It was good not great. I am a firm believer that every recipe should have at least one picture to accompany it. Several recipes did not follow this rule. The book had great tips for how to build your pantry & cooking tool kitchen arsenal. The one thing the book did a great job of is the step by step pictures accompanying some of the more complex recipes. All in all I found a few recipes that I'd like to try, the Pineapple Fried Rice (I have a mondo bag of pineapple in my freezer) & the Cucumber It was good not great. This book would be perfect for a recent college grad or young adult getting their first new place. Reviewed ebook ARC.

I get the concept. A cookbook for beginning cooks that can't cook much. I'm a seasoned cook, and only grabbed it to see if there were any new recipes I'd be interested in making. There were not. It was filled with stuff I would either never eat, or I already knew how to make. Pass. I get the concept. A cookbook for beginning cooks that can't cook much. I know that, as a 37 year old, I am likely not the target audience for this 😂 but I do think it’s a nice cookbook with lots of basics but some new stuff thrown in, too. I am very much looking forward to trying out the pumpkin enchilada and caramel apple upside down cake recipes.

Not as good as the other Tasty cookbooks.

I love watching the Tasty recipe videos online! I’m so excited that there’s a book with so many delicious recipes, and I can’t wait to try my hand at them! Perfect for beginner cooks!

3.5 stars rounded up This would be a great book for someone just starting out on their own and they know nothing about cooking. If you’re experienced at all you can skip this one.

I really like Tasty and I really liked this particular edition of Recipes for "New Adults". I really like Tasty and I really liked this particular edition of Recipes for "New Adults".

Fun, but not all of these recipes are favorites from childhood. No one ever cooked shrimp scampi when I was a kid, for instance. But there were some good ideas for recipes in here nonetheless.

This is good book to send off with a new college student. Simple, basic, and reasonably foolproof.
