Loved it! A brilliantly written story set in Cornwall; spanning from the early 20th century to the present day. Three generations of women, each with their own story to tell, and some secrets which have been hidden for decades. This is a very emotional read, and one I cannot recommend highly enough.

Strange book I love Ferns books but this had me puzzled...yes I read it all and enjoyed it but I was so confused by who was who...there were too many characters going back in time...it took me until the last 3 pages to work it out... Not the greatest book this time...sorry to say...

DAUGHTERS OF CORNWALL I read this book after logging on to take part in the ‘Gliterary Lunch with Fern Britton’, during lock-down. It is a wonderful read and I deliberately read it slowly as I just didn’t want it to end! I shall be reading Fern’s other books now as I loved her way of writing, it is warm and witty and homely.
Mel Garraghan-Moore –
Strong women who made through wars. Set during both world wars and in present day, some of the harrowing details of conflict are laid bare. Family secrets that last for generations of a family that had to learn to pull together through some traumatic times. Generations of women of one Cornish family who stood for what they believed in and stood up for themselves.

This is the first Fern Britton book of fiction that I have read, and I Adored it. I loved the characters, the timeline and the story was just wonderful. I’m not going to give any spoilers, but if you like Kate Morton or lucinder Riley then you will love this. I couldn’t put it down!

Disappointing Love Fern’s books, but this was disjointed and frankly I was left feeling a sense of confusion. Never before have I followed one of her stories and not concentrated on it.
