When Jennifer meets Stetson the sparks fly but not in a good way (in the beginning) she feels the pull to want more from Stetson but he doesn’t want anything to do with her because she reminds him of a city girl and he has already been left by one. Can Jennifer find a way to save Stetson’s ranch and find a way into his heart or will it all fall to ruin??? Blizzard of Love is a continuation of Accounting for Love but its the secondary characters who star in this book. Bonnie and Luke are the best friends of Stetson and Jennifer in Accounting for Love. They have been invited to the ranch for the Christmas holiday...she loves Christmas...he doesn't. Was this a setup to bring them together or was it a coincident?? But what happens when they get stranded in a blizzard? Will they find a way to co-exist or will the heat they generate...melt the snow??

You will not be disappointed! *** Reviewing “ACCOUNTING FOR LOVE (#1) *** Stetson Miller looked around at the extensive clutter in his deceased father’s office. He need to get this organized if he intended to save the farm! He had been given 31 days to bring the loan current or the bank would foreclose. Mumbling about what he would do to the low-down banker/thief who was coming, he ignored his housekeeper’s throat-clearing and finally turned around. Behind her was a woman sent by the bank, so he verbally attacked her too for her cowardly boss not coming here himself! In anger, he gave her a list of requirements on how this audit would be done, the hours, one sandwich for lunch, etc. He made it plain she was not getting any hospitality. He was so rude that Carmelita, the housekeeper, made it a point to reprimand him that evening. Jennifer Kendall began organizing the mass of papers into something that made sense as she began her audit. Stetson continued to be brusque, although Carmelita’s words helped a great deal. Jennifer asked him about the large amounts of money going into his personal checking account, and he told her it was to pay for his father’s chemo. The last treatment was why he didn’t have the money to make the loan payment. He ran out of the office, angry with himself for revealing so much to her. But it made Jennifer resolve to find a way to save his farm! At the end of the day, her boss called her, angry that she didn’t have a recommendation yet. He wanted that foreclosure to happen! He screamed that the Board wanted options – was foreclosure still an option? She responded, “Foreclosure is always an option,” just as Stetson stepped up on the porch and heard her! Devastated and angry, he stormed past her and even yelled at Carmelita. In tears, Jennifer ran to her car and – as she sped off in the blinding rain and slick mud – she didn’t feel how her little car was sliding recklessly. And then she lost control as she went off the road! This book is a rewrite of the original story of the same name. The author did a fine job fleshing it out and matching it to her current writing style. The characters were very realistic and believable. Stetson had a great deal of pressure on him to be successful as the youngest of three sons. He didn’t want to go to his brothers for help, but he had been funding his dad’s treatments before his death and did not stay on top of his loan payment. His failure angered him and he took it out on Jennifer. The bank wanted the land for its own purposes and was pushing for foreclosure. Fortunately, Jennifer is an honest, caring person who is good at her job. She wants to find a way to make things right. But is it enough to save the farm? The reader will enjoy following this story line with its twists and turns. Don’t miss this one!! Then go on and read the next book in the set!

Blizzard of Love I have enjoyed all of Erin Wright's Long Valley stories and this one is a special treat set at Christmastime! It can certainly be read as a standalone but I really urge you to read the rest of the stories in the Long Valley series - they are all great! In Blizzard of Love, Luke Nash, a farmer in the Valley who plans on spending Christmas alone, accepts an invitation from his best friend, Stetson ("Stets") Miller to spend the holiday weekend with Stets and his wife, Jennifer. As L Blizzard of Love I have enjoyed all of Erin Wright's Long Valley stories and this one is a special treat set at Christmastime! As Luke's best friend, Stets knows Luke didn't have any plans and was just going to be home alone. Jennifer, in the meantime, unknowing that Stets has invited Luke, extends an invitation to her best friend Bonnie, an accountant who lives in a large city about 90 minutes south and is also alone for the holidays, to join she and Stets for Christmas. Let me say right now that the way that Luke and Bonnie meet for the first time is hilarious! City girl and country boy - both making assumptions about the other. Things get even more complicated when Stetson, Jennifer, Luke and Bonnie find themselves snowed in and with no power. After a long night of everyone huddled in their sleeping bags in front of the fireplace for warmth, things begin to heat up between Luke and Bonnie. But Bonnie lives in the city miles from Long Valley and Luke owns a farm in the Valley. Can the magic of mistletoe and a Christmas miracle bring them together? Such a great feel-good, heartwarming story! Accounting for Love Accounting for Love - updated, revised and expanded which results in additional humor, deeper plot development, expanded scenes, change in pace, etc., all of which takes the best aspects of the original story and makes it just that much better! Stetson is a farmer facing foreclosure and Jennifer is the banking accountant sent to audit his books - which, of course, puts Stetson on the defensive immediately. But there’s an attraction there too... Both main characters, Stetson and Jennifer, have issues from their past that shape how they view themselves today, which in turn effects their interactions with each other. With the expanded story, we get more in-depth characterization which allows a stronger connection to both characters, identifying more with what each one is feeling. This makes the entire story more satisfying! The supporting characters provide further strength and depth to the story. I especially enjoyed Carmelita - housekeeper, grandmother figure, not afraid to speak her mind! And the epilogue is just perfect! Whether you are just beginning the Long Valley series or you’ve read the original version of Accounting for Love, you will thoroughly enjoy reading this one!

