Rashaad is a super sweet guy and just when you think he’s too sweet that BDE makes itself known whew 🥵🤤 I love the family dynamics in the story, Rashaad’s relationship with his siblings and parents as well as Aubrielle’s relationship with her cousin and parents. I love the celebration of Black love both sets of parents have been married for 30+ years. I haven’t been roller skating since the pandemic began, this made me miss it! Just when everything is moving along smoothly something happens 😮 I didn’t see it coming, I was completely shocked! The epilogue is great ☺️🥰 Another great book by Kay Shanee! P.s. Rashawn and Keyla are a mess, but I’d like to see (read) it!

What a feel good story! Rashaad and Aubrielle had such good chemistry, and connected on so many levels. Rashaad was so outspoken, but very forthcoming about what he wanted out of dating Aubrielle. She could not believe that she met a man, that was a great father, attentive to her and an all around great guy. Although they moved quickly in their relationship, it was purposeful. This book was the bomb... As always Queen Kay gave us another amazing read. This book definitely took me back to my preteen and high school days. God I miss skating, in Chicago it was The Rink or Route 66, those were the days. Anywho, I loved everything about Rashaad and he embodied everything I look for in a man, besides the deadbeat baby momma. Zara was his world and so was his siblings and parents. That Carmen was his situation and like he said Zara was his blessing. Here comes Elle who moves to greet a new start after dealing with that f'boy Damon. She lands her dream job doing what she loves. Her and Rashaad were made for each other and he dared anyone to come against their relationship. That man knew what he wanted, he was a business owner, amazing father, brother and son. Who couldn't love a man like that and he had no problem with expressing his feelings to his woman and the sex😜. I ain't gonna lie I was waiting on ish to hit the fan, but I thought the lil side booty chick would be the cause. Boy was I wrong! Then I thought Carmen would try and come back crying about she changed her mind. Wrong again. Carmen was a selfish bih, twice over and hands would've been laid the second time she pulled the bs she pulled!!! This book had me in love, horny, laughing and cursing. I loved Rashaad's parents, siblings and Elle's parents and especially her cousin Keyla. Key and Shawn need their story told cause they were a hot mess the whole book😂

Excellent storyline!!! I love how different this story was. The roller rink theme took me back to my childhood!!! Throw in a fine single dad and you can’t go wrong. I don't go judging people for some of theit choices when I don't know the reason behind them but I can say Shawn stepped up when his baby mama dipped not once but twice and the best of all was having a family that has his back. New bussiness venture is going well and in comes in the new chapter in his life when he least expects it. I just loved how this book was about following your gut instinct, addressed learning from past mistakes and wasn't about 'praying' for some divine intervention. Great read. I enjoy the characters (and now I want their spin off stories). The pacing and the flow of the story is great. The big curve and story bomb almost took me out!! As always, this author brings the steam and the spice and weaves it beautifully into the narrative!!

It a nice little love story I like how it was light even though it was some heavy moments in the book. That Zara mother was horrible. But I like how rashardd was as honest as he could without telling her mother didn't want her. Elle was a beautiful soul she handle the situation better than most people. Unexpected blessings I'm not sure how I feel about Carmen popping kids out and walking away. She's the definition of a deadbeat. I loved, loved, loved all of this! I love a good story about a black man rewriting the narrative about how black men love and raise their children. I know many men who fall into this category, but society constantly tries to get us to believe otherwise. I was captivated from beginning to end by Raashad and Aubrielle's love story that I stayed up until 2 am to finish. Rasshad child's mother was trifling as they come. I loved how Aubrielle loved his children as if they were her own. The two of them loved each other and the sex scenes had me like whewwwww. Definitely loved it and recommend. Acknowledging that each other is successful in their own right and figuring out how a new relationship fits into it all. It’s also a lot of good sex, everywhere, but it’s not used as manipulation by any of the characters. There are some editing misses, so there might be some sentences that you have to figure out. This was my first book by this author and I found the story enjoyable. And the cover is just beautiful!

Love Prevails This was a well rounded love story. I laughed with these characters, adored baby girl Zara, and envied the love Rashaad had for Aubrielle. It isn't often a man is able to fully articulate AND show his feelings through his actions. Rashaad was that dude. He had so much drama though. He was asking for a whole lot when Bri just had her caring parents to overcome. Just when you thought the story was too good to be true, real life drama would bring them right down to earth.
