The last place Lady Wenderley Davis ever expected to find herself after swearing off princes forever was living in a palace with two of them. Even if it is only temporary. And she did agree to it. Heart of the Crown by Hannah Currie is book #3 and did not disappoint! This series is so heartfelt and I love the beautiful lessons within. I really related with Wenderley and her wandering mind! It’s like looking into my scatterbrained head! I thought her conclusions were cute. I loved the little prince Ryan and their relationship. The love story is super cute and Marcos and Wenderley both have so much growing to do in the book. Marcos’ family is beautiful and I hope his sisters get a book

I'm sad that this is the final book of this amazing series. Every book in the series just keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend reading the first two books in the series first because then there won't be any spoilers. Lady Wenderley Davis has had a tough year or so. She's had her heart broken by a prince and has vowed to never have that happen again. However, when her friend asks her to become the temporary governess for the young Prince Ryan who just lost his mother, she feels like it might be a God thing (or Godwink or divine moment - whatever you like to call it). Wenderley has been praying for the young prince and his family for a while and is willing to do what she can to care for them. She is determined to only stay for a few weeks but with the Queen's encouragement, she keeps staying longer and longer. She easily falls in love with young Ryan and tries to help his distant father, Crown Prince Marcos, to spend more time with him. As she wears her heart on her sleeve, Wenderley tries her best not to get too attached to the royal family but it's difficult because she knows that she can't stay. Wenderley also has a secret and even though she's far from home, her past still comes back to haunt her. Will Wenderley ever be truly free from her past? Can she be forgiven for her mistake? Can she separate her feelings for Ryan and his handsome father before it's too late? Seriously, the relationship between Wenderley (Can I call her Wen? lol) and Ryan is absolutely adorable and so heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Obviously, if you've read the previous books, you understand that the relationship between Marcos and his son is complicated, but there's one particular scene where I couldn't stop tearing up. But my favorite scene came towards the end and I definitely had a cathartic cry. lol. I'm definitely that person. There was just something so beautiful and cleansing about that scene - the author really "preaches" some beautiful and relevant messages about forgiveness and faith - I made so many highlights near the end. Obviously, I highly recommend this book and series. Way to go out with a bang! I'm sad the series is over and hope to read more from this author in the future! If you love stories about imperfect royals and the power of love and forgiveness, I highly recommend this series. FYI there were plenty of parts that also made me laugh and sigh. What are you waiting for? Read this now! (unless you need to read the first two books first) ;)

This was by far my favorite of the three! Such a satisfying ending! I never thought of Marcos and Wenderly, but I'm so glad they came together. And the cute little prince and princesses. If you like A Christmas Prince or Crown for Christmas, you will love Wenderly's story in Heart of the Crown! There was yet another conversion, but this one was not the focus of the story. This focused on a long-time believer in God. I loved how real both the hero and heroine were, and how their doubts and shame affected them. We may not be able to relate to royalty, but we can relate to wondering how to trust God when He does something completely opposite of what we ask Him for. Wonderful quality, too. I didn't notice a single typo or grammatical error. And it's obvious that the author got better and better at writing emotions without being overly dramatic. A winner in my book! Favorite quotes: “The poor kid had clearly never made cookies with someone who didn't follow the recipe before. Good. Part one of his introduction to childhood was about to begin. Even royalty needed to know how to let loose.” (p. 33) “'Hodenia needs a show of security, something they can count on, to build their trust in me again, something marrying would provide. For that I need a wife, not a governess. You fit all my requirements better than anyone else I know.' How utterly romantic of him.” (p. 136) “'I, uh--' … Oh boy, he's coming closer. Please, Marcos, leave a discombobulated pathetic excuse for a woman alone to her romantic disillusions … Even my subconscious could talk better than me.” (p. 143) “...as I stood there, unable to look away. No, not unable. Unwilling. In that moment, in the middle of an industrial kitchen full of people stirring and calling to each other and getting back to work, something changed between us. And, for more reasons than I could count or name, it terrified me.” (p. 180) “Marriage, relationships … just like faith, they're a choice to keep believing even when the feelings aren't there anymore.” (p. 298) YES!

Oh My Goodness, I have been waiting for this book to come out and it was amazing! Currie’s book keeps on getting better and better. I loved the characters and the story line. I just want to keep on rereading it and rereading it! Heart of the Crown is the third book in Hannah Currie’s Daughters of Peverell series. Heart of the Crown is the third book in Hannah Currie’s Daughters of Peverell series. Wenderley finally gets her own book and it is even better than I had hoped. Lady Wenderley Davis never expected to find herself living in a place with two princes after swearing off princes forever. However she finds herself in the palace caring for Prince Marcos’ son. As she spends time with Marcos and Ryan she finds herself falling for this little family, but what happens when she has to leave? Is Wednerely meant to find her happy ending? I loved Wenderley, she was such a great character. I felt like I could relate to her, and I really liked reading her thoughts. She was so much fun. I loved how Wenderley was broken, she was human and she had her faults. However, she tried her best to cling to God and to serve him despite her faults. I think that reading about Wenderley struggling with her faith made her more real and made me like her more. I really enjoyed reading about Wenderley interacting with Ryan and the whole royal family. It was also cute to read about her talking to Marcos. Marcos was a big teddy bear, he cared deeply for others. He was broken but he was trying his best. He understood that he had a big responsibility and he was doing his best to care for those under his charge. I liked Marcos from the start of the book. He truly did love Ryan, he just didn't really know how to care for a kid. However Marcos had to learn to give everything to God and learn to rest in God’s forgiveness. Marcos and Wenderley were perfect together. However they needed to learn to work past their demons from the past. Wenderley needed to learn to forgive herself and Marcos needed to learn how to trust in someone when he believed that he needed to do everything himself. I just loved reading about Wenderely and Marcos together, how they helped bare each other’s burdens. Heart of the Crown is one of my favorites and it was simply amazing! I would definitely recommend this book! I think it would be best to read after the first two books, but you don't really have to. I can’t wait to see what else Currie writes!

First of all this book and whole series deserves like 10 starts!!! I loved this book! It was a great ending to the series. Although I wish the ending had lasted a little longer. Wenderley is such a wonderful girl. What amazes me is her heart. I could see myself in her with how big her heart is and how crazy her mind works. Oh how I relate! This is a wonderful “princess” romance story! I loved seeing how Wenderley came into her own in this book. She was a great support character in the previous books in this series but she is fantastic in this one. She fits in so well with the children yet she can rise to the formality of the royal adults. Prince Marcos had me a little confused at the beginning of the book. He was very careful to separate himself from others but he definitely needed to connect with his son more. I just finished the final book in the Daughters of Peverell series by Hannah Currie and it did not disappoint! I loved that Wenderley got her own book and love story. Story of hope I loved this story. Wenderley is so full of life and care for others. She gives fully of herself yet we can see and really feel with her how it is not easy to do. Both main characters (No spoilers) are working out how to live life and forgive themselves after making wrong choices. Hannah Currie handles this realistically showing that there is always hope and grace. A beautiful finally to the series.

More like a 4.5 I like to round up where I can! Seriously this was lovely. I loved the redemption arc from the first 2 books. I thought that was excellent, and incredibly thought provoking. The story was good. I think the strength of this book is the entire series.
