    Four Lovely Meditations I have read and reviewed several of this author's books, and his strength is making delightful meditations. This book has four meditations that actively use breathwork to calm and focus. The first meditation is about breathwork itself and seeks to reduce anxiety and bring about gentle awareness. The next is about clarity and letting go of things that you cannot control. I loved the third one, which is about staying calm and uses colors. This book has four meditations that actively use breathwork to calm and focus. The first meditation is about breathwork itself and seeks to reduce anxiety and bring about gentle awareness. The next is about clarity and letting go of things that you cannot control. I loved the third one, which is about staying calm and uses colors. The final meditation is meant to help focus. There is a persistent error in the first meditation, unfortunately. As this one truly focuses on breathwork, he has you breathe in and out at various points, but he mistakenly calls the second part of the breath an *in* breath as well as the first. I did receive an ARC copy, but a quick check on Amazon showed that this mistake persisted in the published version. So, just know that you should breathe out after you breathe in, rather than breathing in twice! I think to get the best use out of this book, you should record yourself saying the meditations and then listen to them in a quiet room with little distractions. There are free applications and apps where you can record yourself. I'm a fan of the free computer application Audacity, but there's probably some great mobile apps out there as well. I thought these medications were lovely and could help anxiety and promote calm and focus. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