This author was recommended to me by another author that I really like. I thought I would give it try and I am VERY glad that I did. Mrs. Wright is an amazing author. She understands that her job could be difficult to some people and she does whatever she can to help them or at least make them understand that she isn't trying to be the bad guy. She understands that her job could be difficult to some people and she does whatever she can to help them or at least make them understand that she isn't trying to be the bad guy. She is a woman who has a wonderful heart and truly understands that some people gut reactions of meeting her isn't exactly them at their very best. I also really understood the character of Stetson. I live in an area where we have a lot of small working farms and how depending on what happens that year with the weather it can have a very drastic and lasting effect on the bottom line. I understand his anger but I also liked reading that he wasn't an angry man. I loved that he has Carmelita in his life. I loved their interactions. Even when he is being scolded by her, you see the love these two have for each other. These two were fun to read and the sexy times were hot!! It is always fun to find new authors and I plan to read more from this author in the future. Blizzard of Love While this was a shorter book, it still hits you with all the feels. You have polar opposites, Luke and Bonnie. Bonnie loves Christmas and everything having to do with it. Luke does not. However, both of them get wrangled into going to their friends house for Christmas where they meet. Their first meet up is quiet memorable. I loved reading about them softening towards each other and the spark igniting. I also liked that there was a little suspense in here also. Blizzards are not something to mess with. This was a great story where you get to watch Bonnie and Luke fall in love but you also get a continuations of Stetson and Jennifer. This book can be a standalone but it is fun to read after book one.

A very enjoyable two-book set from this author. Ms. Wright puts her story in Sawyer, Idaho, a place in the middle of nowhere, where the farms are big and the the men that run them are larger than life. Stetson is about to lose his farm due to some poor accounting practices on his part. Along comes Jennifer, ready to audit his books and see if there is any way she can help him save his farm. He thinks she "is the enemy," and it takes a while before he realizes that is not the case. Together they work towards that goal and fall in love. But of course, it's a rocky road before they can find their HEA. In the second book, Luke, best friend of Stetson and a solitary farmer who acts like he is happy in that state of being, is invited to spend Christmas with Stetson and "his family." Luke hates Christmas and all the bad things this time of year reminds him of. But he never the less decides to get on over to Stetson's place and make the best of the holiday. He isn't expecting to meet Bonnie, best friend to Stetson's wife, Jennifer. But an immediate attraction is there and the best thing of all is that the snow starts falling on Christmas Eve and Idaho experiences the "storm of the century," and everyone is stranded together and the sparks begin to fly. These two farmers are funny, touching and sexy. Not at all like the farmers I remember when I lived in Idaho. They must be growing them better now! I recommend these books and this author and look forward to meeting more of these Idaho hotties in more of Ms. Wright's books.

A delightful story, Accounting for Love draws the reader into the life and emotions of Stetson and Jennifer from the opening page. I especially laughed at the closing paragraphs and thoroughly enjoyed Stetson's boyishness. The story would have been incomplete without Carmelita, who played an integral role. The story is really well written and kept my interest from beginning to end. Blizzard of Love is a novelette and can be read in an evening. Despite its length, however, it is a well-written entertaining read. Luke and Bonnie's initial meeting is hilarious and a real ice breaker, snow and ice being the defining factor of this book. The connection between them is palpable in the fishbowl setting with three other people present. When a storm downs the electricity, the small group of people are forced to share a room to preserve heat and candlelight. Luke is so certain that he will never marry and certainly not to a city dweller and makes his feelings clear. Disappointed, Bonnie accepts his verdict and when the snow clears, leaves the farm with a heavy heart. Nevertheless, this standalone romance comes to a happy conclusion. This is a clean holiday romance that I found refreshing. Both books are well written and highly enjoyable with the author's ever-present wit and charm.

I originally read and reviewed these two stories when they were first released. Having them in one set is great as it makes it easier to go from one to the other. Below are my original reviews. Blizzard of Love: Luke Nash isn't a big fan of Christmas time for a very good reason. Bonnie Patterson loves everything about the season. Both are invited to Stetson and Jennifer's home for the holiday weekend. Luke and Bonnie's first meeting doesn't go well. When the blizzard hits and they spend some time together they fall for each other. With Bonnie living 90 minutes away, will they be able to make their relationship work? I really enjoyed this story. It was nice to catch up with Stetson, Jennifer and Camelita and to meet new characters. Can't wait to read what Ms. Wright has planned for Stetson's brothers.

The Miller’s ranch is a special place to fall in love and find happiness. Opposites attract, Jennifer is a city girl, Stetson is a country man, but they need to work together to save the family ranch. Luke hates Christmas but a blizzard make his stay in the Miller’s ranch with his friend Stentson, her girlfriend Jennifer and her best friend Bonnie, who is crazy about the holidays. Two great love stories.

These are the two first books in Long Valley series and as the author herself says, they meant to be together. The first book, Accounting for Love is Stetson and Jennifer’s story, and the second book Blizzard of Love is Luke (Stetson’s best friend) and Bonnie’s (Jennifer’s best friend) story. Both books are easy to read, fun and enjoyable. They are well-written and the characters are well-developed.

I've read the first two books of this series and fell in love with all the characters. Erin has a remarkable way of describing not only personalities, but locations and these two stories are no different. I felt as though the characters were friends and that I was in Long Valley with them. I'm certainly looking forward to reading more of this series. Keep up the great work, Erin.
