Can’t get enough!! I just can’t get enough of this series, this book was excellent as were the ones before it. The characters come off the pages, their personalities all so different, yet larger than life. They certainly know how to live the good life. You can expect lots of falling in love, fighting, good hearted banter, love, some torture. Let’s say a bit of everything. The sex scenes are quite hot. There’s swearing, so if you don’t like these things, beware. I’m off to start my next book, sorry Can’t get enough!! I am glad I am reading this through kindle unlimited as it would have pissed me off to not have any closure in any of these books. It just runs on and on.

Lucas Series Summary: From the beginning of time there have been near immortal beings who have molded humanity, been the object of worship but who as a race almost destroyed each other and human civilization. Now only two Gods are left both sworn enemies: The followers of Morta, the Doomers and the descendants of the Goddess Annani. Lucas continues her unique addicting series with Amanda and Dalhu’s obstacle filled love story. It’s intense and at times dark but she always instills enough light for hope. Her dialogue is fast paced and her plot is engaging and interesting giving a freshness to this often stale genre. Her world building is unique and her characters may be ancient but surround themselves with all the 21st century gadgets plus her hints to future stories will lure readers (well this reader anyway) into purchasing the next set of books in the series. Books 4 through 6 are Amanda and Dalhu’s story and must be read in order. In these installations readers will learn more about the history of these two remaining clans of immortals, will get more intimate with the Goddess and her family and will eventually get hints about what’s to come. The audible edition is once again left in the capable voice of Charles Lawrence’s deep, sexy, satisfying baritone who expertly gives readers a deeper experience by intoning the emotions vocally and does a fantastic job portraying each and every character, human, immortal, male and female. SUMMARY: Amanda is the daughter of the last remaining female deity, Annani descendant from a race who ages ago were almost eradicated by civil war. She’s the youngest and for centuries has been known as the “party princess” but has redeemed herself lately when she became a scientist with the sole purpose of finding dormant immortals and save her race by providing them with mates. When she’s abducted by a member of her clan’s mortal enemy, the doomers, she’s afraid of death or worse. But that’s not what her captor has in mind at all. Dalhu has long known the doomers philosophy is wrong and when he sees the photograph of a female immortal of his clan’s enemy he’s smitten. When he sees her in person he knows she’s his destiny. Now only if he can figure a way to keep her.

Yes, I read another in this series. Clearly, I like it. The characters are well-developed, the story moves along quickly, and I want to know what happens next. Plus, as I've mentioned before, there's paranormal stuff and sex. So. You don't always have to read a highbrow novel, you know?! :)

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. 4 stars. Okay... This series is addictive even if it is frustrating that no books is self contained. You have to keep reading to get the information IT Lucas has been teasing you with since the beginning. Amanda, the daughter of a goddess, was kidnapped by a member of the opposition, by Dalhu (think a montegue and capulet situation but with more years and more confusion). Dalhu has waited his whole life for a woman like Amanda, so he had decided to leave his past behind and take her with him whe 4 stars. Okay... Amanda, the daughter of a goddess, was kidnapped by a member of the opposition, by Dalhu (think a montegue and capulet situation but with more years and more confusion). Dalhu has waited his whole life for a woman like Amanda, so he had decided to leave his past behind and take her with him when the opportunity presented itself. He falls head over heels for the demigod. Whilst Amanda has developed strong feelings for Dalhu, a man who was responsible for the death of her nephew, she can't let go of the tragedy, or his involvement in it. Dalhu is the captive and Amanda is free but can she bring herself to be with him? Can she convince anyone else that Dalhu is no longer a threat to them or their way of life? And if so, can she let herself love a man who betrayed her family so? This is so far my favourite story. Filled with difficult choices and messy family situations it shows that not all love stories are simple. Not all love is without heartbreak but if someone's heart is pure they are worth it. And sometimes someone who has made big mistakes in their past has to pay for them even if that means embracing pain. I must admit whilst the continued story is clever, fun, sexy, challenging and interesting it also is frustrating as hell because the story is continually ongoing. It's not a trilogy is the traditional sense and it's not a series with stand alone books. Oh no, this book is basically a continuation of where the last book left off. And it means you are continually asking questions that you don't get answers to unless you keep reading. I mean it's clever in some ways but so frustrating in others. Either way I begrudgingly admit I can't stop reading them.

