in our kitchen tables and university entrances. Nice supplement to a previous 'obsession' with the postmodern.
