Learn how wild mustangs were first introduced to America and how they still roam free today. On the North American plains, wild mustangs have roamed for generations . . . shaping human history and struggling to survive it. For the Spanish, they were a tool of conquest. For Native Americans, they brought on a new way of life where horsemanship and horse-trading were central. Learn how wild mustangs were first introduced to America and how they still roam free today. A must for history fans and horse lovers! This is a text-heavy comic that covers a lot of American mustang history in bite-sized panels. The characters leading you through the timeline are entertaining and provide a little comedy. I found the history of the mustang fascinating, and the book didn't shy away from the parts played by the Spanish and American immigrants overtaking the continent. The art complements the subject perfectly. Loved all the horse illustrations! The mustang history comes t A must for history fans and horse lovers! A good dive into the surprisingly complicated history of horses in North America. The art is excellent, with decent flow between panels, dialog, and graphics. I'm excited to read more in this new series, as I already love the Science Comics series! A good dive into the surprisingly complicated history of horses in North America. A fascinating history of the wild mustangs (horses!) of the American West. Not quite the cleverness of the Nathan Hale Hazardouse Tales graphic novels, but very similar in format.

Excellent history of wild horses in America. It felt pretty complete to me, and I really liked how much focus was put on how the mustangs shaped Native American culture.
