Ava is hiding from the Council in the Fae Realm. She sent a vague letter to her sisters so they would know she was okay but missed them. Tavlor, the head of the Council guard, was still hunting her. She was strongly attracted to him, felt connected, and wanted him – but he was the enemy. The Fae that had rescued her from the Council prison cell, Abigail, told her that her father, the High Warlock, and Tavlor were on her side, but she wasn’t sure she could believe that. The Fae that had rescued her from the Council prison cell, Abigail, told her that her father, the High Warlock, and Tavlor were on her side, but she wasn’t sure she could believe that. Her father hadn’t stood up for her at the sentencing. So she was on her own. Abigail now tells Ava to be very cautious so the Council doesn’t find out about her sisters. Her entire blood line through her mother is a threat to the Council’s power since they are all heirs to the High Warlock. If the Council finds Ava is not the only one, they will hunt her sisters too. Then Abigail took her to Mage Horlow to learn protection spells she was going to need. Tavlor came to the Fae realm to tell Ava the Council was upset at his failure to find her. So they have removed him from the search for her and instead put a bounty on her head! The money was so much that now she wouldn’t even be able to trust good people – no one could be trusted. And he felt that now, the only somewhat-safe place was to return to the realm her mother had created where no one could track or find her, where she would be totally isolated. He wanted her to hide, but that’s not the kind of person she is. She needs to find a way to exonerate herself to the Council. Will he help her find a way to fight for her birthright? This is very exciting as Ava and Tavlor grow closer and Ava feels she cannot hide away as her mother did. What will she decide to do? Grab your copy and follow the story as Ava must face down the Council and the extreme danger they have put her in.

This is such a good follow up from the first book in the series. The tension is just as high, suspense is ever present and Ava is just as loveable. Tons of action, a few revelations and some romantic interesr make this book hard to put down.

This series gets more exciting with each book. I hope her sisters can join her in the magic realm soon. I love how this book moves right along at a quick pace and yet supplies us with so much information. Love this.

Good It’s a really good sequel, but there were so many mistakes in the book. I expected something edited a little better.
