I'm a big fan of Rhonda Byrne. Her books The Secret and The Magic has helped me in many ways. And it still helps me. I was so excited when she announced this book release. It starts with her Secret-styled narration about how she "discovered" the "The Greatest Secret" when she was undergoing deep disappointment and negative emotion (guess she forgot what she wrote in The Secret and other books) and all hype and hoopla about the benefits of knowing it. Of course, it has LOTS of nice quotes from other authors and teachers. After all these, she reveals that The Greatest Secret is knowing that we're not the body and mind. We are Awareness - a different term for the Soul(from my understanding). That didn't make sense at all. Being a spiritual student, I have learnt a lot on this subject and definitely this isn't the right description for who we really are. In a paragraph Rhonda says, 'when thoughts stop, we become consciously aware of Awareness'. Wow! If awareness is who we really are, then, what's Consciousness? She lost me there. Such a disappointment! To put it short - after milking enough from "manifesting series", The Greatest Secret is an half-baked attempt by Rhonda Byrne to transition to spiritual writing. Sorry, Rhonda.

The Greatest Secret by Rhonda Byrne truly did feel like an awakening. If you've read The Secret by her, you should definitely go for this one. If not, I suggest going through The Secret first and then jumping onto this book. In the beginning, I felt like there was nothing new that I would find in this book but what came as a sweet surprise to me was the remembering and the eloquent examples that made everything so clear and put everything to perspective. There were so many real-life examples which offered so many key takeaways to me. Quotes from many, many famous people from around the world were used to iterate the same point in different ways. I like how Bryne structures her books so they were full of excerpts, pictures and descriptive texts that made it engaging and all the more easily understandable for someone who is a beginner to reading or to this knowledge. I've read her books so I can't help but compare how powerful her last chapters are and The Greatest Secret didn't disappoint! I am grateful for all the knowledge I have received through this very book. A must-read for Law of Attraction practitioners! Also I want to point out that this particular edition is gorgeous and handy at the same time! From the font to the page feel (Miniscule details, I know) everything was very tightly put together to make a wonderful book.

This book is reiterating the same message that a hundred other teachers said before, therefore is nothing new, there is no secret and no revelation.

For me, the simple, powerful idea presented was worth every penny and more. Indeed, this book is not just marketing, it is a treasure, a mirror that shows the best reflection and more. As I was reading tonight, I was genuinely introduced to myself, and I genuinely like what I see and saw. It is not perfect by any means, right down to "little accidents that happen", but I love me unconditionally. That is the most powerful gift that this book shows and gives to a person, their real self in full view. If it is positive, it is a gift. If it is negative, it is a curse. The greatest secret is our genuine selves activated fully, that is the rub of the genie, and if that is a sort of spoiler, so be it. But this book is worth reading and cherishing because of its simplicity and depth anyway.

Umm so there’s no doubt that THE SECRET has changed our lives. Before that first book, I had no idea about what is the law of attraction and manifestation. The first book really helped me through and enhanced my spiritual practice also, so when this one came out I started wondering what could they talk about now?? Mind it I have all the books which were released by Rhonda in the last ten years. All the others which came in between gave me nothing special, so I was curious about this one. I am kinda very disappointed by this book. It’s difficult for me to explain what this book was cos it was very difficult for me to understand hahaha.. It has a lot of spiritualism in it. I do meditate and I do have a spiritual guru whom I follow hence I was able to grasp some of it but dude for beginners, this will go right above your head. The concept talked about in this Book might be the truth, no doubt about it but I feel it’s very far fetched and it requires way much more efforts and understanding Spiritualism to actually be able to practice what’s said in this book. Also the practices, umm it was a huge let down. They have simply assumed that the reader will just know how to become one with the universe or become awareness. I practiced it myself and felt so disconnected that I can’t even fathom how will a non meditator will even understand this?? It didn’t work for me. Period. I was let down. I was disappointed.

Nothing new, nothing groundbreaking. Still a lovely book to listen to during walks. People, familiar with Vadim Zeland and Eckhart Tolle, will find it quite naive. Perfect for self-help literature beginners.

This book is filled with mind blowing concepts that need both pondering and practice. Feels like years of shaman/yogi experiences that are condensed and translated to be as clear as possible. Really greatful that it crossed my path.

