Dominic was raised as the devil’s right-hand man, the rightful heir to the Luciano throne. Maria was raised as a princess, excluded from holding any power in the Caruso family. The sins of his father is his debt to pay. The only sin she wants him to pay for is one his family did not commit. In love with a dead man, can he get her to love his killer? Hell will freeze over before Dominic was raised as the devil’s right-hand man, the rightful heir to the Luciano throne. Maria was raised as a princess, excluded from holding any power in the Caruso family. The sins of his father is his debt to pay. KAYNE: Let's get into this first, I liked his character in the previous books and even in Maria's. I thought he was a good guy, he even was there for Elle, Chloe and Nero. The love triangle didn't work, wanna know why? Because I still don't hate Kayne, even after how the author tried to portray him in this book. I still think he and Maria had better chemistry. So Dom and Kayne have history leading up to them living in the same area and going to the same schools since they were in elementary. He was apparently a bully and was jealous of Dom and tried to pick fights with him. Kayne was also an undercover cop! Yup, that's why he was shot and killed.. not by Dom but by Lucca. His death scene.. so anticlimactic, it was just kind of glossed over. He goes for a jog after his night with Maria, Dom follows, starts an argument and asks him why he didn't tell Maria the truth and Kayne basically says trust me, it's not what it seems and then boom he's shot, dead.. No more mention except for later on we find out apparently Lucca was there too and was the one who pulled the trigger??? There was never even any proof or scenes showing Kayne scheming against the Caruso's as an undercover cop, were just supposed to accept it? Lucca then tells Maria the truth and shes's all pissy no one told her he was a cop, Lucca said she should have chosen the right man. She now says she was just in lust with Kayne, doesn't truly know what love is but yet this chick is still calling his phone and leaving voicemails at 77% on why did he betray her, she trusted him blah blah all for Dom to listen to since he has Kayne's phone. OH yeah, what the fuck did they do with the body? If he's supposed to be this threatening under cover cop, wouldn't there be some sort of consequences from law enforcement for his death? Especially since they shot him in a park? I mean Dom's still holding onto the man's phone. Just a mess. Makes no sense. I feel like Sarah has this plan for the series and knows how she wants it to be portrayed but maybe I'm not catching on or it's not being executed properly because I'm not buying what she is selling. I'm still so confused. MARIA: She is for sure not the bad ass she was portrayed in the beginning of the series. I am disappointed in her character. So we find out Maria never slept with Kayne the night before his death so she is still a virgin and now she's all over Dom trying to seduce him to sleep with her during the last half but he wants to wait til marriage and she doesn't want to get married. Does that sound like love? Dominic sees Maria and he just instantly loves her? They barely have any serious interaction. It all seemed like lust to me. There was zero buildup like Nero and Lucca had. Like I said I am not buying what Sarah is trying to sell. She finally tells Dominic she loves him at 98%.. There was zero mafia business going on. It was all Dominic trailing after Maria trying to get her to love him and marry him while Maria just wants to fuck him. He didn't come off as this alpha bad ass just a love sick fool constantly saying I love you while she's all like goodnight. I would of rather seen there been equal push and pull considering Maria hurt Dom by choosing Kayne but nope, once Kayne is out of the picture Dom is right back in it. ALSO, wanted to slit my throat the amount of times Dominic called Maria princess. Princess this Princess that literally almost every page!! And then towards the end AMO just casually shows up around the gang like he hasn't been MIA for the last couple books. The epilogues...were so out of place! They have kids..4 of them.. which is sweet and all but when has Sarah ever written an epilogue like that in her previous books? There is no rhythm or flow to her series. So what, is there now gonna be more books for Lucca and Nero to show their future? OVERALL, the book wasn't all bad, it was nice to see all the gang back together and the scenes with Maria and Lucca were great. I do love this world Sarah has created but it's just lacking. I know it's not easy to write a book, I don't think I could ever do it but maybe it would be beneficial to have beta readers or something..

