I have read quite a few of her books. Each one has been enjoyable. There are some great characters in each series. In this series the most outrageous character is a cross dressing ghost which is different but i like it

I suppose when you live in Florida, it is hard to get away from shipwrecks and lost treasures. Once again Ivy and Everette find themselves mixed up with treasure and murder. This time it's the daughter of the deceased who hires them, throwing suspicion on her step-mother. What follows is an interesting crash course on pirates, their treasure hiding, and current day treasure hunters. Surprisingly, Ivy's very "own" ghost Moria is able to help give information that turns out to be valuable. Although the summer sun is no longer beating down on us (at least in Illinois), reading about St. Augustine's hot and steamy weather had me turning on a fan! I love that kind of realism in books. In fact, the crick at the park looked like something was thrashing around below the water's surface... Darn those alligators in the book!

Treasure hunting can be hazardous to your health. Just ask Indiana Jones. Or perhaps ask our heroine who is investigating exactly why this particular treasure hunter ended up very much dead. This is book four of the series but it works fine as a standalone. All the essential bits are explained early on. This is cozy witch mystery which I am finding seems to a favorite genre for me. Although this works well as a standalone, having read the previous books really helps give a better enjoyment and understanding of the situation. Everett is fast accepting that ivy makes a good partner in his investigations and is not only coming round to the fact that she is a real asset, he is all for having her on board. Which makes it a dilemma for Ivy, having to divide her time between her beloved shop and working with Everett, both of which she enjoys and is good at. The ending is not exactly a cliff hanger, but just leaves you wanting more!

Another murder to solve but I loved the pirate treasure mystery. Ivy and Everett have to solve the murder of Charlie, a treasure hunter. He supposedly drowned by he was an experienced diver, and he had told people he had found Redbeards priate treasure. His daughter believes he was murdered for the treausure. Did he ever recover the treasure and if so where is it? And will we find out what happened to Ivy’s brother Harmon? Ivy teams up with Everette to find the killer of a treasure diver. With a hint of pirate treasure as motive, they uncover suspects, lies, and possible danger. Also, Harmon’s silence has Ivy and her family worried about his future. Back to the Brewing Board is a solid mystery, with a greater mystery that keeps me interested in the entire series. I especially liked the dramatic antics of Moira. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ivy and Everett have embarked upon a case that has brought out the worst of a person. The dynamics between Ivy and Everett have increased as they are truly working as partners. Although, Moira did not interact with others as much as she had in previous books, her antics still prove to be pivotal to the case. I'm hoping that the next book will solve the biggest mystery lingering about. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was quite the interesting mystery! I love anything to do with pirates and booty! It was a very difficult mystery to solve since there were no witnesses nor clues! I am impressed that Everette and Ivy managed to solve it! I am enjoying this series immensely! I look forward to the next book and finding out more regarding the secondary mystery...where is Harmon!
