Wonderful! Among my few read again and again series. I read the individual books originally. Joanna Campell Slan did not have the rights to the early ones when I discover Kiki Lowenstein, so I read them out of order. I fell in love with the series immediately and was thrilled when I finally got to read the first books. It would be best to read them in sequence because the series follows important milestones in Kiki’s life. Watching Kiki's personal growth and the evolution of her relationships is Wonderful! Watching Kiki's personal growth and the evolution of her relationships is my favorite part of the series; there are such wonderful characters and we meet new ones as the series builds. Throughout the series Ms. Slan maintains the high quality of character and plot that is the hallmark of all of her works. The mysteries are really well plotted but it will always be the great characters that keep me coming back.

Great read for everyone. Love Kiki I'm a scrapbook novice and a mystery lover. What an excellent series for both my interests. The stories touch on social issues and make you aware of what needs to be done to help each other. Great read for everyone. Love Kiki I'm a scrapbook novice and a mystery lover. Book 1 was pretty good. By the end of book 4 I gave up reading. What happened to Martin? Plot problems and stumbling over typos and misused words got to be too much to put up with for so-so stories. The best thing I can say for this series is that I got it for free. I would expect that along the way to becoming a newspaper reporter Ms. Slan would have learned the fine art of proofreading and the need for editing ...maybe she didn't and that's why she she left that profession? Not going to lie, Kike took some getting used to. Watching her blossom from that helpless stay at home spouse who never worked a day in her life to a very hard working single mom barely making ends meet but damned determined to take care of her daughter, after the death of her husband, was both inspiring and frustrating. Some people took advantage of her, and others helped her, but not always from the goodness of their hearts. She struggled not only financially, but emotionally and watching her navigate through that was tough. I applauded her dedication to doing what was best for her daughter, but sometimes she went a little extreme, but given Anya was pretty much her whole world, I could understand most of it. The hardest thing was watching her grow more confident, but also irresponsible as it relates to her own safety. Needing to solve her husband's murder, and helping friends and family is great, but realistically, not something a single mom should be risking to the extent she always did. And strangely, her inability to understand where Detweiler was coming from as it relates to doing the right thing where his marriage was concerned bothered me. At times, I think she was too hard on him and using her husband's actions against him. And then there was the other side of that coin that made me wish he wasn't trying to do the right thing and just kicked Brenda to the curb when she came back after walking out on him. Overall, I liked him. And lucky for Kiki, she had some good friends in Clancy, Laurel, Mert and even Johnny. When things got tough, they were there to help her as much as they could. The way the series ended was concerning, but admittedly, pulled you in. I could see how the author based her storylines on certain sensitive topics, and although I may not have liked where it went, I still liked the stories in general and the different characters.

Enjoyable cozy mystery box set I really liked reading this box set of cozy mysteries. I liked that there were Jewish aspects included in these stories, because that doesn't happen often and there were animals involved too. I would recommend this box set to anyone who enjoys reading cozy mysteries. Enjoyable cozy mystery box set I really liked reading this box set of cozy mysteries. Well written and exciting As someone who lived thirty years in St Louis, I loved the way the town is accurately represented. Joanne helps the reader deal with serious issues by having us live our way through them with Kiki. I really wish there were a Time in a Bottle, I’d probably hang out there a lot!

Actually I'd give them a 3 1/2. I liked these, but there are A LOT of grammatical errors and it's very obvious that nobody beta read them. If I'd listed them singly, I wouldn't be 6 books behind in my reading goal... The last one left you hanging because you didn't know how it played out. I will probably read the next one because I want to know what happened to Johnny. Actually I'd give them a 3 1/2. Good books Got as a box set and enjoyed the first six, glad that I went ahead and got the second set as well, because I can't wait to see how King's story ends. As a scrapbooker myself I really want to stop by her store and join her in one of her crops, I wish the books had pictures of her art. Karma? Very interesting series, although you could easily read any of them on its own. Author gets you involved in the welfare of the characters tying their problems with contemporary issues that many people face. Strong support network of friends and coworkers, sharing talents and experiences, a true female empowerment.

Kindle unlimited but got on freebie day Unbelievable, keystone cop carp thrown in with so called characters that are unlikable and not memorable further mixed with unnecessary and split flashbacks that only serve to make the lack of coherent so called storyline more ridiculous, unlikable, redundant, unnecessary, long winded, shallow and boring.

Good stories I read through all six stories, which goes to show that I really enjoyed them. The last one got a little unbelievable, since they finally catch up with a guy the police have been looking for through four stories only to decide they didn't have enough to arrest him.