This book drove me crazy - in the worst ways. I loved Lucca and the earlier books in the series. But the recent additions have all been sorely lacking, in terms of chemistry and plot. In this one, the first 20% is spent going over Dominic's childhood and history. He despised his father's cruelty his whole life ... only to fall for Maria (who he admits is an emotionless "monster"). Maria's attraction to Dominic was even more baffling. She is a bad*ss bitch, who would never respect a guy mooning after her the way Dominic did. In fact, her chemistry with Kayne was much more believable, because he never pandered to her ego. He was cool and aloof - a nice contrast to Maria's hot temper. And yet, he's swept under the rug in this book to (hastily) make way for Dominic. Lastly, there was almost no mafia action in this book. No real shoot-outs or threats. It read more like a YA romance novel, with everyone obsessing over their love interests. I miss the danger and elements of suspense in the earlier novels. It made it a lot more interesting.

Lucca is one of my favorite book from this series and now its Dominic. This story is about Maria who is a mafia princess and the daughter of Lucciano's biggest enemy where on the other hand Dominic is a Lucciano whose biggest enemy is his own father .... The boss of the mafia group. He had a rough childhood, taking all the beatings by his father, not having any friend because of his name, getting betrayed by the only person he ever trusted and the protecting his siblings from their fathers wrath Lucca is one of my favorite book from this series and now its Dominic. This story is about Maria who is a mafia princess and the daughter of Lucciano's biggest enemy where on the other hand Dominic is a Lucciano whose biggest enemy is his own father .... The boss of the mafia group. He had a rough childhood, taking all the beatings by his father, not having any friend because of his name, getting betrayed by the only person he ever trusted and the protecting his siblings from their fathers wrath from a very young age. Maria on the other hand lived a luxurious life but she was always surrounded by bodyguards and her fathers men, sheltering her from the mafia world and underestimating power to protect herself. She is the ice queen and he always listens to his heart. I really, really thought that I won't like this book because I used to think Maria is a spoiled princess but I was so wrong. So first of all, Dominic is one of my favorite now, he had a rough childhood and now you might think that made him a bad bitch but noooooo!! He has a I-don't- give-a-fuck attitude and also can do anything to protect the one he loves but he is just a great guy. I really don't know how to explain his character but i mean i absolutely love. Dominic. He is not scared of anyone and the things he went through to protect his siblings is so heartbreaking. He is really strong and his love for the ones he cares about is so Precious. I swear Lucca and Dominic has their own chemistry going on, i mean i love those two together more than i love them with their girls even tho they don't have those kinds of feelings for each other. I would read if there was a 100000 page book for Lucca and Dominic because the understanding between them is unique. Their fathers are enemies but Lucca and Dominic understands each other a lot. They might come out as like " i don't like you but i have to work with you" type but they have a bonding and i loved the scenes between them and how they always supported each others. They respect each other so fucking much...its amazing Maria is a bad bitch and I did relate to her and why she behaved the way she did. People in her life always looked at her as the daughter of the biggest mafia but no one saw her as who she was. I liked her too and how she never pushed herself to feel about Dominic at the begging and how she took time to find herself first. She didn't make decisions without thinking and always told how she felt. I liker Matthias and Cassius who are Dominic's brother, Cassius Is an enigma and I hope he gets a book. The sibling bonding between the Lussianos is the highlight of the book! I can't get over it Dominic is a gentleman and Maria is perfect for him. There were also glimpses of Lucca and Chole which I was desperate for Cuz they are My favorite couple. Ugh I love this book!! Its a must read!

