Another volume, another day. Again a great translation. Frankly, if you're this far into this series, you're already invested enough to not let a review change your mind. Sadly, we have to wait another 77 days until the next volume is released. Another volume, another day. Again a great translation. Oh wow!! This was the best book yet! Mostly because of all the family drama part with the archduke! Pheww, Rozemyne was so very cook there hehehe. The only thing I was disappointed in was there no pov about the whole scene in the short stories 😔😔😔 I wanted someone, Karstedt actually to to narrate what happened when all this was going down. Speaking off, we have learnt a bit more about Ferdinand and Rozemyne also finding out how all that made him who he is today. And I also loved how she’s helping him stop piling on unnecessary work on himself even if its for her own selfish intentions haha

Like all the others I am always ending wanting more. I already preordered the next book. This one i think was a bit slower in the beginning than some of the others but once you start getting into her interactions with her new brother it picked up quick. I really enjoyed seeing Myne stand up for herself to her sibling, and how she takes full advantage of Ferdinand's evil villain persona lol. More bonding with her lady knight which I would love to see more of and of course my favorite's Benno and Like all the others I am always ending wanting more. I already preordered the next book. Definitely interesting learning more about the magic, economy and feybeasts of this world.

This was definitely a volume devoted to setting up events that will happen in later volumes, although it was still an enjoyable read and it continues the slow steady progress of the volumes before.

For all that she is a book worm, there is little that she is applying from the books she's reading to her real world. Has she been only reading the bible in her spare time? I'm beyond ready for a decent story arc besides looking for ingredients for her Devouring, expanding her printing business and dealing with the roles of being an archduke's daughter, a merchant and a high bishop all at the same time. It just feels too easy and abrupt for a girl who went into deep depression missing her family For all that she is a book worm, there is little that she is applying from the books she's reading to her real world. I still have to read the side stories. Unfortunately, past Wilfried discussions I wasn't that invested in the story, I kind of disliked how Rozemyne handled the situation in a way and that sometimes the tone was less serious than I would have liked relating this and also the Hasse case. Although I'm really happy that there has been more focus on Brigitte. I also enjoyed reading about the ruelle gathering. I still have to read the side stories. I would recommend this book to people passionate about reading. The artstyle is really cute and in the epilogue, there are usually short comics about what has happened in the story. Also in the epilogue, the readers get to see how other characters experience Rozemyne's decisions throughout the text. I find myself immersed in the text because I have laughed quite a few times at the funny situations. I would recommend this book to people passionate about reading. Boomworm keeps being a slow grind, but if you have already stuck to this book you have discover that this book is more about the interaction of the character rather than the general plotline which advances really slowly to be honest. It is great to see the growth of Ferdinand and Myne and the interactions between these 2 are just too precious. Anyway pretty good book overall.

A great continuation of the series. Once again shining in world building and character development with the first real clash between modern ethics and the realities of a strict class based society. Not much plot, but that should not surprise people by now. All in all, a great read, looking forward to the next part.

I absolutely love this series!! This book showed a lot of interesting things. I especially love the latter part where it gets action-packed. And the new characters are nice too. A bit worried now of both Rozemyne and Ferdinand though, they really both tend to overwork :( i can't wait to read more from this series!! I absolutely love this series!! I probably pursued this series beyond my tolerance. Regardless, it is not palatable to follow Myne as this sweat young girl is forced to plot to overthrow a mayor and then have him killed. WTF!

As High Bishop, she's responsible for handing out the annual blessings---and Ferdinand tacks on some additional collection duties. In addition, her plan to make a new orphanage in Haase has some unexpected complications . . . I like how these books deal so unflinchingly with the culture shock Myne experiences in this new world. Orphans seem like such a straightforward topic that Myne is baffled by the number of landmines she's triggered just by doing what makes sense to her. Why wouldn't the town (AND the orphans) be happy she's building a new orphanage? But the traditions within the culture aren't what she expected, and that makes the consequences something that she never would have imagined. It's the details like that which make this feel like a fully realized world of its own. Myne is now stuck with some of the nastier sides of the nobility she's entered into, and her only choice now is to find the least objectionable way to fulfill her new duties. Like always, though, there are a number of other things all going on at once. The restaurant is opening, the printing presses are advancing, and the season's turning marks the availability of the first of the many ingredients she'll need for a medicine to cure her mana blockage. Overall this remains a wonderful series, especially if you like deep worldbuilding. There's still plenty of humorous moments, like forcing the utterly spoiled Wilfried to try to live a day in her shoes (the fact that Ferdinand about has a stroke over it is just the cherry on top). I rate this book Highly Recommended. See my reviews and more at https://offtheshelfreviews.wordpress....
