Yet there wasn’t magic strong enough to keep them apart, and they risked everything for their love, for the freedom Perfect for fans of Holly Black and Victoria Schwab, this enthralling duology follows Jack and Fleur, star-crossed lovers trapped in an endless cycle of death. As immortal Seasons, Jack and Fleur wielded powerful magic in their roles as a Winter and a Spring. Or the fear that his choice to give up his magic may have doomed them after all. The world they thought they left behind is still dealing with the fallout of the rebellion they started. With Professor Lyon as the new Chronos, Seasons are free to do as they please. But not everyone is happy with the change in leadership. When an old enemy seeks revenge, the world’s most powerful magic runs wild and unchecked, creating global chaos. Is this why the first was such a drag? Was the author just trying to stretch it out enough for a sequel? Why not just make a good quality single book?

I honestly was not expecting to like this book. The last one ended so well that I didn't think a second book could be any good. I'm happy to say I was very wrong. It was just as good as the first, maybe even better. It made me mad, made me laugh, and even made me cry a little. I almost threw it across the room at one point but no book has actually made me do that yet. Anyways, amazing stuff and I do kinda wish there was a third book because I'm not ready to leave these characters and their world I honestly was not expecting to like this book. A great sequel to the 1st book! At first, I wasn’t really into it that much (probably bc I was on vacay) and the plot seemed a little too predictable, but later in the book, it picked up and got SO MUCH BETTER!! Many parts made me laugh, and the ending was written beautifully. Great finish!

Seasons of Chaos is the final novel in the Seasons of the Storm duology. Although Amber and Julio are not as prominent in this novel, they were still a part of the story. A new war begins and our characters must find a way to stop him. As this story is a continuation of the previous novel, this review will contain some spoilers from the previous. Jack is a former Winter, who has lost his magic from events at the end of Seasons of the Storm. Additionally, he also lost his immortality and now is trying to adjust to his new life with Fleur, who still has her Spring magic. He is determined to still keep an eye on Fleur and keep her safe. He is also still determined to do everything himself and continues to think that he is the one who can solve everything. For me, it was disappointing as this was a character trait from the first novel and it does not seem that he learned much from all the experiences. When the new villain takes Fleur, Jack must figure out how to band everyone together to rescue her and make everything right again. This novel continues to be told from the perspectives of Fleur and Jack with the villain also being introduced in a new third perspective. I loved having this third point of view as it was nice to see the story from both sides. It was really interesting to get into his head and try to figure out his end game and if he would actually achieve it. Overall, I enjoyed this novel more than the previous as it wrapped up everything nicely and gave more insight into some of the characters. The novel starts off slow as Jack and Fleur adjust to life after the first novel. Once the new obstacle presents itself, the book picks up speed and stays pretty steady until the end. While it was nice to get to know the characters over the course of two novels, I would have enjoyed this more as a standalone. If the two stories were combined into one novel, some of the subplots could have been streamlined a little more to make an excellent story. As it stands, this was an interesting conclusion to the duology and I may not reread this one, but I would be interested to see what else the author has to offer. [3.5 rounded to 4]

There's a development in some aspects but there are also things that I like in the first book seems to be missing in this one. First of all, I have to appreciate that the cover is beautiful and I have to admit the plot and the pacing is far better compare to the first one. This book has more actions and some parts along the story feels more intense compare to the first book. Another reason why I think this one is so much better because it actually provide the villain's POV which is great because There's a development in some aspects but there are also things that I like in the first book seems to be missing in this one. Another reason why I think this one is so much better because it actually provide the villain's POV which is great because it actually gives something more to the story. We can see his actions and reasons through his POV unlike the villain in the first book. We only get to see the former Chronos like twice, at the beginning and at the end. At least in this one, the villain looks to be contributing more in making chaos instead of only being told that he's the villain who wanted to destroy everything or sending someone else to do his bidding. However, I don't think there's not much development going on for the characters. Jack seems to be the same. He wanted to do everything by himself to save everyone even though he's not a Season anymore. I don't understand why he's always keen on working alone when he's got others... What I miss from the first book in this one is Amber and Julio as well as Chill and Poppy. I really love them and the fact that they're not really contributing much in this book disappointed me. Instead it introduces a new character. Don't get me wrong... I really like the new character, Kai. Can't believe there's only a glimpse of her in the first book when it turns out she has a very big secret with her history. Overall, I think this is pretty good. If I have to be honest, I like this more compare to the first one. Although personally I still think I would have given it a better ratings if this serves a standalone because the plot in the first one is just too dragging and boring.

What an absolutely perfect ending to this duology. Everything that I thought needed work in the last one (scenes that dragged, the overall quality of the writing, not enough interaction between Jack and Fleur) disappeared with this sequel. It was action packed, romantic, tense, and magical, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I loved the addition of the villain’s POV, and he was someone I loved hating. He was creepy and awful and one of the worst antagonists I’ve seen in quite some time. I thoug What an absolutely perfect ending to this duology. The only thing I didn’t like was that it went away from what I loved about the series in the first place- seasons killing each other when their time is up. And I completely understand why this happened, but I definitely missed that aspect of the story. Overall a truly fantastic sequel, and I’m sad that it’s over already.

I loved this book it was much better than the first one. I loved how the characters got into their true forms and skin. The only thing I disliked was that we didn’t see as much of Amber and Juleo .chill, poppy and all the new characters were great to. I liked the action and friendship and the romance every thing.😍🥰👌🏻

I ended up loving this book way more than I expected. The first book was amazing and I thought that it would just end there but getting the follow through with the characters was great and seeing how the long game was played by Lyon kept it interesting.

Like this one a lot. Ended like it was the finale book so I’m goin to review as if it was the end of a Duology. Had a predictable ending but to get to it I had fun with the action and the puzzle of why is happening and for what.