HOLY F**CKING SHIT! This book was beautifully epic. One of my best reads ever! There is no other word to describe Dominic besides perfection. It was unputdownable. I couldn't get this book or read it fast enough. I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever and I feel so empty now that it's over. I wish I could read it for the first time again. I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever and I feel so empty now that it's over. I wish I could read it for the first time again. We've met Dominic in Lucca and from that moment I have been entranced. There was a desperation in how much I wanted to get to know the new Luciano boss. And I wanted him for our Mafia princess. When I discovered he was her potential love interest... I was over the moon. I was always rooting for them. Maria is the perfect heroine in my eyes. From book 1, I have been desperately waiting for her turn. Her chnace to find her forever. She was so badass that I instantly fell in love. And when she met Dominic... I knew it was game over. Maria has met the other half of her soul. The one person who could balance her. Calm her. Be her heart. Kayne was not that person. I need to be honest, I don't really remember much about Kayne. I wasn't rooting for him when we found out Maria had feelings for him but I loved the love triangle aspect of it. I needed to see Dominic jealous and let me tell you, it was beautiful. Dominic in love and wanting to claim his woman was a beautiful sight. Some people may have a problem with the repetition of scenes in Dominic that were in Maria but I loved them. I loved getting Dominic's POV during those scenes. My heart ached for this dark prince. He was raised by a monster but managed to be the sweetest and most geniune person there was. Being in this little boys head was heartbreaking. What I loved about this book was the fact that we saw how much and what effort Dominic went through to court Maria. He loved her so he showed her and told her every chance he got. It's so hard for me to choose between the characters Lucca and Dominic because Lucca is... just Lucca. I loved his obsession and coldness but Dominic seriously gave him a run for his money in trying to steal my heart. But based on the books and which one I loved more, I'm going to go with Dominic. There was more that was told. More that we got to see. We saw a courtship. We saw seduction. We saw affection. Dominic wooed his woman and he did it right. They were so adorable, goofy and sexy together. There was also more humor in this book. I loved every interaction Dominic had with Vincent. I laughed every single time. This book ended way too soon (although it was long). I was dreading getting to the end. I want more time with this power couple. It is definitely going to be one of my favorite reads of all time and I know I'm going to reread it as much as I did Lucca's or even more. I love them so hard and I cannot wait for what's more to come from this series so I can get glimpses of my favorite two men, Dominic and Lucca.

I'm a whore for Made Men and Dominic is now one of my bests reads of 2020. We get to read more about Dominic all throughout his life, as a son of a psycho, as a big brother, as a father, as a mf BOSS. Dominic was not like I expected and he took me by surprise and I'm not even mad about it. He was a total gentleman and a sweetheart but still a savage. He deserves the world and although I love Maria, I just feel like no one is good enough for him lo Dominic (Made Men#8) This will be short and simple. Now, Maria. This girl is hilarious af and I don't think she means to. Her sarcastic and bitchy behaviour is the best and had me cracking up at times. I love how her character development changed so much since Nero's book. She's a boss and a mother of four now, plus the wife of Dominic Luciano. WIN. VERDICT Dominic stole my heart and I love him so much... but Lucca Caruso with every book proves he's the mf boss and I just can't put anyone above him. (I'm a freak I know.) I think they're both tied tho for first place. We'll see with Lucca 2. AND BEFORE I GO... Dante Caruso Sir, fix your life. I want you to have an age gap mafia romance sir and find some young girl to put a smile on that face and take out the stick up your booty... and if you keep acting like an old fashion biotch... Lucca will probs murder you. FIVE BEAUTIFUL, SENTIMENTAL, OUT OF THIS WORLD,BEST OF 2020 STARS

