Emerson proves that he is a man to be reckoned with, when an outlaw gang takes over his hometown! No punches pulled and no stone left unturned during the attempt to clear this gang o hardlined outlaws!
Definitely another five star thriller by Mr. Wheeler and this series of old western folklore adventures seems to get better and better with each new rendition of realistic exciting adventure? Emerson is the nucleus of those seeking justice as Sheriff Vinson is out of town visiting a sickly friend!

Outstanding storylines from beginning to end, and the camaraderie of a few townsfolk including the Mayor, a couple of Deputies, plus a rancher, or two, certainly have their hands full! Too,f the Author's successful selection of characters were unsurpassed in their respective assignments, as they continuously fulfilled their assignments with exceptionally outstanding episodes of unending excitement!
Most definitely recommend this outstanding western masterpiece of heartwarming series of unending adventures that immediately grabs your undivided attention and never lets go until the final word has been read! I assure you died in the wool western folklore enthusiasts will be completely engrossed from beginning to end! Even you non-western fanatics will find this compassionately motivated story to fulfill your greatest expectations, and you find it hard to set the book aside until the final paragraph has finally been read!!!😃

It's nice that the reader can keep his mind focused through the entire book.
Keep in mind this is a continuing saga. Is suggest reading the earlier book that sets up the history and helps you to understand why and who of the story. The crooks are a different breed but it all boils down to the hero's. It's nice that the reader can keep his mind focused through the entire book.

Confusing
Characters names transposed i e Emerson vs Crosby. Facts not correct(no sense) came out holding shotgun..... the rifle aimed over his head? Shotgun isn’t a rifle. Is Wheeler in too big a hurry-or just becoming senile? Good story base but very poor editing!

Not for me
I couldn't get past the prologue, the detailed murder of a loving family with three small children turned me off right away. Probably needless to say that I won't be reading any more of Mr Wheeler's work. Not for me

A very good story about family and friends and outlaws that cause Gavin in a town and with ranchers and their lives

Good
Another good book in the Western venue although I am beginning to wonder if all of the leading ladies are Irish.

Once again Wheeler does it. The story rings true. The characters ring tru and the Western setting rings true. All these combine to make for a terrific western adventure.
