I decided to jump into this series at #76. It's pretty easy to follow, though, partially because I watch the CW show, partially because, as always, prior events are recapitulated a bit, whether through dialogue, direct references, or editor's notes. I enjoyed reading this issue. The events are interesting, there's some mystery involved, and the characters are great. I really like the artwork. For me, never having read a DC Comic before, I found it interesting to compare and contrast the style to that of Marvel. I feel like DC is much grittier, and I like that about its heroes and villains. This concept and tone even translate to the page! Marvel's comics are all glossy to the touch with a very light drawing style. At least this issue of a DC Comic is physically gritty as well--no glossy finishes. And the drawing style is more sketchy with deeper, more saturated colors. It's an interesting contrast to note. I will definitely pick up #77 and see how the story continues. I like the addition of new Forces into the universe, and I'm curious about them. I'm already familiar with the Speed Force, which I find interesting, so knowing there are six other Forces makes me want to learn more.