I was so excited to read this because while I wasn't a fan of Maria's book, I thought this book was going to give us some closure and at least a little more plot development. Sadly it just didn't do much for me. I actually really really liked Dominic. The best parts of this book were where the author gives Dominic this deeply emotional back story. You fall in love with him. The problem for me in this book It kind of upsets me giving this one 2 stars because I had really high hopes for this one. Sadly it just didn't do much for me. I actually really really liked Dominic. The best parts of this book were where the author gives Dominic this deeply emotional back story. You fall in love with him. The problem for me in this book is actually Maria. I really tried to like her- but she came across as annoying. She talks like she's this heartless badass and instead just reads off the page like a spoiled brat/ well dressed ice princess. Don't get me wrong- there are aspects of her that I love, but, she's hyped up to be this badass heroine who can stand as an equal among men in a mafia family and...she just isn't that for me. At all. Her love for Dominic just wasn't believable to me. It felt forced and rushed. After everything Dominic had to endure growing up, I feel like Maria needed to be softer. I felt like she needed to be the one doing the chasing here- not Dominic. I did not buy the chemistry between these two at all. Maria and Kayne were a much better match in my opinion. ****Spoiler**** I like the idea of having Dominic and Lucca rule together and I also really like the idea of both families coming together. Until this book I have had no issues with the authors "mafia" story line and development. However this book kinda has me scratching my head a little bit. There was no real mafia action in this one. The story line is basically still at a dead end from the last books. We find out no real information. This book was basically just hyped up filler. I feel bad admitting it...but I'm losing interest in these characters. Storyline and plot development are seriously lacking. With that said, the whole Mafia thing is slightly less believable to me. You seriously want me to believe that Maria is going to make a good consigliere to Lucca? Sal..maybe even Nero would be better fits for this position. I'm just not buying this anymore. I want to give the second Lucca novel a chance. I really want to know who one shot is. I feel like Sal, Amo and Leo are all characters I'd really like to read about and see developed- but if more novels like this one make up the rest of the series I'm going to have to pass. My honest review.

Still wondering who one shot is These newer books are not as good as the first couple, that is unfortunate. Ok so Dominic basically is a big giant teddy bear. Maria what happened to her being a bada$$? Even Lucca the one who is suppose to be the meanest what too nice. Why would he admit to not being able to beat Dominic? This book did take forever which get stuff in life happens, however make sure the errors are fixed. This to me is more YA than anything.

I am so happy I continued with this series, I will be honest I was nervous to read this book as the last book Maria wasn’t what I had thought it was going to be at all and I thought Maria had lost what made her an amazing character. This book is really the best book of the series. There is a lot of answered questions especially about the Luciano family as well as Maria. There is a bit a recap from previous books however I found this time the recaps flowed amazing with the story line. We are able to see both characters grow and not forcibly trying to get the characters to fit with one another, as they are naturally perfect for one another. The secondary characters are all there and they continue their own stories as well within the bigger picture towards ruling Kansas City. This book is so good and I cannot wait to continue the series. It was worth the wait! If you read the other books in this series you don't want to miss this book it is the best. Dominic is definitely the best so far in the series! There is only one small-very slight "issue" I have and that is the ending of the book...it doesn't really end where I thought it would, which makes me wonder how the series will continue. As the Author Sarah has said previously that she plans to write for the other characters. I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will not give anymore detail. I am not saying the ending takes away from the book because it truly does not. I am just saying it finishes Dominic's and Maria's story line perfectly just the others who have not yet had their story told doesn't add. However, I believe the Author has a plan and I can't wait to see where it goes from here! Cannot wait for the next book! Again, this book deserves 5 starts!

Not good I'm not quite sure what took so long lots of stolen character traits, story lines that just go nowhere, probably the most uninteresting of all the storylines and has turned most characters ridiculous.

