I found it really interesting that she would basically write one poem twice - a version for the "thinkers" and the "feelers". I've never seen that before and really enjoyed it! Loved this book. Very therapeutic. I feel like it would need to be read in context of her other books for the philosophy to be internalized, but it’s a great feel good book that reminds you to slow down and love yourself.

Poetry that allows you to love yourself is the best in my opinion. Godfred weaves compelling and complex poems that really tear at your heart strings. If you have ever question your worth, your love for yourself and yourself, these poems are made for you. With a side by side comparison of thinking vs feeling.

The messages in this book are wonderful and heartwarming but it's not really poetry. It's mostly just one of those press-enter-after-random-words "-poetry" books. While some of the poems are actual poems, most of them are not. I think this genre of modern poetry should rather be advertised as something else. For example as "streams of consciousness" or "a book of words and nice thoughts". Then it would be something fresh and new and not one of these corny tumblr poetry books. I still enjoyed the kind words and reminders. Some of them were really needed and I even shed a few tears reading them. I just would have enjoyed the book itself more if it wasn't trying to be marketed as poetry. Also just a side not from someone who studies psychology; there is no such thing as left brain thinkers and right brain feelers. It's still a fun thought though. Sending kind energy to your day. Remember to listen to yourself wherever you are, Sanni

The concept of this book as having a shared page-spread theme with a logical and analytical poem on the left symbolic of the left brain and a creative and imaginative poem on the right representative of the right brain. While in poetic form, her themes and concepts align with philosophers and psychological who support the self-healing movement. What a beautiful way to express and uplift the idea of self care and self love.

I'm very upset. I really wanted to like this book. I don't hate it by any means though. I like what the author was trying to do by having poems that appeal to emotions or logic. However, the poems just did not resonate with me like I thought they would. There were quite a few poems I found amazing, but they were few and far between. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not it's because the poems just aren't my style or if it's because I feel as though I've read these poems elsewhere thousands I'm very upset. Regardless, I don't think this is a bad book. It's just not a book for me.

I was lucky enough to get to edit this book and help Melody find pairs of poems to include. My favorite thing about this book is how each poem, individually, is beautiful and thought-provoking, but when you read them as pairs, it's like the poems are having a conversation with each other on a concept. This positive, self-loving book is what we all need right now. I was lucky enough to get to edit this book and help Melody find pairs of poems to include. Moving I loved every poem in this collection. I can relate and feel this is a collection one should consistently return to when in need of reminders.

This is the book I'm most proud of writing. 100 pairs of poems, each on a central theme related to self love. The left side poem is designed to appeal to left-brain thinkers, and the right side poem to right-brain feelers. Together, each set of poems activates your heart, mind and spirit. I hope as we start a new year it brings you comfort, hope, joy and closer to your true self.
