I received a free digital copy of this collection through a giveaway hosted on GoodReads. Once again, Nicolau has wowed me with his words. Paying homage to many jazz greats while also using carefully choses words, rhythms, and arrangement, one could easily read a poem aloud, then close their eyes to find themselves transported, at least for the moment, to the height of the genre's era, with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald or Duke Ellington about to take the stage. I don't listen to jazz often, but I do appreciate it when I do, and thus collection makes me want to relax to some now. I highly recommend reading Nicolau's work, and perhaps suggest a bit of mood music in the background as you do.

Well written and interesting This collection of poems is very well written and I really enjoyed it. The way the text is laid out is also an artform. The imagery is great and completely captivates the reader. A very unique collection of poems. Great for any music lover too.

Evocative of nights spent listening to jazz This was a book I won in a Goodreads giveaway. I love jazz and I love poetry. These poems made remember what it felt like to hear live music, and the people and the feeling when I first started appreciating the masters