Maria has to let go her fear of commitment, in addition to overcoming many of the things that happen to her and her loved ones. I❤️that Dominic refuses to have sex with her and make her see that not all the men fall for her games, with his refusal he gives Maria what she always wanted: respect. When the book of Matthias, Salvatore, Leo and Cassius( this is the one I want to read the most)????? “Unfortunately, the terms you agreed to are off the table until I replace my father, but besides those”—Lucca flipped his Zippo open, the glow from the small flame illuminating his face as he lit the end of his cigarette—“what do you want? Think carefully, Dominic.” Lucca’s voice held a knowing warning. “You only get one choice.”Taking one deep breath, he chose. With the second, he staked his claim. “Maria.” It was an eye for an eye. Lucca took a hard hit as he stared him in the eyes. Then he stood, leaned forward, and put out his hand again. “Deal.” “What are you more scared of?” Lucca taunted in a haunting voice. “That you won’t be able to get Maria to fall in love with you … or that you might find out she’ll never love you back?” Dominic didn’t know how the sick bastard had figured it out, but since he had, he supposed there was no longer a point in hiding it. “I’ll get her to love me.” Going to the door, he opened it, making a promise to Lucca Caruso and the rest of the world as he declared one last thing. “Even if it’s the last fucking thing I do.” “You’ve haunted my dreams every night, Maria.” He knew she had the same dreams by the way she looked up at him and had yet to detest him. Dominic could see the pleading in her eyes, and he was going to give her a taste of what she wanted …. Leaning down, he brought his lips to her throat. Inhaling deeply, he smelled that sweet scent of vanilla up close, letting himself bathe in it for once, finally understanding why he had been so drawn to her scent—it held a little secret. A single drop of bourbon that you could only get straight from the source. “For weeks, I have dreamed of you …” Dominic let his lips hover over her skin, careful not to touch as he neared her lips. With his hand holding her face in place, he could feel the silent little push that she tried to make for their lips to meet, but he didn’t let them, keeping his a whisper away. “And you didn’t even give me a chance to show you what we could be.” Dominic let his lips dance along hers for a split-second. “Now …” This part is going to hurt me just as badly as you, he silently spoke before pulling away. Taking a step back, he finally had Maria Caruso right where every man in Kansas City wanted her. “… you will never know.” Giving her his back, he didn’t dare look back as he disappeared out of her door and her life for good, without remorse. “You just couldn’t see me fucking happy with Kayne, could you? You couldn’t handle that you lost, that I fell in love with him and not you.” “What you felt for Kayne wasn’t love, princess.” Dominic’s hazel eyes bore into hers, unafraid. “And you suppose I felt it for you?” She snickered evilly. After their dance, Maria had one fucking dream about the man standing before her and she was more interested if Dominic really did have the dimples when he smiled, over anything else that happened in that dream. “I never felt a thing for you, Dominic Luciano, and I never fucking will.” Pressing her pointy heel deeper into his tanned skin, she continued, “I won’t even feel hate for you when I get done killing you. You don’t even deserve that after what you’ve done. But the only thing I regret is ever thinking you could love me.” She lifted her eyes to the single drop of blood trickling down his neck as she came to a decision. “I’m not going to kill you. I want you to suffer with the thought that I’d rather love a dead man and be alone for the rest of my life than ever love you.” Lucca was right … Dominic was madly in love with her, and she completely missed it. Maybe it was because the idea of her and him ever being together was absolutely insane, considering who their fathers were. But the last thing she truly expected was for Dominic to wholeheartedly love her. She wrongly assumed that, because his last name was Luciano, his intentions would be to use her. Instead, she ended up in the arms of a man who had done exactly that. I’d rather love a dead man and be alone for the rest of my life than ever love you. “Prepare your men for the bad news.” Lucca slightly drew his brows together. “What news?” “That Maria Caruso is mine.” “You expect me to know how to fucking feel when you said it yourself—my heart is dead. Every time I’m around you, Dominic, my body screams at me to touch you, to choose you … but I never feel a single thing here.” Maria placed a shaky hand over where her heart was supposed to be. “But I did with Kayne.” In his eyes, she could see his hope turning to heartbreak all over again in a split-second, but she kept going. “But what I didn’t know was that the little twitch I felt in my cold, dead heart was trying to tell me he wasn’t the one for me.” Maria’s breaths were heavy from being forced to share her feelings that she didn’t want to admit, but she needed to finish. “I have never done anything with my heart. My gut has led me to the decisions I’ve made in my life, and I haven’t regretted a single fucking thing until Kayne. So, you and Lucca were right; I didn’t love him. But how the fuck was I supposed to know that?” she cried angrily up at him. Dominic stared back at her, stunned, not knowing what to say. “I came back to tell you what I should have done yesterday. To tell you I’m sorry, Dominic. I’m sorry for anything and everything I did to hurt you. For choosing Kayne, and especially the horrible things I said to you. You didn’t deserve that … but I don’t deserve this either.” Going to the bedroom door, she turned the lock before looking back at a dazed Dominic, needing to say one last thing as she opened the door. “This game we’re playing was fun at first, but I’m done.” “So …” Maria slowly moved her gaze from where they were tethered, up his body, until she got to his eyes. “Why exactly are you not fucking me right now?” Dominic smiled at her need at first, but it quickly disappeared, showing how serious he was. “Because I’m in love with you, princess—” Taking the hand he held, he brought it up to his lips, placing a light kiss on the back of her smooth flesh. “—and I want you to marry me.” I— Maria’s mind went blank, never thinking she would hear those words in her life. She even thought she had heard him wrong, that Dominic could not possibly be ser— “You’re being serious, aren’t you?” “Yes.” Turning her palm over, he started his own light tracings. “What do you want?” Maria’s eyes trailed down to his motion. “You spending the night at my place.”“I will”—Dominic sent shivers up her palm to her arm—“as you long as you understand I’m not going to have sex with you before we’re married.” It was time to try a different tactic. “Do you know how many men would die if I made them that offer?” “Tell me who they are, and I’ll make it happen, princess.” Maria was shocked at his words. “You would let me sleep with them?” “No.” He lifted his eyes from her palm to her hungry eyes. “I would help them die.” It’s a trap. This is a motherfucking, goddamn trap, and he had let Maria walk him right into it—a strip club with his significant other, no less. Only, he wasn’t with just any significant other; he was with Maria fucking shove-a-heel-into-your-neck-but-it’s-okay-’cause-I’m-pretty Caruso. “I want you to promise me, Dominic. I want you to swear on your life that you meant it when you said I could do anything, be anything if I marry you.” Making his oath again, he could only hope this time she would believe him without a shadow of a doubt. “I swear to you, Maria, on everything I love, and on my life, that I meant those words and any other words I have told you.” “I’m scared …,” she whispered, squeezing his jacket that she had yet to hand over. “I’m scared of going against everything I believe in, that it might change me.” Maria took a shuddering breath. “But most importantly, I’m scared I will end up hurting you.” “Maria, when I tell you I love you, I don’t expect to hear those words back, not from the little girl who couldn’t even cry at her mother’s funeral. All I know is that, deep down, you care for me, and that will always be good enough. I am only asking for you to take a chance on me.”

