Olivia is known as a bitch in certain circles, but she doesn't take it personally. No, in fact, she embraces the term because to her it means she is strong and takes no shit from anyone, especially men who underestimate her, men like her newest, terrible, assistant. But Cole, one of her clients (her favorite if she were pressed), doesn't appreciate anyone calling her that. To him, it's a sign of disrespect for a woman he has far more than client/agent like feelings for. Not that he's expressed those feelings. Not that he ever will... Until she takes a little trip to his ranch with the intent of telling him something her boss just has to let him know, and out come a whole lotta feelings that it seems both of them have had bottled up inside for years. Will this tough, take no prisoners woman allow this sweetheart of a cowboy into her heart where he really wants to be? Bitch is a decidedly sweet story, in direct contrast to its title. I love how adorable Cole is with Olivia, recognizing she needs not an aggressively alpha beast, but rather a more gentle approach to win over her heart. And I love that Olivia, while seemingly tough on the outside, is really just a super smart woman who's had to become hardened on the outside to succeed in the male dominated world she works in. It's definitely a case of opposites attract, and done really, really well. ARC via L. Woods PR for an honest review. Release Blitz (March 2nd): Live Through Books Blog. This book was short. Not novella short though. And it had some problems, the edition I read had some wrong words and there was one paragraph where the POV changed to third person? This book also told us a lot of what happened. We didn’t get to see the two interact a lot, they knew each other for years, so that was all there outside the story. I loved this story! It was a relatively quick read for me but had so much unexpected heart and emotion to it! Both Cole and Olivia were strong characters who already had a history in a past life (lol) so their dynamic wasn’t new. It made the quickness of the story more realistic and enjoyable for me. I did find one plot inconsistency when I read the story, but it really wasn’t something major, so I barely caught it. I enjoy this author’s voice and style and I’m looking forward to Cougar coming o I loved this story! It was a relatively quick read for me but had so much unexpected heart and emotion to it! Olivia has had to be strong and show no weakness to excel at her career, but it also makes her comes across as cold and unfeeling. She had just about given up finding a man who could not only challenge her but make her feel secure in him as well. Cole has left his hockey career in the past and is now a rancher. In life sometimes the greatest strength is allowing ourselves to be weak. Faber takes on stereotypes, romance and sexism in a hardcore kind of way. Olivia is a character that knows what she wants, is determined to get it and has no fear in her approach to succeed. That all changes when it comes to falling in love. Is she secure enough to find her vulnerable side when it comes to matters of the heart? Bitch is a contradiction that seems like an enigma, but makes perfect sense.

I was 😞 just ... so disappointed in this book? It kinda felt like false advertising - the blurb is all "I AM STRONG WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR" so I was looking forward to reading a kickass heroine with a strong sense of self who gets hers and has an awesome romance. Instead ... you get a heroine who is a giant fucking mess. She's insecure, ENTIRELY controlled by her past ... Has been running from love for - a decade? Olivia and Cole really are perfect for each other and have been dancing around emotions and I was 😞 just ... so disappointed in this book? Olivia and Cole really are perfect for each other and have been dancing around emotions and a relationship for ~a decade and while they aren't exactly friends to lovers ... I'm a huge fan of romances where the characters have history - good history. Which is definitely the case here. I will say around like 90% or something I skimmed a bit because yo - Olivia is a meeeeeeeeessssss. Messy mess mess. I didn't love how she was a brat just to be difficult especially when she was even basically spiting herself. Like... Bleh. HOWEVER - she does work through a lot of issues, she goes to therapy, which I loved - so probably a good part of this was also my mood/ a) didn't get what I was expecting b) the whole ... everything going on and emotions and stuff. D+ I'm definitely interested in reading the other books in this series and of course more Elise Faber - in fact I went back and read Dev and Becca's story after finishing this.

My first by this author and the book wasnt bad at all. I liked how misunderstood Olivia was and how she wasn't really the mean person everyone believed her to be. And Cole was great and hott. I am not normally a fan of insta-love but this book wasnt like the rest. I will say I didnt connect with how the characters went from zero to sixty. Like, they backed off for years then once they had the opportunity to be alone once they were attached at the hip and saying I love you. *constructive critism- My first by this author and the book wasnt bad at all. A good percentage of the book was two people talking and one person cutting the other off so maybe the author can try to limit that as much unless nobody else noticed then ignore me I am being anal LOL. Example: "What-" I bent and deposited her on the sleeping bag, (blah blah)" "Cole-" Ignoring her I leaned back on my heels (blah blah)" "It's-" (Blah blah) "No walking," I ordered. "I'm-" Regardless it was a good story line and the author had very little to no grammar errors.

