When I begin a new series, I always try to give it a shot. First books are not always the best of the series and sometimes they are. With this series, Aries did pick up from Pisces and I felt that the storyline was much better written. However, it seemed to flounder towards the end. The ending wasn't really an ending and it left me wondering, "WTF happened?" Not sure if anyone else would feel this way, but that is my personal opinion on how the book made me feel. WOW what a fantabulous emotional second book! This had me enthralled from the very start and I just couldn’t put it down despite the laughter and the tears, oh the tears! I am so addicted to this kick ass witchy series and was not expecting the storyline to go the way it did but I think it made Alex stronger and a better person all round! Not so much with the bad guys this time round though they did pop in now and then and i did hold my breathe towards the end with the fire and I am so excited t WOW what a fantabulous emotional second book! This book was definitely more fun to read than the first one (Pisces), quite in keeping with the signs themselves. Aries is brash, self-absorbed and conceited. He's also hyper focused which causes him to recklessly blunder into a situation that hits him much harder than he had imagined. The back-and-forth with his twin flame also corresponds well to the sign's usual characteristics. I was a bit put off by the toxic masculinity being paraded around like it was completely okay. The back-and-forth with his twin flame also corresponds well to the sign's usual characteristics. I was a bit put off by the toxic masculinity being paraded around like it was completely okay. The males are all drunk, blustering, men about town who will hit on anything that moves (with the exception of Taurus who is treated with a condescending tolerance by Aries, Leo and Scorpio, the others never mentioned). At one point the book literally says that Aries would have pulled a girl to come home to be shared with his brothers. The women are depicted as weak, subservient, snivelly. Pisces is nothing more than an airconditioner to 'calm him down'. Cancer is a weak snowflake. Even the supposed twin flame is nothing more than a superficial Manic Pixie Dream Girl, showing up when Aries needs to be pampered, switching to damsel-in-distress when he needs to feel like a hero and vanishing when he wants to man-slut around. I realise that this is probably meant to be how each sign sees the others but even so this is an extremely uncharitable depiction of Aries men. With great difficulty, I set aside these problems in the story and say that it's an okay read otherwise. - I want to add that I am an a Cancer woman and nothing about my sign or gender implies that I would tolerate being talked down to or let a man treat me the way Aries treats Cancer and other women.

Aries is the second book in the Zodiac Twin Flame and, obviously, this story focuses on him. He is a firefighter that enjoys the women, although he has been with Natalie on and off again for years. The Zodiacs are still trying to find their kidnapped father, and it is after an event to do with that, that Aries runs into Natalie again and spends the night with her. The following day he is called into work as there is a bad fire, and it's all hands on deck. During the rescue, Aries is injured. Whilst this book did sort of carry on with the twin flame story, I felt it was more about Aries' recovery and mindset. The time line moved very quickly in places, which was a tad disturbing when reading. However, this book does continue the story moving along, with plenty of hints given for future pairings. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

This book, even though it is the 2nd in the series, grabbed me. I love the Zodiac theme running through this and the interplay between characters is fabulous! The characters are well rounded and I enjoyed the writing style very much! I plan to find book 1 and read that, when I have the chance and follow that up with the rest of this series and other books by this author! She has been added to my list of favourites! Do yourself the favour of checking this author and her books out today!

Wow, this 2nd book in the Twin Flame series “blew” me away! I am dating an Aries and boy was this pretty stop on. Loved being able to see his transformation. Also see how the original story line is also developing, so that it is not just about finding your true love. Bravo and off to the next one!

I received an ARC of this book so I really had no idea what to expect. The description doesn’t say exactly what happens to Alex to make him so defenseless, but it does say that Natalie works to get him back on his feet. I don’t know how to write this review without revealing that Alex loses both of his legs in an explosion while saving two women from a fire. Rachel Medhurst does a great job of tapping into Alex’s emotions—denial, anger, imagining what-ifs, fear, sadness, determination, hope—and I received an ARC of this book so I really had no idea what to expect. Rachel Medhurst does a great job of tapping into Alex’s emotions—denial, anger, imagining what-ifs, fear, sadness, determination, hope—and this emotion is what drives the book and makes it compelling. Alex is a womanizer who refuses to recognize that Natalie is his soul-match, until his accident forces him to confront what he has denied. To his surprise, he finds that women still find him attractive, not deterred by his lack of lower limbs, but he values Natalie in a way he hadn’t allowed himself to do in the past. He becomes determined to recover from his injury, then pursue Natalie and fulfill his destiny. The reader learns more about the other siblings because they play a bigger part in Alex’s story than they did in Penny’s. This is a reflection of the closer relationship that Alex has with each of them, even with Penny. Overall, I think it was a remarkable story of persistence and courage as well as dedication and loyalty. SPOILER: When Alex goes to visit his former coworkers, he’s told that there was not a third person in the building. “There hadn’t been anyone else in the building? I had lost my legs for nothing? I swallowed the rising heat, pushing the thought away until a later date.” He never revisited this thought.

5 Cranky Stars This is Book 2 in the Last Witch Coven Series. There are eight young witches who must find their soul match and bond. Once they bond, their magic will increase to help Earth magic's reawakening. Actually, you could read these books as stand alone novels but each story is an extension of the previous. The author shows eight books total. This is Alex's story of his search. Alex is an independent, soon to be nineteen year-old. He works as a fireman just a few blocks from home. He is also a natural born leader. Considered a "ladies man", he always returns to Natalie. When he has a tragic accident at work, his life must change drastically. Searching for their Dad and being betrayed by their mother has Alex giving up hope. A story of love, caring and determination. I highly recommend this book. I'm looking for book 3 now.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. This was an ever quicker read than the first one, Pisces. I felt like the mechanics of twin flames wasn't that much present or written in this one, it felt like it focused more on finding their missing father, and Aries getting better after losing both his legs- which was great for the plot, but it sort of made the ending where he proposed to Natalie a little unlikely. I mean, the whole running away thing, never harmonizing, and after 6 mos. of no contact, she says Yes to his marriage proposal? This was an ever quicker read than the first one, Pisces. The other Zodiac's seem interesting, probably the women more since they aren't "manwhores" (like they call themselves) or womanizers. Those seem like they would more interesting to read about.

Chasing Warlocks: The Last Witch Coven Book 2, my seventh read from author Rachel Medhurst and the second in The Last Witch Coven series. An ongoing, well-written tale of witches, warlocks, and suspense. "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." I look forward to reading more books in the series and more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018). I'm an Aries so I was interested in seeing what the author would do with this particular character, and I think she did a great job of weaving the Aries traits into the hero of this novel. To say Aries was a flawed human being would be an understatement. During the course of this book the character grew a lot. I also enjoyed the way the author dealt with Aries medical issues. Great research made it very interesting. For Alex Another couple stopped running. All 8 have to stop running, only 6 to go. Good reading though. Each member is so different with different abilities and personalities. I am enjoying getting to know each of them. Will read 3 asap.

This is the 2nd in The Last Witch Coven series. This was Alex’s story and boy did it put me thru the emotional ringer. I’m so happy he found his soul match and look forward to his siblings finding theirs. This has been a good series so far, I recommend checking it out.
