When she finds herself running to a demon for protection and revenge, she finds her life taking an unexpected and dangerous path. Throughout the book Felicity is wearing a magical disguise, but underneath the disguise, she's been wearing the same clothes for 3 years - why? Hopefully they've at least been washed (magically or something). Ends in a cliff-hanger. Wish there were more scenes between Felicity and Lucifer and the scenes had a little more tension than they do at present, maybe that comes in book 2. An ok read but not one that's left a strong impression, I did move on to book 2 straight after. Freebie on amazon.

4 You Work With Me Stars The Demon’s Witch Book One is the first book of this series by Odette C. Bell. I have such a love for Odette’s work. I practically devour everything I can get by her. (When I have the money to burn, that is.) The Demon’s Witch was such a weird and intriguing work. Felicity’s life is utter and total torture. She was graced with what appeared to be an amazing scholarship to the best magical school around, but then she actually arrives on the school grounds and experiences 4 You Work With Me Stars The Demon’s Witch Book One is the first book of this series by Odette C. She was graced with what appeared to be an amazing scholarship to the best magical school around, but then she actually arrives on the school grounds and experiences her teachers and classmates belittlement. This isn’t the safe haven and opportunity her grandmother praised it to be. That’s even before you get to the murders happening to low income students and the poorer staff, on school grounds. There’s only one bright light in her whole existence, Damien King the most popular and talented student in the whole school who just so happens to want her. Why is this leader of the pack choosing her to show off on his arm? What happens to send her running into the arms of a demon?

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Kind of boring and full of WTF. I don't get how felicity's grandmother could promise her to Lucifer without her consent, that makes no sense. Can I just promise people I don't like to Lucifer? Also, Felicity is wearing a magical disguise, but under the disguise, she's been wearing the same clothes for three years?? (Ick) If her life or soul or whatever already belongs to Lucifer, why is she able to make her own bargain which makes her even more powerful?? And, she's into him but not? Ok, rich peo Kind of boring and full of WTF. I don't get how felicity's grandmother could promise her to Lucifer without her consent, that makes no sense. Ok, rich people are assholes who get whatever they want, but but they can't do stuff to endanger OTHER rich assholes. Felicity is now SUPER powerful, but dumb? I mean she gets beat up a lot without her even noticing.

I liked it :) The magical school in this book is sinister and full of secrets. Kids who don't come from wealth and power are bullied and abused. But, that will change if Felicity gets her chance at revenge. Book One ends with Felicity back at Broadstone on a undercover mission. Things are just as she remembers, but also worse and she's gotta find out what's going on before more murders take place. The Demon's Witch 1 Holy shiznet!!! First I have to say, I hate cliffhangers, and this book has a big one. Ok, so the story started draggy. To much repeating as Felicity fled the school, but then it picked up and I flew through it. I can't wait to read the next story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up The Demon's Witch 1 Holy shiznet!!! Decent read, moves well This is a good story with lots of action and a detailed protagonist. There are some editing issues but they don't detract too much from the story line. Written well enough that I'll invest in the rest of the series, and read more of the author's work. Decent read, moves well This is a good story with lots of action and a detailed protagonist. A really good read Wow, I really liked this book. Lucifer doesn't seem to be a bad Demon. Felicity is working with him to find out why students and staff are being murdered at a magical school.
