This book is extraordinary. Olivia uses personal, relatable stories to write about hope & disappointment, helping the reader find a balance that allows for the latter to exist while fostering the tenacity — or the persistence to seek “something valued or desired” — for the former, hope, to remain, even when we may feel “soul-crushingly disappointed.” I have already cycled through the book several times, continuously gleaning something new from its pages. Deeper questions to ask yourself & activation steps have also been included, helping the reader to know how to move forward & practice what they’ve learned. I admire how Olivia has used what she has been through to create something beautiful. I’ve already witnessed this book changing perspectives & helping people I love in times of frustration. I believe it will continue to inspire so many more.

What a fantastic devotional - especially for seasons of disappointments and struggling for hope like 2020! Olivia reiterates throughout the whole book that God is not going to disappoint us even when the world does, and we can trust Him and take all our emotions to Him in order to find hope we when don't have much of it ourselves. The balance between her sharing snippets of her story, her focus on Scripture, and the daily questions and anthems is perfect for a devotional.