The Greatest Secret by Rhonda Byrne, is her third book I am reading. The Secret and The Magic both I liked, even though they are not my usual genre. Since, I have read her other books, in the start it felt, similar, and something we all have spoken and read in numerous forms. But, slowly as I progressed in the book, I liked reminiscing the memories in the process, and understanding perspective of every situation. The book is a good read for people who love self discovery and self help books, but if you read all her books together you may feel a repetitiveness. So, I would suggest, this book if it's been a long time you read her books like me.There are quotes from famous people around the world, used to explain the different perspective and it was enlightening to know the same point in different views. A must read for non fiction, laws of attraction practitioners, psychology and philosophical study people. ✨✨✨ Thank you @harpercollinsin for this beautiful book and opportunity. 💙

What the hell... this book deserves a zero star! I was helping a friend to understand certain passages from the book (otherwise this book is too elementary for my spiritual path to buy in the first place). More good stuff from Rhonda Byrne! Although not near as good as her original, "The Secret," I like this better than her "in-between" works (The Magic, etc..). "The Greatest Secret" is simply that we are much more than a body and mind. She never really calls it a soul, but it's the same concept re-packaged. As with her other works, the book is full of quotes from many authors (who each get a short bio in the back). If nothing else, it's an excellent source to explore other authors. In "The Greatest Secret," she covers Awareness, which is essentially stepping out of your body and mind, and looking at it from the perspective of your energy source (soul, giant blob of energy, etc...). I've read about this before, and I think it ties in very closely with the concept of transcending in Transcendental Meditation. Because I've practiced TM for a few years, it wasn't difficult for me to be Aware as Byrne describes. I think it might be a bit harder for someone who wasn't already practicing similar things She tries to keep it very simple (as she did with "The Secret"), but I wonder if she's going too simple here. Overall, I really enjoyed the book a great deal. It's one I'll look back to in years to come.

This is a very simple explanation of a basic truth that we so easily miss. We are trained to look outward or to the intellect to solve our problems, but the solution to everything is right within us. It includes the best teachers in this field: Lester Levenson & Hale Dwoskin of the Sedona Method, the wonderful Rupert Spira, Frances Lucille and many others. So I never read the original novel "The Secret" however this book basically gave the gist of all concepts Byrne has brought light upon. Stopping to ask yourself "Am I aware?" and "Am I a feeling or am I experiencing a feeling?" are two notions that will stick with. me. Living a life filled with complete abundance can be achieved through fully recognizing who you are which is essentially energy. Something that has always scared me is the finality of death and how traumatic it is. This book has helped me realize that we are infinite beings and we never die because we are not only our physical bodies. A good practice is finding something to focus on and then broadening your perspective so it's very wide, like a camera lens, and to fully take in your surroundings. Basically, our entire life is just a dream. It is necessary to be able to differentiate the thoughts that go through our minds versus who we actually are. Lastly, it is imperative to be able to welcome anything negative with open arms and fully accept everything. Resisting something continues to reinforce it and the belief that you wish to suppress will not cease. That is why it is important to just realize that no matter what happens in your life, all is well, and you should notice that. Whenever I start to feel anxious I now ask myself why my feeble little body and mind are experiencing it and even though it is quite condescending, it works. Loving yourself and truly believing that you are a God in your own world makes everything better in your subjective opinion/view.

A great book. It is a synthesis of the core spiritual teachings of the most influential teachers of the last century, from Krishnamurti, Anthony De Mello, Yogananda, Eckhart Tolle, Ramana Maharshi, Hale Dwoskin, Lester Levenson, Alan Watts, Rupert Spira, Byron Katie, Deepak Chopra... Then she weaves the book with her own realizations in between. Indeed the book deserves the name, for what is expanded within it is in fact the greatest secret known to man. Rhonda Byrne voyages to the discovery of herself with the help of some highly realized souls (and undoubtedly she has self-realized much herself on her own journey as well). An insightful book for the journey of self-realization. P.S.: The only quip I would have is that although one could call that which we ultimately are Awareness (which Rhonda does in the book), I wouldn't say that that word really encompasses our totality well enough - something like Being or Source, or the Absolute in my view has a deeper feel to it - but that's just nitpicking and it's not words that matter here, since the depth of who we are and the Ultimate Reality cannot be put into human concepts (God is another such concept, but that word has been terribly misused throughout the centuries, so perhaps its best not to use it at this point, at least not for a while). Even so, this is not so much her issue, but with such teachings in general.

The Greatest Secret explores spirituality a step further as it evolves beyond the previous books and challenges ideologies about the soul, the Universe, and the very reason for our existence. If you are waiting for a massive revelation you might be disappointed. I wasn't blown away by it. Although I took some nice quotes from it, I found it repetitive. If there are any Friends fans, it was like listening to Joey preparing the wedding speech in places, just repeating the same thing in as many was as possible. All in all it was OK but I felt it lacked substance. If you are waiting for a massive revelation you might be disappointed. I wasn't blown away by it.