I'm on the fence with this new book by Elise Faber. I loved both characters and how they interacted with each other. Olivia and Cole The title is illustrative. Yes, Olivia is a bitch. But it's a case of " barking dogs don't bite". She's bitchy because she is a very unsecure person. Is she able to go through her stuff to find stability in her heart to let Cole in ? It's a hart piece of work for her. Cole is adorable. He shows confidence and love. And he is patient. Olivia has done everything to succeed, no vulnerability on the outside. But inside she wants to be loved. I loved these opposites in their characters. Olivia and Cole The title is illustrative. This is a very special book, Olivia and Cole are always able to talk to each other so there's no misunderstanding in having old behaviors. I adored that. Elise Fabers writing style is always clear and on the point. I love the way she talks about problems throughout her books, that every reader knows but dont want to talk about.

What a book. I absolutely love this storyline. It is not only unique and different but has two amazing characters that you cant help but love. Olivia is hard working, takes no punches, quite the women. Most people call her a "bitch". But there is one person a client that wants her for her. The person she is on the inside. Cole enjoys living on his ranch. Nothing something that he could ever see Olivia doing . But he wants Olivia more than he wants anything. There is just something about her. The What a book. 3.5 stars I enjoyed this book and finished it in one sitting (about a 3 hour read) I liked both Olivia and Cole as characters. Olivia isn't that much of a bitch, she just speaks her mind and is ruthless in the business world, but that means she gets the job done and gets her clients great deals. Cole likes the simple things in life, simple food and escaping to his ranch to ride horses. Olivia has been Coles agent for years and always had the hots for him but being her client he was out of bounds. Wonderful sexy read A thoroughly delightful story. I loved Cole and Olivia. Cole was just the perfect gentle guy who knew how to handle Olivia and not put up with her seeming impenetrable walls.I Olivia was a tough agent to hockey players and ruled her work world with an iron fist, but in her life she fought demons and she wasn't letting anybody in. Thank goodness Cole could read her and knew how to gentle her like one of his horses, but that didn't mean the ride would be smooth. Wonderful sexy read A thoroughly delightful story.

I loved Olivia and Cole’s story! It was fantastic! Both Olivia and Cole were attracted to each other, but Cole was Olivia’s client and she wasn’t going to cross that line. Once he was no longer her client maybe they could be together. They were perfect together! Their chemistry was off the charts hot! Will Olivia let her guard down and give Cole a chance? I enjoyed this book very much and I think the Chauvinist Stories series is going to be fantastic!

Olivia has always been ruthless in her career as an agent but being the bitch only gets you so far and when she finds herself wanting the one person she can't have will the walls get stronger or come tumbling down? Cole has had a thing for Olivia for years but she was his agent and he knew she would never cross that line.. Now that he is retired he wants to give it a go but the walls she has up are so high he doesnt know if he can break them down or if she is willing to even give it a try Olivia has always been ruthless in her career as an agent but being the bitch only gets you so far and when she finds herself wanting the one person she can't have will the walls get stronger or come tumbling down? Straight up heat between these two right from the start. I loved that Olivia was shown as a take charge woman with a tough exterior. She has a softer side but doesn't show it to anyone because she doesn't want to be seen as weak. Cole does his best to break through her hard exterior in the hopes that she feels the same way he does. This was a fantastic story and a quick read, at least it went fast for me because I couldn't put it down. Straight up heat between these two right from the start. I really liked Cole and Olivia. I loved having a strong female character but also a strong male character too. It was a great balance. The story did seem to move at warp speed. They went from years of nothing to full press pretty much overnight. Nothing necessarily wrong with that just seemed a bit fast after so long of denying.

I thought that this was a very enjoyable read. Cole and Olivia were very likable characters and they made a great pairing. I loved their differences, their long buried attraction and the amazing chemistry they shared. I found the book easy to read and it held my attention well. Overall I thought that this was a very fun and emotional read. This is my candid, freely posted review.