I love this book and this series... ...but it feels like there is never a conclusion to the books. Like a TV soap opera...tune in next week to see what happens. I actually love the overarching story. I. T. Lucas is an excellent writer (from what I've read so far)...the world-building is awesome and the character development is excellent. We should all experience that kind of love in our lives! Anandur is by far my favorite! I love his sense of humor! (You only have to read the bachelor party scene to see what I mean !). He is sort of the comic relief in all of the stories thus far. This is turning out to be one of the best series I've read so far. I think I'd like it better if there was some conclusion at the end of each story, instead of "the end for now," but I'm so hooked, I'm pretty sure I'll be reading this one until the end.

Some very inaccurate things, but overall a very great book Red hair is a recessive gene, not dominant. This is basic genetics. Also, it's sometimes very annoying how the author's lack of knowledge of the outside world shines. Most European nations are members of NATO, like the US, with armies and strong economies, summing up that the fate of the world is at the hands of the Americans to the extreme point made in the book is a bit over the top, insensitive to other cultures, and wrong. There are also some movements for the better even in those regions under the Doomer rule, there are advanced Asian countries like Japan and Korea where women are treated poorly, but the society is advanced, then there is Australia and New Zealand... Despite these oversights in the story, where it seems like only the US exists with Europe being useless and then MENA, Pakistan, Russia and India being the Doomer territory, it's a very well written series, I will continue reading,it's not like I can put it down...

Fifty shades of love At least I was slated all of the details of an elaborate wedding. What's going on with Andrew and Bridget? Like how all of the characters don't waste time when their carnal nature kicks in. That's right, tell your partners exactly what you want, and the characters waste no time in doing that. I think I have a different view of Amanda, hmmm....she's irrational and don't think about the consequences. Not sure I can call in love with someone that ordered the murder of a family m Fifty shades of love At least I was slated all of the details of an elaborate wedding. This is a paranormal romance series and the sixth in the Children of the Gods series, and final in the Dark Enemy trilogy. The couple are Dalhu an ex-Doom operative and the clan scientist Amanda. Though Dalhu has left DOOM, it becomes hard to redeem himself in both Amanda and the Clans eyes. He is willing to go to extremes to do so. Amanda loves Dalhu, but hates that herself because she feels she is betraying her nephew’s memory. Lucas spins us a wonderful finale for this “captive”ating couple.

Dalhu and Amanda When Amanda truly understands the gravity of her intended mate and that he's responsible for her cousins murder. She takes off, but is even more miserable. When she comes home, she moves into Dalhu prison with him. But she still can't give him the words he desperately needs to hear. He pledges to do anything to pay for his sins against her family. And boy does her ever.

Amanda's character is more complex in this installment. Dalhu's will and love for Amanda shines brightly throughout the book while Amanda struggles with who he was and his past. This is a fast paced book about redemption and love. Also, the reader get better insight into the guardians and some of their stories.

Am still enjoying these books but they are starting to feel a little of plagiarism with many terms and situations that reflect other paranormal authors. As I believe someone has already mentioned in a review, the use of 'True' in Andrew's convos smacks of Vishous and although I like him as a character he can't hold a candle to that particular Brother.

🎉Book 22 is coming out!🎉 Even with the sets and characters different I have to start at the beginning with book 1. You never lose a character through the books, I love that. The flow goes from one book to the next, one love story, one war, and you never lose sight of anyone! Great story idea, you tired of vampires, and shape shifters. I love this one. Great job!

Didn't see how we were ever going to get to HEA with all of Dalhu's baggage. He was truly willing to do whatever it took. In the first book of this story arc he said determination and unwillingness to quit could bring success. If all the guys I've met in this series, so far, Dalhu is my favorite. Love an underdog who won't give up.

Okay read. It was okay. Lots of boring parts unfortunately. It feels like filler to make the story longer to make money. I think I'm done with this series - paying over $4 for each section of the story when nothing much happens in them is not my idea of a worthwhile expense.

Four Stars I wanted Amanda to have her HEA and she did but she was very hard to relate to. I found myself rushing through some of her parts as well as a couple others. I’m rating four stars instead of less because overall I really like the series just not this character.
