Callie had been married to a cruel man and now that he is dead she is on her way to become a mail order bride mother to his young daughter. She is a few months pregnant and while on the train trip to her groom she meets a man that turns out to be someone very special to her. Wayne is nothing like her previous husband because he is caring and loving and his daughter is a joy to be around. Loved this sweet mail order romance with a little twist in the story.

What a fantastic story! Callie has had a tough married life with an abusive man but now he is dead. She needs to leave Texas behind, the sooner the better. She is pregnant but not yet showing. She has arranged to be a mail-order bride to a rancher with a daughter. She gets desperate when the train breaks down on the way to Colorado. This book will keep you interested page after page! I highly recommend! I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.

Great characters that pull the reader in from the first page. This is story that just captivated me, I loved the plot. The plot was so different from most mail order books, it was fantastic! The author gives you time to fall in love with the characters before she throws a twist in that has you elated with this story. So much to love about this book! Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Wayne and Callie This is a sweet, tender and loving mail order bride story written by Marie Higgins. She has done an exceptional job with the plot and the characters. Callie is the daughter of one of the couples from the Nurses romance stories. This tale has adventure, excitement, murder and an escape into better times. You will enjoy discovering how Wayne and Callie find their happily ever after.

Callie & Wayne This is truly a wonderful, delightful story of overcoming the evils of a dark past, of losing faith in God and reclaiming that faith again. This story struck a chord in me as it all too closely mirrored a dark part of my past. Ms. Higgins is creative author and I look forward to reading more by her.

Such a lovely story that grabbed me from the start with a mystery of what happened to Callie's husband and how would the story turn out. Take this wonderful train ride to adventure and this story unfolds as secrets come out, but so does love... Absolutely a special story..

The author has penned a sweet heart warming story of Callie, a young widow who is heading West to become a mail order bride. She is pregnant and on the run and has kept her pregnancy a secret from her intended husband to be. On the train trip West she meets a stranger after the train breaks down. Be sure and read this story to find out what Callie is running from and who the stranger is. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it. This is a fun new series. I really felt for Callie and wanted her to find happiness so bad. There were some fun and hard twists in this story, but I won't say anymore because I really don't want to spoil it. I'll just say it was a fun quick read. This is a fun new series. Marie Higgins has such a way with characters and story lines. This story has fear, misunderstandings, humor and romance. I think all women much less mail order brides would love to meet someone like “Wayne”. I totally enjoyed this book.
