HIGHLANDER'S DECEPTION: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This a great romance surrounded by feuds, alliances, spies, betrayal, death, loyalty and family. The story opens with a funeral and the five clans had gathered together to pay their respects. Suspicion was ripe and tension was high because no one knew who killed the cousin of Laird with the largest clan. The five-clan alliance had a problem. Two of the clans, Fenton and Brisbane were feuding with each other. In order to keep the alliance and stop the feuding, two political marriages were arranged. Laird Lachlan MacFarlane was to be wed to Sloane Fenton and Lachlan's sister Freya was to wed Gair Brisbane. This would protect the alliance from any future feuds. This book centers around Sloane and Lachlan. The story shared how hated Sloane was by Lachlan's clan. She was determined to win their respect. Her father, Errol Fenton was a snake and was trying to use Sloane to his advantage to stop the alliance from solidifying. However, Sloane had never been loved and now Lachlan and his family was showing her what it was to be loved. Sloane stood against her father and as a result, bad dangerous things started to happen. Everyone believed it was Laird Fenton behind everything but by the end of the story the truth came out and it was unexpected. This is an exciting read and I highly recommend it. HIGHLANDER'S UNTAMED LASS: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the beginning I was drawn into the story. There was a flurry of emotion, drama and action that led to an adventure for Ava our heroine. I really enjoyed reading this book. Although sheltered from the world, Ava's head was not as empty as a rock. She had wisdom, courage, fortitude, confidence, determination and much love to offer. Her betrothal to Ness Fenton terrified her. The Fenton name was feared for the wickedness of the prior laird Errol had been passed on to the new laird Ness. Ness had a fractured clan to save and repair. No one trusted him not to be like Errol. Errol had abused the people, the lands, anything and everything that would bring him pleasure or coin he took from the clan leaving them practically starving. The keep was in dire need of repairs it was uninhabitable. Ness was a good man. A fair and honest man. He would be a good laird for his people if only they would let him, trust him. This story is about loyalty, steadfastness, bravery and compassion. Ness had never met Ava, but the King had betrothed him and Ava came with a dowry so large it would see his clan through for several years. Ava feared Ness and ran away. But fate had other plans for her and Ness. We experience the struggles between Ava and Ness. Ness knew when he brought Ava back to Fenton lands, she would not be safe. He did not want to restrict her freedom but he had enemies and needed a trusted guard with her at all times. The story covers the dangers that did appear and how Ava unexpectedly went into action with no thought for her own safety. She thought only of the people even though she was not warmly welcomed. There was Cormac, who was an outspoken opponent of Ness and he was becoming a threat. Cormac wanted to be laird. But because Ava saved his two sisters from death, he formed a tentative truce with Ness. Then word came that the King's men were ambushed and the dowry stolen. Ness needed to keep Ava safe so against her will he sent her to his cousin Sloane. While there, Ava overheard a plot against Ness and took off in the night to be by his side. Good thing she did. The story really picks up here and there is a power struggle between Ness and Cormac. Who will the clan believe? Who will they choose to be their Laird? And what will become of Ava and Ness now that she rode straight into danger? An exciting story surely to satisfy the most ardent of highland story addicts. I do recommend this book. Steam level 🔥🔥🔥 HIGHLANDER'S DEVIOUS ALLY: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really enjoyed reading this story. The heroine, Ailith, is a warrioress, not in battle but in intelligence. She is no shrinking violet. Her father was a successful merchant and pasted down everything he knew to her. Now she has turned his enterprise into a fortune. She was tried and tested and came through with flying colors. She was betrothed to a laird named Jock. She knew he was not the best of men but he was not the most awful of them either. Her father setup up the betrothal based on a dark shameful secret. When Ailith met Laird Lyall Stevenson she never knew what it felt like to be attracted to a man as she did not love Jock but was content to marry him. But it was different with Lyall. He too felt the attraction between them. But they did nothing because of Jock. Lyall was a good laird. Just, kind and generous. He just had a hard time showing it. He also had a temper but was trying to work on it. When his mother passed away, Ailith seemed to fill the void she left. As he and Ailith got to know each other it was impossible to dismiss what they felt for each other but decided to leave it alone. When Jock's actions started to show his true malicious nature, she broke off the engagement. Lyall gave Ailith time to adjust and then proposed and she accepted. Meanwhile Jock stewed in his rage and decided he would force Ailith to marry him by any means possible. Little did everyone know there was a revenge plot against Jock afoot. It certainly surprised me when revealed. But what surprised me most were the people themselves that devoted years of their life for this revenge. This is quite an exciting journey and I do recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Highlander's Untamed Lass is an unforgettable Highland romance with a strong plot, remarkable emotions, unforgettable characters that brings this read together perfectly and will keep you captivated from the moment you begin the journey with Ness and Ava. All the trials and tribulations, drama, hope, uncertainty, adventure and sizzling romance make this one outstanding read that you won't want to miss. Highlander's Devious Ally is an unforgettable Highland romance with a strong plot that brings this read together perfectly. With a magnificent cast of characters who all have wonderful personalities but, with every good romance there must be a villain, and Adamina Young has created a dastardly villain. Laird Lyall and Ailith developed feelings for one another and you feel every emotion that they are feeling throughout their story and they become very endearing as the story progresses. The story runs with  intense emotions from despair and grief to love and ecstasy, plot twists, drama, kidnapping, curses, and revenge. Outstanding historical romance by Adamina Young.

I read this in an anthology, with this one the third of three. The first one had typos, but was well-written. In the second one, I didn't notice any typos because I was totally involved in the story. The third one- meh. I just couldn't get involved with the characters. Though I thought Ailith Galloway's character was intriguing, she (and the others) seemed so 2-dimentional. Maybe it was me, but it didn't hold my interest. Interesting books. The books were fun to read however your proofreader should be fired! As I was reading along I often had to re-read what I had been reading in order to get some sense out of it by inserting the correct grammar or spelling. The pronouns were a particular problem.

Sweet and Loving Stories For those who enjoy a simple girl meets man love stories without sexual content that adds nothing to the story of the characters involved, you'll enjoy this set. Not quite as much story details and depth of characters as there could be, but for love at first sight books, all 3 will be enjoyable reads for young and old alike.