Have you ever asked yourself is there such a thing as a  perfect novel...or one close to being a perfect novel?  One that would make you watch the author break your heart in a million pieces and then gently and with utmost care place it back together piece by piece?  A book you can tell the author put her whole heart into writing it? I have never read a novel, or a series, where I have wanted to live in the fictional story created...until this book.  This was a book that I didn't know I needed and wanted in my life until I read it.  This is a book that now that I have it...I would be missing a part of me if it ever just disappeared. I've heard the phrase readers live a thousand lives because they read.  I just lived a lifetime with this book and I can't help craving more of this world but also feeling that this book, the more I read it, the more I will see the beautifully woven storyline and world Sarah has created. If I can leave you with one important point.  If you haven't read this amazingly talented author, you should know that you are missing out on something you will never understand because it would be like thinking of the Mona Lisa but not knowing what you didn't know of the artwork until you actually saw it, and saw the details of the painting. Two words you need to know : READ THIS! Please make sure you start at the beginning though because it is a masterpiece that is woven so beautiful you only spot the intricate details once you've read all of the books and then keep reading them again and again to spot even more details you might have missed. So grab a blanket, hot cocoa, and light a fire because you ARE going to love this adventure and lifetime you read. Probably the best thing to happen during 2020 was this book getting published.  I have been reading this series for years, and yes, it does hold an extremely special place in my heart, but I truly feel you need to read the series to understand why I have said what I've said. Talented and amazing things need to be said for this author and if I changed even one of your minds into reading this and to pick up this author. My job has been completed. So I'm gonna imagine I just did convince you and say...you are most welcome! 😉

