The “local” in these stories definitely added an extra star. Definitely recommend this book to anyone living in SD. Or anyone interested in staying in touch with the larger community. If you’re from San Diego AND you want to stay in touch with your community, well then you HAVE to read this book. I imagine the various stories in the book will impact people differently; they ranged 2-5 stars for me, but the importance of sharing and cataloguing local stories like this, alone, deserves some credit The “local” in these stories definitely added an extra star. By the way... the simple idea of rating someone’s personal story seems wrong, and that’s part of what makes this book so good. ❤️ Kudos to Pillars of the Community for putting this together.
