Alarmingly needing an update! This is a huge boost for the students of English literature who have to study Indian English literature as well. Though there are other titles by many other authors, this one by Mr Iyengar is certainly a legendary one, compared to many others. I will highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to study Indian English literature.

I would like to let the readers know that if you are looking for information about Indian English writing before 1980s, this is a solid book. However, for modern literature in India, you cannot rely on this one.