Honestly never wanted this book to end. I laughed and cried. Maria and Dominic together are the best. The growth that their relationship goes through. And the relationship Maria has with the other characters. AND THE MOMENT WITH LUCCA. I honestly cannot get enough of this series! Okay so here’s an edit now that I’ve read it for a second time: To be honest, this book gets better and better with every read. The emotions that Sarah Brianne is able to convey through this whole series is simply amazing. The relationships between the characters and especially the ones Maria gains with Dominic’s family, words cannot express. The pure emotion that is showed through what Dominic has gone through, honestly breaks my heart. The amount of times I smiled, cried and laughed with the series and especially this book... In the short time I have found out this series I have read it multiple times...and I will always keep going back to it. It’s become an addiction to me and I will never be able to walk away from the series. This is a series I highly recommend to people to read. The one thing I regret is not finding out about this series before this year and I only picked it up on the recommendation of a very good friend. The time I missed being able to read and love this series has been short but it’s been a wild ride. I fell in love with Lucca and then Drago through their books, now that I have Dominic’s book he’s gained a special place in my heart. I cannot wait to see what the future brings for all of these characters. I seriously cannot wait to see what comes out of this woman’s brain next. She is simply amazing in what she is able to convey through her writing.

It's been a while since I have enjoyed a book by this author, to be honest. How Dom never grew up bitter or resentful towards his life is unreal, the way Lucifer treated Dom as well as the other kids was monstrous. Dom put up with it all for his siblings. At the tender age of 5 he was more of a father to all his siblings, he was their one and only protector. Those kids wouldn't have survived without Dominic at their side. Now on to Maria. The sassy, spoiled Caruso princess! Gah, did I love her antics! Boy was the sexual tension off the charts with these two! I love how Dominic didn't give an inch *no pun intended* when it came to Maria seducing him at every turn. I could go on and on about all the things I absolutely loved about this book, but I don't want to spoil it for the rest of y'all. The only con is I wish it were much longer! Yes, I know it's long but I'm greedy for more. Dominic and Maria have now surpassed Lucca and Chloe as my favorite made men couple. P.S.- The Epilogue's are perfection! Will be waiting patiently for the next book :)

I have been reading “Made Men” since the first book appeared and have been following since then. I absolutely love the plot and some characters are freaking incredible! No worth the wait I haven’t enjoyed the last two book of this series as I feel that they weren’t full books . The author stated this was her longest book yet that’s only because the first half is all flash backs to things we already knew. The storyline is to fast paced. It’s like every other book in the series hate then love. I won’t be continuing this series. Only positive it was free on KU

I loved this book. It was very long and it kinda felt more like 2 books put together, Dom’s past and his present. I really liked seeing Dom grow up, I loved seeing him with his siblings and I loved that he seemed to be a pretty good person. I do wish though that we sore a bit more of his life in the mafia. It was rarely mentioned at all. You could almost forget that he was part of it at all. Which I gotta admit I was kinda sad about because that’s part of the reason to read this series. Like there was honestly parts were I wondered why he was considered bad at all cos he really wasn’t, we weren’t even shown his ‘darker side’ or anything like that. Everyone before him seemed to have like a moment of showing their true colours, but Dom did not. I thought this was especially weird considering that he was meant to come up against Lucca. I did love Dom tho. I loved that he was just so confident as a person. And I loved that he loved Maria unconditionally without trying to change her at all. I also wish I’d gotten too see more of her bad side too tbh. But again doesn’t really matter. I enjoyed the book nonetheless. I am curious as to where the second part of this book will go, as the epilogue had them ride off into the sunset, and was a really nice conclusion. I figure the book will either take place after the epilogue or pretty much where it left off before the epilogue-which will be a little sad and would probably ruin some of the suspense of the next book. I also have no idea who One-Shot could be. The book pretty much picks up after the events of Maria (at like the half way mark) but One-Shot isn’t mentioned again. No one even gets shot by him in this book, it’s almost as if he doesn’t exist anymore. But I also feel like it’ll all become known in the next book. I also feel like One-Shot is someone we know but I couldn’t tell you who. The only info we seem to have is that it seems to be a Caruso. Overall I loved watching Maria fall for Dom. I will also admit that I found it a little weird that Dom seemed to fall for her at first sight much like Lucca did for Chloe, which I feel should have been a little out of character for him. I feel like Dom would have been more the type to just fall for her fairly quickly but like with a definite progression, like as he learns she a little psycho and is like I’m into it and so on. Idk it would have been nice to watch that rather than the almost cop out of him falling for her at first sight, when she didn’t feel anything like the same at all for him. Maybe it’s just me but I think I like the idea of love at first sight to be mutual. Like even Chloe, while scared of Lucca still felt a weird connection to him. That was the other thing. Maria having chosen Kayne just made me sad and mad, especially with how he died and how that was oh-so neatly tied up with his death. Idk I feel like there should have been more of a process between her apparently being in love with him. Like why did she even chose him when she didn’t even seem to like him in this one. And got over him literally with the snap of her fingers. The Chloe, Lucca, and Amo triangle was done waaaayyyyy better. It was honestly a little like whiplash Maria’s feelings for Dom to Kayne to back to Dom. Everything after the whole Kayne mess tho was pretty much perfection. Their relationship was pretty solid and they fit well together. But like I want a scene of them being bad together, you know. Like she’s the first one that isn’t an ‘angel’ and this is like the first book with 0 fights. Like this book should have been written in blood. Anyways those will be the hopes I have for the second part of Dom and Maria’s story. I also hope that they won’t be the end of the series, cos the epilogue made it seem so final. And like I want Matthias and Leo to have their happily ever after too. And obviously weddings and babies.

The editing was shit. There was no flow. It felt like the author strung along a bunch of words and made sentences and then strung those sentences to make a book. The pace dragged. It was all flashbacks that had mostly already been given to us and served no purpose. Moreover most of these flashbacks just made Dominic seem more pitiful and I got tired. It wasnt much help how the rest of the book was pretty much the same helpless, scared man. Were we supposed to sympathize with Dom more than we already did? (that wasn't possible since I already liked him better than all the Carusos) I loved Lucca in his own book but separately? I FUCKING HATE HIM. He was honestly just a rich white boy with too much privilege. He's not gone through any of the hardships the Lucianos or even the females of Caruso family have gone through but he went about life like someone killed his puppy everyday. It was fine till Vincent but for god's sake leave after your book is done. I have outgrown his goth phase and do not have any interest in him whatsoever. I'm even pissed at this Cassius boy because of his similarities to Lucca. The author ruined Angel for me because she kept shoving Lucca down our throats and then gave us a lackluster Drago and now she destroyed Maria's story to build Lucca a bigger throne. She builds Lucca up so much that everyone else seems dumb in comparison. She made Maria DUMB. MARIA The injustice she did to Maria's character is another story altogether. First of all, Maria's not a psychopath idc how many times she(or everyone) said she was. She was basic. A basic fl who couldn't stand her ground and actually make the boys regret underestimating her. Secondly, I don't get why she was supposed to feel guilty or beg forgiveness to everyone just because she loved(and she did love) a cop unknowingly. Yes, it made her dumb (which wasn't her fault but more because of the author's obsession with Lucca) but I don't at all think that if Lake, Elle and most of all Chloe had been a cop it would matter much to the MLs. UNPOPULAR OPINION: Ik no one would agree but I honestly want Lucca to die now. Just kill him off before he meddles with any other couples (are there even any left?) and use your imagination to give them more unique stories, Sarah. There was no chemistry, no build up just words. I have no idea how, why and when Dominic started loving Maria and I don't appreciate how he did the bare minimum in the beginning and then guilt tripped Maria to run after him because she had "rejected" him?(Bitch where? You didn't even make a move) I love and respect Dominic as a character but as Maria's love interest he was utterly lacking. Dominic had more chemistry with Lucca(-_-) than with Maria. And the thing is, these are all amazing fucking characters. The Luciano family is so much more deserving, so much deeper than the Caruso family but somehow the author has managed to fuck up all the Luciano books. They are such deserving amazing people but it felt like their love interests were just washed out shells. This book and series has become so confusing and dissapointing. I'm sad...
